Whitecaps Pizza is a great pizza option in North Lake Tahoe. Located in Kings Beach just a short drive from Incline Village, it offers beautiful lake views, a relaxed atmosphere, and some seriously tasty pizza. The pizza is absolutely the reason I keep coming back. My longtime favorite is the Soppressata pizza with hot honey drizzle. The combination of spicy, savory, and sweet is outstanding, and it might be one of the few pizzas that's just as good the next day as leftovers. On my most recent visit, we tried the Vodka Pie on the Detroit-style crust. While I enjoyed the flavors, I discovered that the Detroit-style crust probably isn't for me. Going forward, I'll stick with their more traditional crust options, which I've consistently enjoyed over the years. The beet salad is another standout. It's beautifully presented, and the fresh dill on top adds a unique touch that works surprisingly well. My only suggestion would be to increase the portion of beets a bit, as the amount felt somewhat limited compared to the rest of the dish. The beer selection is extensive, with plenty of options for almost any taste. Wine drinkers will find a handful of choices available by the glass or half bottle, which is appreciated, although none of the wines I've tried have been particularly memorable. The biggest challenge for Whitecaps continues to be the service. While I've had a few positive experiences, I've also had multiple visits where service felt inattentive and unfriendly. It often seems difficult to get someone's attention when you need something, and there have been occasions where details were overlooked, including being served wine in a visibly dirty glass. While it was replaced when brought to their attention, the lack of acknowledgment or apology left something to be desired. That said, I continue to return because the pizza is genuinely that good. Between the lake views, the casual atmosphere, the excellent beer selection, and tasty pizza. Whitecaps remains a great place to gather with friends, share an appetizer and a pizza, and enjoy a cold drink. If the service ever catches up to the quality of the food, this place could easily become a top pizza option in NLT.

This place is worth the wait. Sit at the bar. The pizza is awesome, beer is awesome. Service is great. What does could you ask for.

We did some kayaking then found this right across Tahoe Beach Company where we rented the kayaks. We loved the 3 appetizers -- Crab Grillet, Roasted Beets, and Anchovy on Toast. We also had two 12" pizza and loved them, too. Super friendly staff.

What a fun Saturday night dinner vibes. They have plenty of TVs to watch the games. Beer selection was good and the pizza options are so diverse. The staff was kind and attentive. We will definitely be back! We ordered the garlic cheese bread to start and it was perfectly crispy!

Two very good things which is why this is not a 1 star review. 1. Kate our server was fantastic 2. The pizza was delicious. Unfortunately the rest of the staff particularly the rude bartender, skinny brunette girl with tattoos, could not have been worse. And our pizza took over an hour to get and was not warm so clearly the staff didn't bother to bring it out on time. See the picture for further comments

I avoid carbs for health reasons. I will break all my rules for Whitecaps. * The pizza: The Italian arrived nuclear hot, fresh, and flawless! * The service: Friendly, efficient, actually cares. * The beer: Extensive tap selection that'll make you stay for round two. * The vibe: You can tell everyone here actually gives a damn! Ha! If you're in Tahoe and you skip this place, you messed up. I'll be back before my blood sugar even recovers.

Very nice staff! The pizza was good, soup and salad were solid too. Great choice of beers as well. The views from the upstairs are incredible. Definitely coming back!

Side pasta salad. I had been actually craving this and it hit the spot. 10/10 and I liked that it wasn't overly saucy

Had a wonderful quick girls trip to Tahoe with my favorite girlfriends and this hit the spot for dinner! Fresh Cesar salad with house made cesar dressing and a fungi pizza absolutely delicious! It even kept well the next day cause we enjoyed it for breakfast! Best pizza spot in Tahoe. It was packed when we went to pick up the food too so I absolutely LOVE that it was just as great to go!

We've been to Whitecaps a few times over the years and always enjoyed it, but after a few years gap, I can say the pizza is better than ever! The crust is exactly what I like--that New York thin but with a little puff and chew in the outer crust. We got regular cheese--perfect for kids--margherita, and some kind of everything with lots of meat. Glad we got takeout because on a Saturday night, the restaurant was mobbed! And yet somehow, even though they were overwhelmed with orders (takeout orders were only walk-in, not taken over the phone), the wait was not long at all!

