    Espresso Martini

My friend and I wanted to grab a bite to eat after zip lining in Buellton, CA before heading back to Santa Barbara. We were really not in the mood for wine and thought this would be a perfect stop based on reviews. The restaurant was very nice with indoor and patio seating. It was a gorgeous day so we sat at the high top on the patio. Ashleigh introduced herself, very nice and attentive. I ordered and Espresso Martini and my friend ordered beer. We shared a Smoked Beef Brisket with a side of Fries and a Caesar Salad. The plate came out fast along with our drinks. We both thought the salad was OK. The fries were delicious. The Beef Brisket tasted really good and was tender, but unfortunately the 3 pieces that we were served were very fatty at $37. didn't cut it... Sorry. Would we try again, not sure, though drinks were good, maybe try the burger. Judge for yourself. Atmosphere: very nice laid back feel. Service: excellent. Food: fatty for the price not a good value.

Solid BBQ spot in the heart of Solvang! The brisket and pulled pork were tender and smoky. Outdoor seating is cozy and there are heaters at every table for the chilly nights; and the service was friendly. Skip the Danish pastries for a day and come here for some real bbq!

A cute smokehouse in an adorable Danish town. We came on a Thursday and were seated right away. We ordered two drinks that came out quickly and I decided on the chicken sandwich and my friend got fries with bbq on top. The chicken sandwich was good but I have had better. The drinks were very good. I'd love to come back and try more of their menu.

Definitely our "go to" when we visit the area. Excellent cocktails and awesome food options. Paired with friendly service. And sitting right in the middle of beautiful Solvang.

This is one of the most recommended places if you ask the locals in the town, and that's always a good sign. It's on the corner of Copenhagen Street, and outdoor seating had a nice cozy vibe with heaters in the patio setting. We chose to sit inside as it was a little chilly in the evening. The staff was super helpful and very patient, as we struggled to finalize an order. They even changed my order after I put it in. The ribs were great, and their homemade bbq sauce hits the spot. We ordered the seasoned fries and Mac n cheese as sides, and they were amazing too. The fries did have a spicy kick to it, and Mac n cheese were fresh and creamy. The only nitpicking I'd do with the ribs is they were slightly dryer on the outside, but no complaints other than that.

We were visiting from out of town and decided to try this place and it didn't disappoint! My husband and I shared the bbq trio, Cesar salad, corn bread and brisket dirty fries. Everything tasted amazing and the service was great, fast and friendly!

Stopped in with my wife and family just after their opening on Tuesday. Believe we might have been first in the door. Though my wife and I have visited Solvang many times in the past, this place was not around. We were all very happy with our visit! We opened with cocktails, mine was the Maple Bacon Old Fashioned. That cocktail was delicious! No started were wanted by the majority put I would have liked to try their fried pickles. Our brother in law ordered the Brisket, while his wife and I both ordered the Cobb Salad, and my wife a side of Macaroni & Cheese. Our dishes came relatively quickly. I must say the Cobb Salads were HUGE! Not only huge but delicious as well! The Brisket was amazing according to our brother in law and my wife enjoyed the Mac &Cheese. We all look forward to coming back again!

Food was great, the service was even better given by Brandy. The drinks were made perfect by Bryle, hope I spelled their names correctly. There selection of bourbon is also great

Espresso Old Fashioned not a whiskey drinker but our server/bartender Brandei made me change my mind. Excellent food and service.

First stop in Solvang and most memorable place of my trip! The ribs were delicious! No reservation, wait was about 15-20 minutes on Thursday 7pm which is pretty good. Note, went during restaurant week. Restaurant week option ($30) for 3 course meal, and additional $20 for drinks flight. Ordered half-rack of baby back ribs and smoked brisket with garlic smashed potato and seasoned fries. The restaurant has a great indoor and outdoor flow. Awesome customer service too! Salad plates were awesome size and tasted delicious. The baby back ribs were delicious, the flavor was awesome. Half a ribs were about 9 pieces, the meat was tender and easy to eat. Seasoned fries were basic, so go for the garlic smashed potato. The drink called puncher's mule was tasty, tasted sweet like apple pie. The smokehouse contains delicious bbq, great portions, and awesome staff service. Definitely will come back for the brisket or ribs.

Great spot if you're in the Solvang area. Can't believe I've missed it before. Happened to be Restaurant Week so I was able to get the special for $30 that included a Farm Salad, half rack of baby back ribs and a side, plus a chocolate smoked S'mores Mousse. All yummy! Bartender / server was attentive, as were several other staff who helped and ran the food. I was a solo diner so I sat at the bar, but inside was pretty busy for a random Tuesday night. Cute property. Happy hour ended at 530 which I just barely missed. I wlll make sure to come back next time I'm in town!

