Took about 15 minutes to prepare my order of four different sushi rolls: California Asparagus Shrimp tempura Crab Rangoon Everything was great! Got home and saw they gave me chopsticks and both reduced sodium and regular soy sauce. Pro tip: mix your wasabi with your soy sauce. This place is an absolute gem. I'm unsure how it is not more busy. The staff is extremely friendly and welcoming. As soon as you walk in you are immediately greeted warmly. For filling our bellies, we ordered the Steamed Shumai Dumplings Combination, a Tiger Roll, a Dragon Roll, and the Ramen with pork. The Dumplings didn't have much flavor but they were ok. My husband needed a sushi fix, and the rolls did the job. BTW - they have a lot of sushi rolls to choice from. This was my first time eating Ramen. Unfortunately, I wasn't impressed. The pork was tasteless, and the broth was weak. I expected an explosion of flavor but that wasn't the case. It was mostly noodles which I guess is typical? I can't remember them all but we had flaming dragon, waterfall, crab Rangoon, mistake and one with coconut flakes. The reason for the 3 stars is that our rolls fell apart. Wild Ginger never fails! The decor has a quiet, zen feel. Especially in the small dining area behind the doors. The wine display is a piece of art to behold. Its a favorite of our extended family and a great place to meet. I love that the waitstaff is very patient and helpful, too. And the food! My usual sushi spot has been disappointing the last few times so on my search for a new sushi spot, I remembered this little restaurant right downtown Fishers. We went on a Friday night around 7pm and we got seated right away. They do a ton of take out so their indoor seating was full but it seems like there were always a few tables open so a great spot to go if you don't have a reservation. Our server was great and very prompt and attentive to our drinks and making sure our order was right. The sushi itself was fresh and the rolls were surprisingly pretty large. The price is reasonable, especially with how well the rolls were created. We will definitely be back and add this as our new go to sushi restaurant! The only issue I have is that the specials are written on a tiny little board so if you do not see them as you walk in, you have no idea as they do not bring a specials list with the menu. My two favorite rolls are the Mistake Roll and the Jolly Roll. Today, I also tried their firecracker roll that contains jalapeno and it had a bit of heat and was delicious. The Sun roll which I also tried was fine but nothing spectacular and I probably will not get it again. Their seaweed salad is also excellent. I am in shock. This was one of our favorite places for sushi in Fishers. We had a reservation on a Friday night at 7:15. We got there around 7:12 and checked in. Then we proceeded to stand there waiting for a table until 7:45. Their food is great and we were already there so we waited. Then, we ordered dumplings and 5 rolls. The dumplings came out great in 5-10 minutes. The sushi however, did not come to our table until 9pm. We waited over an hour for the sushi. And when it finally did come, they only gave us 4 of the rolls we ordered. They did comp the dumplings which was very nice, but they proceeded to charge us for the 5th roll we never got, so we had to wait longer for that to be fixed. And while all of this waiting was happening, there were SO many takeout orders leaving the restaurant. They were prioritizing takeout rather than the people inside.
