I wished I stayed a little longer, but this was the staycation I really needed. The owner is very sweet and made my overall experience amazing. The room looks exactly like the pictures, super clean and pretty designs. I included a breakfast in bed and 1 hour massage during my stay and it made the experience 10x better. Would recommend this for anyone traveling to Chicago or for anyone who just needs a weekend getaway. The location is very convenient because there's a lot of restaurants, shops and the blue line train is in the area. I'm planning to come back here again!

Stylish wallpaper that gives the room a fun pop!

Cute B&B in a beautiful neighborhood! So close to lots of shopping and eateries. It is stylish and and had all the modern amenities one would want! Including heated tiles in the bathroom which was my favorite!

The bathroom was so clean! This was in the Ellen King

I booked a room using Wicker Park Inn's office promo for my husband's birthday! We live in Chicago and didn't need a different place to stay for the night, so we were able to use the room as a home base during the day to watch TV from the comfy bed, make trips to Jeni's, have Zoom calls, and order takeout from Wicker Park restaurants. We picked up food and brought it back to the inn to eat in the lovely dining area. The guest room was great and the bathroom in particular was outstanding. Laura was very accommodating and helped when I had wifi issues as well as bringing in an extra chair for us to do family video calls together. We felt very safe the entire time we were there and Laura had a mask on any time we had questions or needed help. Highly recommend for a daycation!

Amazing! Fully remodeled chic Bed and Breakfast. Very intimate and romantic setting in the rooms. The community kitchen is just unbelievably cool. Breakfast was dynamite. We have been to many B&Bs over the years and this is by far the most unique of all. It's in the fantastic Wicker Park neighborhood where there is unlimited things to do. Dozens of restaurants from high end to affordable and cozy. There are art galleries, unique resale shops and more. All are in walking distance from the Inn. This is a must stay place if your looking to visit the Chicagoland area.

The rooms have everything I want: a place to hang my clothes, shelves to put my things, a desk to work upon, an easy to connect to bluetooth speaker, nice bath products, and a comfy bed with great sheets. There's a closet with clothing steamers (a must have hotel item for me!), irons and DISTILLED WATER. Anyone who is serious about steaming uses distilled water to do it. (Thank you for knowing this, Publishing House!) I went directly to this closet to get myself a steamer! There's a kitchen where you can make yourself a pot of tea (or coffee) any time, a fridge you can put your food in, and a beautifully appointed living room that you can hang out in (with, or without, your friends). I don't usually eat breakfast but the breakfast (included in your stay!) is too good to pass up! Glorious cooked breakfasts plus fruit, granola, yogurt, and homemade baked goods. The staff is made up of talented and attractive staff who are also kind and helpful. The Publishing House is my dream come true. If I could find a place like it in New York, Toronto, and LA I'd be 10X happier to travel to those cities.

There's a warmth here. And that's something even the snazziest of hotels can't promise. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy bougie hotels too, but this place has a story. The dry sauna and steam room were more than enough comfort, and while we couldn't enjoy the roof deck due to storms, it looked like the perfect place to chill. Our room was spotless, we had plenty of space, and the jacuzzi tub was the cherry on top. Breakfast is included, and the food from that kitchen was stellar. They had an entire separate vegan menu. I was super into the local kombucha and fermented hot sauce options, and the vegan French toast and tofu scramble were spot on. There are always snacks and beverages available around the clock, too. So fear not, my fellow snackers. As far as the vibe, let's just say the founder must have made randomness their full-time job. There is art all over the place, plus collections of all shapes and sizes. Two dozen antique cameras? Got it. 15 or so vintage thermoses on a shelf? Yep. Rock collections, statues, maps, and more? There is just stuff to look at EVERYWHERE. And I mean that in the best way possible. My wife booked us a little one-night getaway, and Ashley and the team made the whole thing a treat. Smooth sailing from start to finish, friendly, accommodating, and the room was our cozy little home away from home, even if only for a night. Completely walkable to all kinds of fun and shopping. Zero complaints. I can't say I've been to a place like Ray's before. It's a community. Just check the common rooms where you'll find board games, books about art and the neighborhood, and people just chilling out. It's unique, and we need more uniqueness these days. Ray's is the kind of place I love to recommend. Anyone can grab a hotel, but this type of visit is something much more memorable.

Very friendly staff and a quirky vibe - perfect for people who want something more relaxed. Breakfast is included and you order off a menu they give you. Very good! They also have free snacks! Although a continental breakfast was provided each day, a cook prepared breakfast tacos and tortillas our first two mornings. Both were very tasty. The kitchen is available around the clock if you want to make a panni sandwich. They also had housemade lasagna in the refrigerator for a quick 2-minute reheating in the microwave. Our charming unit is probably one of the smallest in the building, but it was perfect for us, as we were visiting relatives nearby. It included a bed, desk, bath and fireplace. It did have an outdoor patio and direct access to the complex's hot tub. The unit's shower is in the hallway near the front door, not in the bath itself. That was odd, but we made it work. Staying in late February, our $189 night rate was extremely fair for what we received. We plan to return soon.

First, they made me put a $350 deposit down and told me that if I did not cancel at the 2 weeks to go time point I would then be liable for the cost of my full stay if they did not fill the room. Then, I learned from reviews, and after my wife talked to the owner, that the "breakfast" part of the deal was not quite the B&B experience I'm used to. It's more like a continental set-up with like hot scrambled eggs. Not the home-cooked interesting breakfast items served by the house, different items each day. This was not disclosed to me when I called to make the reservation. Then, when I decided to cancel (mainly for those reasons), 3 weeks out from my date, the house withheld $50 of my $350. This was not disclosed to me when I called to make the reservation. The lady said it was on the "small print" of the email, and indeed it was. BAD PRACTICE! Maybe if you are a frequent visitor and you've enjoyed your stay, great. If you're coming from out of town and never went there, consider these practices. NOT GOOD.