Absolutely loved our server but the food was just okay. We were recommended this place by a local. As someone who also worked in the service industry, I loved our waitress. She had great suggestions; super knowledgeable about the drink and food menu. As for the ribs and brisket, we were rather disappointed. The ribs and brisket were a little dry. Ribs tasted better day two as leftovers.

Came here on MLK and made reservations on Open Table but since we were there at opening -- we were good. They have a nice patio as well as indoor seating. Very good service and they didn't mind our small dog -- very accommodating. We both split the brisket sandwich which was good. Though I thought it would have been more like slices then pulled but still good. They gratefully split it for us and we also had a side ceasar salad and a beer. Great little spot in Solvang if you are wanting bbq. Wish I could have tasted more. Great spot to come and get some lunch or dinner and they do do brunch on weekend so come hungry!

The hubby got the spiced rum old fashioned, which had an ice cube with a lion's face etched onto it--a nice touch. I got one of their tiny Negronis, which came in a cute tiny mug and cost $5 (it sounded fun). Both tasted great and we had a nice time sipping our drinks and taking in the decor. Alas we had to be on our way so couldn't linger long, but we'd definitely love to stop by again the next time we're in town.

My friends and I were sitting in a booth near the karaoke stage when my purse and white sweater accidentally slipped into the gap between the booth and the wall. Apparently, this gap contains part of the karaoke power setup, because the karaoke briefly stopped working when my belongings fell into it. If that area is truly that critical, it seems like a serious oversight that it is left completely uncovered and accessible to customers. The way the situation was handled was completely unacceptable. The karaoke DJ, Eric, came over to retrieve my belongings. Instead of simply placing them back on the booth seat or handing them to me, he threw my purse and sweater onto the floor while yelling at me and my friends. As a result, a bottle of perfume inside my purse shattered, my belongings were scattered, my purse was damaged, and my white sweater was dirtied. What bothered me most was not the accident itself, but the level of hostility and aggression directed toward me over something that was clearly unintentional. At no point was there any attempt to calmly explain the issue or address the situation respectfully. Instead, I was publicly embarrassed and treated as though I had done something wrong rather than accidentally dropping belongings into an exposed gap in the seating area. I was genuinely shaken by the interaction. In all my years of going to bars, restaurants, concerts, and other public venues, I have never had an employee throw my personal belongings on the ground while yelling at me. The response from management was equally disappointing. When two of my friends approached management to express concern about what had happened, they were threatened with being removed from the bar rather than having their concerns taken seriously. I understand that technical issues can be frustrating and that mistakes happen. What I do not understand is why a customer was subjected to that kind of treatment over an accidental incident that could have been handled with a simple conversation. The entire experience was humiliating, unnecessary, and completely avoidable. I hope management takes a serious look at both the exposed setup near the karaoke stage and the conduct of the staff involved, because no customer should be treated this way. If anyone from Whiskey Richard's would be willing to contact me further, I'd genuinely appreciate it.

The restaurant was busy. Our server was great. She introduced herself (Giana I believe she said) and helped us understand that the intent of the menu and dining approach is a sharing format. The plates and portion sizes vary depending upon the item. Cocktails: The Lark has a very interesting (in a good way) cocktail menu. Our party tried 5 different cocktails. Everyone loved their drink and commented on how well made they were. Food: The restaurant provides complimentary dill pickle popcorn (10/5) as a snack to get your appetite moving. This unique popcorn flavor was one of the best things I had all night. Everyone in our party agreed. We ordered 40% of the menu. The standouts were the fried chicken (5/5), the duck confit (5/5), and the pork ribs (4/5). Dessert: The chocolate pot-a-crème with banana cream (5/5) and donut holes (5/5) were both very tasty. We had a real good experience at the Lark. My only comment as a first timer was gauging how much food to order. We found the menu items in the Farm and Ranch sections were entree sized plates, while the Ocean section plates varied in size considerably. We consequently over ordered and wasted some food. Although our server Giana was helpful, we could have asked more specific questions to assess the quantity of food better. We enjoyed the restaurant vibe, cocktail program and many of the plates. If I lived in SB, I would have dinner here every other month and enjoy the dill pickle popcorn and the fried chicken with their signature Paloma to wash it all down.