We met some longtime friends for dinner last night and it was relaxing and tasty! We started off with some robust drinks and apps! Ahi Napolean was the highlight with the BBQ/Spicy prawns coming in a close second. Three of us ordered the Lemongrass Ginger Brick Chicken and it was tender and juicy with just the right amount of Asian spices. We all raved YUMMY!! My wife had the Rack of Lamb which she enjoyed and I got to sneak a couple of bites...tender tasty. My friend's son had the Grilled Ribeye which was massive and oozing with juice. The Finale! Dessert is never an option with my Sicilian taste buds so Tiramisu and Pistachio Cheese Cake sedated and cleansed our palates! The overall dining experience was good as we sat outside on the patio with a perfect evening and no bugs in site! It was fairly busy and the servers were definitely having to add a couple of steps in their service. It's a beautiful spot almost on the lake and if you're a golfer, Old Brockway GC is a stunner and has some great history to go along with the perfect greens. Enjoy!

Burger was decently cooked and fries were tasty but has a short window of warmth/freshness. The Mexican Benedict was yummy and served with cubed potatoes. Good sized portions and friendly service.

Here is what we noticed: - Our reservation was at 5:30, the time they open, and a bunch of people arrived all at once, but they quickly seated us all - They only serve beer and wine, but their wine list was really good and bottle prices were very reasonable for a restaurant. - Our server came over pretty quickly despite so many people arriving at once. - The menu is pretty broad with lots of different options, and there were many other specials as well. - My wife and I ordered the rack of lamb and the fettuccine with shrimp with added scallops. Both dishes came with complementary soup first. It's difficult to say which dish we liked more since both were excellent. The bread and hummus on the table was a welcome addition, and was especially good for sopping up the wonderful sauce from each dish. - We got tempted by dessert and opted for the bread pudding with a side of homemade ice cream. Wow wow wow is all I can say! - Service was great...There were three people working the entire place so service was attentive, but not overbearing. Bottom line: I almost don't want to rave too much because I don't want the place to get too crowded, but it's better than any place around that we've been to. We'll be back for sure!

The steak was a little too chewy and tough for my taste, but overall good flavor. I loved the wild rice pilaf side! - lemonade and sierra sunburn: both really fresh and seemed like they were made from fresh lemons! the raspberry in the sunburn was great The lighting was warm and the lights were really overhead. The benches were comfortable and not cold to sit on, and overall nice, clean, comfy environment. Service was really friendly and apologized that the drinks menu didn't have dairy-free options for some of the drinks with dairy, overall really attentive and engaging. Our server was friendly and knowledgeable, and she did a great job walking us through the day's specials as well as some of her favorite picks. I started with the In Crowd cocktail and really enjoyed it. The coconut, basil, and bitters balanced beautifully with the gin, making for a super refreshing drink that felt especially perfect for spring or summer weather. We followed our server's advice and ordered four items, two larger plates and two starters, and everything was delicious. Here's the breakdown: Trout Dip: Fantastic smoky, fishy flavor in all the right ways, served with crostinis. The only small nitpick was that the crostinis were overdone for my taste and shattered loudly when bitten into. Grilled Prawns: Super meaty and seasoned and sauced perfectly, with a bed of slaw that balanced the dish nicely. Scallops: Seared to perfection and in an addicting red Thai curry sauce. I was intrigued by the combo of kimchi, grits, and curry and have to say that it somehow blends amazingly well. Lamb Chops: Cooked to a perfect medium rare, expertly seasoned, with little gaminess and a cooling yogurt sauce that really brought the dish together. All in all, it was a fantastic meal and easy to see why this place is such a favorite among both locals and tourists. The food, the drinks, and the service all come together to make this a great option for any occasion from a casual night out (us) to celebrating something memorable like a graduation (several were happening while we were there).
