Used to be really good back when Joaquin worked there. Seems ok now. They must have redone the dining room as there used to be a lot of carvings in the wood paneling in reference to someone named Ed and his spending habits. The area is a bit dicey though. My significant other and I were craving a pastrami sandwich for so long now and we had a coupon for a dollar off each sandwich (two maximum for the coupon). We decided to give it a try, the ads looked good. After a long day of grocery stores and errands we thought it would be nice. So I ordered inside instead of the to-go line since I wanted to make sure they got the orders right. I didn't want any processed cheese on them and I don't know how many times I have to tell places NO CHEESE before they can get it right. They have the inside of the place nicely decorated for Christmas (silver tree with red bulbs that looks very festive). And the place was tidy and clean. The cashier who took my order was obviously a newbie and looked tired so I was trying to not make it too hard on her. I had a very long wait and didn't know what the hold up was. Then out of the blue I heard someone say "One of those sandwiches has cheese and the other without." Oh no, I knew that was my order that they were getting wrong! I flew up to the counter and told them no cheese. So the sandwich maker had to redo them so more of a wait. She had to tell the newbie to punch the no cheese button not just once but twice if the sandwiches both have no cheese. So if you order more than one sandwich that you don't want cheese on make sure they punch that button for the exact amount of sandwiches you are getting. If you get 9 sandwiches they have to punch it 9 times and so forth. Longer wait but I understand the newbie was frustrated. I've worked in fast food myself before when I was younger and it can be hectic, fast paced and drain you of all energy by the end of the day. The poor newbie was getting orders wrong left and right. They kept having to redo all the drive through orders as well. Oh by the way, the sandwiches were great, a definite must to get! We ordered heavy pickle though and they didn't give us that. There was barely any at all. After redoing the order she must have not looked at the ticket for the heavy pickle. Very torn as to which star rating to give this experience. I wish they had half stars I would give a little more. Not sure about a whole 4 stars. read more

I want to start off by saying Wienerschnitzel has and probably will always be my favorite fast food establishments. Oh the childhood memories with my dad. And now the sad part. I am so done with this "let's pass the buck" attitude. I have had (3) separate wrong orders in the past month. Fist time they forgot my corn dogs. 2nd time I ordered a chili cheeseburger and asked for cheddar cheese in lieu of American cheese and got American anyways. This 3rd time we order one Carolina Dog and one Texas Dog along with two corn dogs a chili cheese fries and a strawberry shake. "Surprise" that's not what we got. They gave us two Texas Dogs, cold chili cheese fries I mean the cheese wouldn't even melt from the chili !! The corn dogs were slightly warm. The fact that they weren't hot in itself was no big problem. I called them up now for the 3rd time and this is what they said when I explained that I was not happy about this happening for a third time. 1st person supposedly the manager "let me get the person at the window" because I'm not understanding what the problem is. 2nd person "it's not my fault I was on break". I said I'm not looking to say who is at fault I'm asking what are you going to do about me always having to drive back after I get home? Which by the way is a 10 minute trip. He said like I said it wasn't my fault. I asked him was it mine. He said "no". I said then stop saying it's not your fault. He said well what I'm saying is that it is not the counter workers fault it is the cooks fault he probably didn't read the order. If this is how a business is run then people there is a serious customer service issue here. Please don't tell someone who calls and has a legitimate issue that it is not your fault and that if they drive all the way back there you will gladly replace the wrong item with the one that they originally ordered. My time is valuable and my patience has now been worn thin. Somebody needs to step up and make it right for the customers who are only asking to have their order made correctly. I asked them for a district managers phone number and they refused to give me it. Hence the reason for this review. I hope someone from Wienerschnitzel reads this and actually cares about their customers! read more

I just went through the drive-through, I got my food and I don't even know what it looks or tastes like but they get five stars! As I was sitting waiting in the drive-through lady's car broke down and the drive-through attendant and another guy helped her push it out and get safely into a parking spot! I just thought that was a really really great because he definitely didn't have to do that I wish I would've gotten his name! On my receipt it says Jesus. Had to stop by Wienerschnitzel with my friend, as I haven't been to one in years and we were both craving their Chili Cheese Dog. We ordered through the drive thru, and unfortunately the wait for 2 dogs was about 7 mins! Very long! The dogs were good and hit the spot. read more

Interesting part of town but what else do you expect all I could say is chili cheese dogs!

