WARNING ****Beware of the UNCOOL UPSELL!! So, we all go to places and they usually ask things like... "would you like to make it a large" or "would you like to make it a meal deal"..all kinds of upsells.. Normal, right?! However.....the cheeesy way that that do it here is they ask "would you like the Beef or Polish"? ...most people say..I'll have the beef..not knowing what just really happened.. they had the mystery upsell!! Now, unexpectedly people don't realize they sold you the premium beef for an additional charge!! C'mon...really!! It keeps being offered to me the exact same way, however I'm wise to their game.. So just tonight I watched another customer of theirs go through it and they realized after he heard how much it was...lol. Then he knew.... I saw the look on his face and the tone of his voice i knew how he felt...he felt the same I did when it happened to me....DISGUSTED!!!! I told him about my experience with the same thing and we both agreed...it plain sucks and they should change things up. This is the first Wienerschnitzel I've been to in years, and was super happy with my experience! The employees were nice, didn't seem annoyed when I used my coupon, and the service was extremely fast! The only thing missing that I'd like is a drive theo I do wait until coupons are available and although the prices have gone up through the years, it's still an extremely inexpensive meal ($7 for fries, dog and a burger). I was unsure about the chili, but 1 bite of my fries had me putting it on everything else i ordered The polish dog is a must for me over a regular hotdog. I usually get it plain and add stuff myself. I used to get my chili cheese fries from Nations strictly until they switched the skinny fries they used for their chili fries to some thick, nasty steak fries. Awesome hotdog and chili focused fastfood chain, started in Cali and distinct for being in bright red and yellow A-frame buildings. We really love this Fremont one and keep going despite it not having a drive-through. The lady/owner working here is super sweet and kind, if you are having a bad day she is like a ray on sunshine and that makes the food taste that much better. My wife and I grew up eating Wienerschntizel, they got a lot of people hooked back in the day with their awesome "$3 for 3 deal" which was chili cheese dog, chili cheese burger, and chili cheese fries...it's still the only thing I order when I come here. This it a nostalgic place for us and we love it, I imagine if you never eaten this before it's not going to beat restaurant hotdogs or chili so don't go in thinking it's anything but fast food. The family that owns this wienerschnitzel makes it special, every time I'm in the area I stop by if craving a hotdog because the husband and wife owners are so sweet and kind. They'll greet you with a smile and make nice small talk with you, really loved the service and seeing them. I normally split the food here. It's pretty filling but still worth it for the chili cheese. My favorite is the corndog and all beef chili cheese dog. The bun is super soft on the hotdog so it's easy to compress and take a bite. For a late night snack, I have to say, it exceeded my expectations! I could order everything off the menu- there were fruity pebble shakes, lemonade sundaes and more! The last I could remember ordering from this establishment was when I was a kid, there are not many throughout the Bay Area. What makes this location so special is the owners. Always super nice and make you feel welcome. The staff has also been very good to the customers. Never had I had to go back in due to a mistake. There is no drive through, so you will have to walk in. There can be a line from time to time but it is never that bad of a wait. Visited many time and will many more. read more

Service here is always friendly and the food seems to be cooked fresh for the most part. Such a weird thing to notice but the napkins here are really nice. They feel soft but incredibly sturdy. Easily the nicest napkins from any fast food joint. I'm not much of a fan of hot dogs so I can't really comment much on that part of the menu, but the chili cheese fries burritos are delectable and literally the guiltiest of my food pleasures. read more

It's all about the customer service, the lady who owns this location is super friendly and always remembers her customers. In terms of the location itself, the building may not be the best or even cleanest, but really it's the service. The owner and the rest of her staff are so friendly to everyone, and in comparison to the other Fremont location, this one hands down beats that one. The other location ignores you, while this one greets you as soon as you walk up to the counter. Management makes a huge difference! The food is so so, regular Wienerschitzel quality. Also, another great thing is that this location is not cheap and they accept Wiener Rewards! So you can download the app and start earning points, it's 1 point per $1 spent.
