What a wonderful surprise! Didn't check my gps when I decided to meet a friend here. I just assumed Glendale meant it was close to Americana. Soooo not close to Americana. First off, I just want to thank the owners for taking the CDC warnings extremely serious. All staff were wearing masks, every table had a bottle of hand sanitizer, outdoor seating was set comfortably away. Guests were respectful and had masks on when they were not eating. And the staff --- wow! Just super nice, accommodating, and genuinely there to service their community. What a gem for the locals. I would be there every day. I was already there back to back two days in a row. This place is nestled in the hills and I'm so glad to have discovered it, I ended up bringing my family back the next day for a special breakfast. The kids loved it so much they were making plans for their return trip half way through their meal. One suggested it should be a birthday meal as another excuse for returning. The stuffed French toast was a big hit. So were the waffles. I had the avocado toast w poached eggs. Very tasty. The eggs were perfect; not too runny, not overly cooked. We also got the vegan breakfast burrito which was a little more spicy than we had imagined but was totally gobbled up anyway. Delish! read more

It was originally a gas station, but the Wild Oak Cafe was converted into a really nice outdoor dining venue :-) Orders are placed inside at the counter. When the food is ready it's brought to your table; virtually all of the available seating on the outdoor patio. Two of my go-to favorites here are their house-made potato chips and the crispy chicken sandwich. The former are thick, nicely salted and crunchy while the latter is totally delicious! Another good choice from the menu here is the portobello burger. Great food, nice outdoor dining in a woodsy setting adjacent to the Chevy Chase golf course (you can't see the golf course from the seating area), good service. The service is unhurried so be prepared to wait a bit for your meal - the place is busy so you can use the time to wait for a table to open up and enjoy chatting with friends and family. Its a bit pricey, but the food is very good so I didn't object. We had Rainbow Lattes - mocha and caramel (the caramel was almost undetectable). I had the avocado toast and my wife had the stuffed french toast. The servings are very large - we ended up eating about half of our meal and boxed the rest for home. When we go again - and we will definitely go again! - I'd order something the wife and I can split. Parking is mostly along the street (they have a small parking area with at leasta one handicapped spot), but since there are no other businesses on the street, the walk isn't long. read more

Came to try this place for the first time , heard it was a great coffee stop in the middle of the hills of Glendale. It was such a great experience! Wild Oak Cafe is an oasis that is a short climb up Chevy Chase above Glendale. Situated on a nice concrete patio, the dining area is completely covered creating a pleasantly shaded open air space to enjoy the varied delights on the menu. We ordered the Breakfast Burrito, the Breakfast Bowl, the Cali Bowl, and the Waffle. We also added a latte and a Rainbow latte to drink. The breakfast burrito was an excellent combination of scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, hash browns, and cheese with a side of fire roasted salsa. The breakfast bowl was constructed with scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, breakfast potatoes, cheese, toasted red peppers, grilled onions, and avocado with a side of fire roasted salsa. The generous size and great blend of tastes makes this choice a favorite. The cali bowl includes roasted cauliflower, roasted tomatoes, house made pesto sauce, shishito peppers, avocado, egg, and fried shallots. The roasted cauliflower combined with the other well prepared ingredients made this a very satisfying and delicious choice. The waffle was large, light, and fluffy with whipped cream and fresh berries. Yummy! The lattes were fantastic and, as a bonus, were accented with great latte art as shown in the pictures. We loved our visit to Wild Oak Cafe and plan on coming back with family and friends in the future to sample more of the options on their tempting menu. read more

It's pretty overpriced and the service is usually pretty poor (it makes me think perhaps the staff isn't paid well which makes me disappointed) . The vibe reminds me a lot of cafes in Napa, where I worked for several years so I think it's maybe just not for me! The food is good, coffee is ok but there are better spots closer to town. read more

I've been by this place many times, finally stopped in. I think it was a gas station at one time. We came on a Saturday early afternoon. The place seems to be consistantly busy. It was a nice day, maybe upper 60° low 70°. There is only outside tables on a patio but I also noticed that they have heaters so it may be tolerable during colder times. Everything was good, 1/2 burger was massive, grilled cheese sandwich was large. My wife had the chicken soup which was loaded with chicken. They are on the more costly side for what they are serving but it's also convenient, it's the only restaurant for miles not including the country club. read more