I feel traumatized just because of kids meal. They released 1.99 kids meal and we used it here. In the picture, it has nuggets and white milk. We ordered the same as pictured on coupon. But without any notice, they charge us $0.50 extra for milk. Someday we used again, they gave a plastic cup for toy. Again without warning, they did not give milk as ordered. When we came back, the male cashier (seemed like a shift leader or manager) said, you can use that cup for that fountain drink. I SAID : MY GIRL DOES NOT DRINK THAT SWEETENED BEVERAGES and other hand, that toy was not prewashed yet. read more

I have been to this location on many occasions. I usually go through the drive through in the afternoon or late at night. Every time I go, the staff here is very welcoming and nice. It can be tough to work in fast food, but everyone is always so cheery. During my most recent visit, I was very stressed out and studying for my last final of the school year. Kelsey was my cashier and she was very friendly while still completing my order quickly and accurately. Chris gave me my food and was also very nice. It was after 10pm. I doubt I would have been in such a good mood if I had to work that late, but Kelsey was all smiles and Chris was too. Kelsey even wished me good luck on my final and waved as I drove off. I would highly recommend this particular location because their staff really goes the extra mile. read more

Okay I had a craving for chili cheese fries right... Where do you go yep you got it. Here at this place. I have went in the past a lot and the service was great. But the past 6 times I have went this month. I tried to forgive the rude customer service from the drive through cashier today on March 15' 2014 at 2:29 pm Chk 298 GST 3. Well the third I went with my daughter and they a little bit of chilli I mean it mostly dry salty fries. Now another time my daughter asked a chocolate dipped cone and she gave her strawberry my daughter is special needs she just cried.. The worker was like oh well. Gave us our food and slammed the window door. I am starting to feel like we are not welcomed at all. We never argue with them were nice we say thank you and please may we have a fork and note we ordered two chili cheese fries and she gave us one fork. The manager has changed I remembered his a nice guy lately the past 6 visits even he has a rude demeanor just an awful experience. I noticed a lot of other people were not happy at. I heard one lady say he thinks a free corn dog is going to get me to come back to the person she was with. This place now sucks. I will find another one eat at... in el cajon.. I went into the El Cajon location last night with my family for dinner. After we ordered our food and sat down my wife mentioned to me that the food preparers were not wearing gloves. I shot back well Im sure they wash their hands and dont just handle the food. I said that as a distraction. So there I sat as we were all eating watching the 3 men working going back and forth from the drive up window, cash register and food prep area. Sure enough after handling food trays and cash none of them washed their hands and went straight to picking up and handling the hot dog buns with their hands. One of the workers Sebastian prepared a banana split and I watched as he cut the banana in half then with his bare hands pulled the banana out from the peel and placed it in the tray. At that point I had enough dumped everything in the trash and left. I'm absolutely disgusted with the practices of this operation and the health department needs to take a look into this establishment immediately. I don't believe this is how you want your franchise displayed so you should look into this immediately as well. Burger King, Taco bell, McDonalds, KFC, etc...all use gloves when preparing food. Is this common practice to not wash your hands touch all kinds of bacteria then spread it onto the food your customers are paying for...? Disgusted and $30 down the drain read more

I do not come here often, but when a craving hits, off to Wienerschnitzel we go. My kids love, love, love Wienerschnitzel. Now a days, it seems that good customer service is quickly becoming obsolete. But Wienerschnitzel never disappoints. It is evident that Customer Service is a priority here. I always receive the best customer service. Always. I generally use the drive thru. Upon reaching the service window, I am greeted with a smile, by the lone employee running the drive thru. Last night I was helped by Chris. He was kind, friendly, and thoughtful. He even offered me ketchup! I do not use ketchup, but it seems as though ketchup is on the verge of becoming a discontinued commodity, as other fast food chains are quite stingy with their ketchup packets. Additionally, the employees here possess a helpful, genuine quality that is hard to find anywhere these days. So whomever is doing the hiring here, kudos to you for having such an awesome team! And thank you again Chris! Your kind spirit reminds me that there are still good people in this world! read more