I started popping in early, more than a little wary, cautious to plan for an early departure. But slowly I got to know the other staff. The absolute nicest bunch of people in Santa Barbara. People I never went out of my way to befriend, who picked me out as a regular, showed me respect I never asked for, treated me with the utmost kindness even though I never did much to deserve it. Wildcat has become a place where I'm comfortable walking in, even on a busy Friday or Saturday night; and know I'll be valued, respected, and protected, even by people I barely know. And also served the absolute coldest draft beer in the city except for Lure which closes at 10. This sounds like an ad but I swear it's the damn truth. Be prepared to wait in line. We headed to the back to sit down before ordering drinks, just chatting and minding our business. A staff member came out to turn on the heaters, then immediately walked up to us and said he needed to check all of our IDs again. We let him know we had just been checked at the door, but he didn't respond at all--just completely ignored that and insisted. We handed over our IDs one by one, and the way he checked them was honestly uncomfortable. He was shining a black light super aggressively, flashing it in our faces even though we were literally just sitting there having a conversation. It felt unnecessary and almost like he was looking for a problem that wasn't there. What made it even worse was how careless he was with matching the IDs to the right people. He kept handing them back to the wrong person, even after staring at our photos. The most confusing part was when my female friend handed him her ID and, after checking it, he repeatedly tried to give it back to one of my male friends. That male friend pointed at her multiple times saying, "that's her ID," and the guy still tried to hand it back to him. If you're checking IDs that thoroughly, I'd expect you to at least be able to tell the difference between a man and a woman--especially when the photo is right there. Overall, the whole interaction felt intrusive, unnecessary, and honestly a bit disrespectful. Tons of locals recommended this place to us, so it was super disappointing to have an experience like this especially when celebrating a friend's birthday. I don't know the name of the staff member, nobody was wearing name tags. But he's an incredibly rude older man. Hi Dawn, it was the day I posted this review, December 8th maybe 9-10pm

I had heard so many great things about Jocko's over the years and just never made it there…read more Finally! I went recently with a friend. First, service was outstanding. I had a reservation and we were seated immediately. Dan was our server, and he was gregarious and efficient. We liked him a lot. I ordered the pork ribs and hash brown casserole while my friend ordered the ravioli. We enjoyed the beans, pickles and crackers while we waited; it wasn't long before our meals arrived. The ribs were delicious and huge! Very meaty, not skimpy at all, and just enough seasoning to make them pop. The hash brown casserole was also terrific, and I enjoyed those leftovers the next day. The ravioli is stuffed with meat, and the meat sauce was thick and, well, meaty. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit! I recommend you make a reservation if you can. They do take walk-ins but you might be waiting a long time.

Jockos is great and their steaks are very flavorful, no doubt about that. I understand steaks shrink a little when you cook them. But that's a whole half of steak that I didn't receive and when you are paying the prices they charge ($52.50) you expect to receive what you are paying for. I didn't want to drive all the way back so I'm writing this review to let everyone know. If you can weight your steaks!!!!

Honestly... save your money…read more I dropped by this Jordanian restaurant /hookah lounge to chill for a bit, have a beer, and enjoy some hookah. It looked like a cool vibe from the outside, but the whole experience left me super disappointed. When I walked in, the place was empty--just the owner and two staff. No greeting, no welcome, just awkward silence while the owner stayed on the phone trying to fix what sounded like a billing issue. The staff didn't speak much English (which is fine), but there was no real effort to help or explain anything either. Eventually, I got a hookah and a beer--$48.50 for one hookah and one beer. Yeah... nearly $50. No food, no extras. That's wild. Then I was told I had to smoke outside on the back patio, which turned out to be a tiny little corner--maybe 6 by 10 feet--with uncomfortable chairs and a random wood bench. It took 15 minutes to even get the hookah (remember, no one else was there), and when it arrived, it was totally burnt. Overpacked, harsh hits, and I ended up having to scrape it and fix it myself just to get it to smoke right. Wanna know the kicker? You only get three coals. That's it. No refills unless you pay for more. No one checked on us for almost an hour, and when I finally asked for more coals, they said (in broken English and mostly Spanish) that that's all you get unless you pay extra. I've smoked hookah all over the place--three coals is nothing, especially when you're charging $35+. No one came around, no vibe, no music, no nothing. Just me, my burnt hookah, and a beer that wasn't even cold. I really tried to find something redeeming about this place, but nothing hit. The service wasn't there, the product wasn't good, and it honestly felt like I was bothering them just by being there. Bottom line: for $50, you can do way better just about anywhere else--or even at home. Hope they turn it around, but for now, I wouldn't recommend it.

There are also games available to use. It is a little bit dark inside. The food was good. We got the burger and the shawarma wrap. The service was good. There is one one cook and a one bartender. The food came quickly. Everyone was really nice and friendly. Take-out available