The drive coming to Wild Oak Cafe is soooo beautiful! And then when you reach this cute lil restaurant, it's just the perfect place to have brunch! The ambiance and cuteness of the restaurant are winners in my book. I also saw several people brought their dogs, so I'll def have to do that in the future! I got their avocado toast with poached eggs ($15). I always think avocado toast is over priced for what you're getting, and this place was no exception in that regard. lol! As much as I liked the environment, I wasn't a huge fan of their avocado toast... (Maybe I'm an avocado toast snob?) I love arugula, but the toast just tasted a bit too bitter... and also a bit too sour (maybe the lime/lemon?). Idk. It kind of didn't hit the spot for me. I came here today for brunch with my girls. Easy parking and there wasn't any wait. Service was astonishing! Karna was exceptional, kind, and super caring throughout my experience here. She made sure me and my girls got everything we need and was so attentive. The girl with the silver streak was also lovely. Food was great and filling. I got the chicken bowl and didn't expect too much out of a bowl, but there's a lot in there! I loved the fries as well, they were tasty. The caramel frappe hit the spot! I am a sucker for chicken and waffles and this lacks flavor unless you use the spicy maple syrup. But the chicken is a bit leathery and the breading has 0 flavor in it. I've been trying to try this place for over a year and I was finally able to go today for breakfast on Valentine's Day. I went around 10am there was only about 2 couples in front of me but within a few minutes there was a line behind me. There was plenty of seating which was perfect since it was a beautiful sunny morning. I wanted a design on my latte and the cashier was super lovely and helpful. She showed me on her phone all the Valentine's Day designs my husband and I could get. We picked vanilla lattes and told her to choose a design for us. She ended up surprising us with the cutest designs that brought a smile to our face. The food was really good and I believe it took about 10min from the time we sat down. We ordered a breakfast burrito, the breakfast plate with potatoes and bacon and the strawberry waffles for us to share. The gentleman who brought us the food was very polite and when we left he even thanked us for visiting the restaurant in Spanish which was a lovely touch since we speak Spanish as well and we love great customer service and employees who appreciate their guests. Very expensive food, not a good quality. Staff give you attitude if you ask for a replacement. We ordered a full meal with 4 freshly squeezed orange juices. They filled the cups with ice to the brim, the orange juice was less than half of the cup. Each cup cost $12!! We asked if they could remove the ice and fill it up with juice, but they refused, very rudely. The manager said it's the default and that we should keep that in mind the next time we order. Looking for a good brunch spot, I came across this place with the beautiful rainbow lattes and had to try it. My fiance and I got the stuffed french toast, breakfast burrito, and rainbow latte during our visit. Overall everything was pretty good! I enjoyed the orange marmalade that was added to the french toast and the fresh strawberries on top. The breakfast burrito was juicy and they had a fabulous salsa to go with it. The rainbow latte was gorgeous but tasted like a normal latte - it's more to visually enjoy and get your Instagram picture. The food was good, but the price ($50 for two people, including tip) was a bit high. You order your food at the counter inside and then you have the option of taking it to go or eating on the patio. The patio was a bit on the crowded side, even on a Monday morning, and you choose your own seat rather than being told where to sit. I felt there wasn't quite enough distance among the tables and would have preferred if the employees chose seats for the customers. I absolutely LOVE the set up of this place! The main seating area is outdoors and the vibe is unlike any other cafe I've been to. It looks like they converted what used to be a gas station/rest stop into a seating area with tables. Especially great when it's a nice day out. Seems like a great place service locals! You order inside in a small walk in area. The options are a bit limited but with enough choices to satisfy both savory and sweet cravings. I got the avocado toast and really appreciated the unique spin with arugala and the sauce drizzled on top. Overall, I have no complaints about this place. May 17th first guest to arrive. And only guest so It was not busy and the cashier already looked annoyed without a good morning greeting. It was our first time there we did look a little lost , she didn't offer a menu or suggest anything... we decided to sit on the little bar inside the cafe because it was too cold outside. As we were waiting, We went outside to use the restroom we did not see nor notice the outside had heaters. By the time our food was served 3 more guests had arrived and were sitting outside. As we were leaving we notice they had the HEATERS on for them!!! No one took the time to tell us they had heaters out of courtesy . The server knew we were cold.. We were also paying costumers they could have of given us more attention. Over all food was amazing the wood plate was cute , the coffee was good , but the a/c inside made our food cold real fast..
