This brunch spot is amazing and has really great mimosas too! Went here for breakfast and our server was really awesome. He was so nice and knowledgeable , we were sat in the corner over by the bar area it was a great atmosphere. The food was also really tasty I got the delicious French toast entree and a side of grits! Both were really good and cooked perfectly! Would definitely come here again whenever in Louisville! My server Amy was rude. Everyone knows that servers are busy (except today it looked like she only had 1 other table), but there is a way to walk up to a table with people mid-conversation and get their attention and then there's Amy...She barges right up and immediately speaks up, blatantly and rudely interrupting our conversation. Not once, not twice, but every single time we saw her. She did not explain anything about the menu even though I said it was my first time. And to top it off, when I asked for a to go coffee she just brought a take away cup, put it on the table and walked away. She missed every single opportunity to make this meal enjoyable. For starters, we were told our wait would be 15-30 minutes...it was an hour. We were checking other places after the half hour, and everyplace by that time had a 30 min wait. The host, a thin guy with glasses, was quite sarcastic in his dealings with customers coming in and asking him questions. The food was so-so. Grits of the day had sausage, red peppers and cheese in them...they were really good and hubby said the potatoes were also good! The eggs, however were way too hard, but ingredients in our omelets were good. Also, we learned, after eating, there was a bar where we could have chosen to sit that was first come, first serve! I have officially been to all Wild Eggs locations in the city. I never thought I'd ever be at this location, but this is the only one my friend goes to. We met up around 9am on a Saturday and the place was already packed! I found a parking spot easily but there were only two left when I got here. Parking is tight and not a selling point to this eatery's location off of Dutchmans. My friend got here before me and waited but two minutes for a table. As we left around 11, there was a wait. Wow! So glad we got here when we did. The space is a lot bigger than I thought, but it felt tight. We were in a booth over in a corner. I wasn't claustrophobic, but too many people sitting so close together in a small space is not my thing. Anyway, I've been to Wild Eggs so many times but haven't tried a lot on the menu. I tend to get the same 2-3 items. I decided to try the smokin' hash, hold the bell peppers and onion. It came with potatoes, eggs, and an everything muffin (the best part of the meal). The roast beef was a bit too salty, but the lightly seasoned potatoes made it tolerable. And of course, the everything muffin is the selling point. Always amazing! My friend got the veggie Bennie Florentinie. It's got artichoke, tomatoes, and spinach to replace the typical ham you get in any standard eggs Bennie. She liked it a lot! On the road trip I was on, Wild Eggs has hands down the best breakfast food. The dish that I got the Farmers Market Skillet was sooo fresh! The food quality to me was really good. The ambiance at Wild Eggs was great. The service was 10/10 to me. I really did like how the waitress checked on my cousins and I any time she was near our table. This is a good breakfast/brunch location for good fun and nice decor. We like to visit this location for breakfast when we are in the area. I'm not a big breakfast guy so I'll usually get chicken and waffles or a Ruben sandwich. My wife and kids love sweets for breakfast so they will get all kinds of pancakes and cinnamon rolls. Upon arriving with water, asked us about our drink order and seemed to try and rush it along, no eye contact, no smile no nothing, rested her arm on the chair next to us as if it's an inconvenience in order to take our order or deal with us. Now this attitude wasn't displayed to all, however, when we ordered the grits of the day, we received no information on it at all. Didn't even ask if we wanted butter or anything with them. Order arrived, and we finished our food, wasn't even completely finished and she literally, without asking, took all of our plates, silverware and all! If I'm not mistaken, it's def made with out of croissant like pastry dough. It was delicious and not overly sweet. To balance the sweet starch, I ordered a side of salty starch, potatoes. The potatoes weren't anything spectacular and they weren't crispy (probably because I ordered to-go). If you have salt aversion, perfect. I had to add a bit more salt and threw them in the air fryer. It made it a tad bit better. The staff was super sweet as I did curbside service. They were also prompt and attentive which is why there's 4 stars!
