Awesome Neapolitan style pizza! A step up from your run-of-the-mill pizza. Great service.

This was my first time ever visiting Asheville, and somehow one of the places I'll remember most…read morefrom the trip is a sandwich shop/bodega. I stopped in my first day and got the LT sandwich, which was amazing, but I ended up spending almost as much time looking around the store as I did eating. They have everything from local mustards and honey to tinned fish, seasonings, and a whole section from a local creamery with ice cream, yogurt, smoothies, etc. Everything seems thoughtfully picked out and locally sourced when possible, without having the ridiculous prices you sometimes expect from a place like this. The staff was also amazing--genuinely friendly, helpful, and happy to talk about the food and everything they carry. I liked the place enough that, despite having an entire city of restaurants I'd never tried before, I came back the very next day. This time I got the grinder, which ended up being my favorite, along with the roast beef, which was also delicious. Between the sandwiches, the people, and the frankly ridiculous amount of good shit packed into the store, everything about this place was great. There are plenty of places I didn't get a chance to try while I was in Asheville, but I have absolutely no regrets using two lunches on this one. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in town. Shoutout to one of the owners- Patty- goes out of his way to take care of customers

A pair of breakfast sandwiches were handmade while we waited and were almost too big to finish; share, or come hungry. Friendly conversation and a laid back vibe make Forager a great choice to take a break from the crowds. Wholeheartedly recommend!

So I go here 2-3 times a week for lunch because I work nearby. Depending on the employee, the…read moresandwich I get every single time the exact same way can be either amazing or absolute trash. It's so wildly inconsistent it's actually comical. Their seating is nice however. Quiet and relaxed. One thing I would love to see is some customer service training for the deli bar. Sometimes all it takes is a little bit of effort to make the difference. Also the ingredients they have stocked for sandwich, making can be wildly inconsistent as well. You would think onions to be sliced thin and long for sandwiches, but sometimes I'll come in and it looks like somebody just chopped them on a cutting board as fast as humanly possible. At the end of the day, I don't expect much from Ingles, but since they raised their price for the sandwich from five dollars to seven dollars, I would just hope to see something that resembles effort be consistent. Hopefully they get it right one day either way I still eat there. And hey Bobby, I'm not your "buddy", pal....

This time I made sure to check out the whole store to see what I missed the last time. The store is very clean and open. The prepared food section is large and has whatever you might be wanting to eat. The prices were really good here too. The staff was friendly and genuine too. As I am in Asheville a lot this will be a regular stop for me but if I lived in the area this would be where I bought my groceries.
