We eloped in Brookings and decided we wanted to go to pizza, I know crazy after a wedding but it's what we wanted. We shouldn't have, they were very rude and snappy, like we're literally in wedding attire and the girl taking our order couldn't throw a simple smile at us. Oh well but it got worse when we were there sitting and eating, you just hear the kitchen staff start talking about "I've seen so many failed marriages" that's absolutely crazy of you guys.. If I could give zero stars I would. Went there on 7/2/24 for lunch. Salad bar was sub par and we had to ask for new lettuce since there was none. No one was paying attention to the buffet. The pizza was options were cheese, Hawaiian, and a meat pizza. The pizza had been picked through, clearly looked like it had sat out for over an hour, and there were less than 1/4 left from each pizza. Pieces left were mostly crust (they cut their pizza in squares). We ate salad and waited about an hour for them to rotate the pizzas but they never did. After 2 hours they brought one pizza out which was gone in 10 minutes. I will never go here again. This place is horrible. read more

Got there just after opening, no greeting from staff cashier or eye contact. Nothing at all until we asked questions. Salad bar looked like leftover from day before, 1 pizza came out to buffet 20 min after we ordered. Still had to ask staff for salad dressings. Service very slow even tho seemed like like plenty of staff. They didn't seem to know how to open or provide basic services. I personally don't like pizza, so I got a club sandwich & it was good! I thought it was pretty tasty and came with lays chips! My parents got the Margarita Pizza and it was cut super weird but pretty good, according to them. My mom said she liked the crust and my dad said it was good! Wasn't greasy! The service is good, just some young people behind the counter. Your food takes a while to come out, probably cause they're so busy. It is VERY loud in the restaurant. Kids running around like it's chucky cheese & one lady was like yelling in their microphone for the numbers. Another gentleman was talking normal and we could hear numbers just fine. If I could give 0 stars I would, we ordered separately than half of my group (keep in mind we paid cash) they waited a long time to get their food so we thought ours would be out shortly after, after 40 minutes of waiting we go up to ask, the order was lost. They said they would make our food and it wouldn't take long. It took a while to get our pizza we finally do but they had messed up one of the pizzas we asked for a refund and he asked for our order number pushed a few buttons and said we were refunded, but as you may remember we payed cash so pushing buttons wont do anything, we do end up getting our money back. Stopped in today for a quick lunch. So disappointed. I have been told the sandwiches were amazing. So we decided to have sandwiches for lunch. I ordered the Shady Oaks Special. $11 sandwich. Nothing special about it. It was basically mustard on bread with a single thin slice of pastrami. About a quarter of the sandwich had no meat at all. I do not recommend the sandwiches Hello denise, Cody Miller here, i was not able to respond on your post so i am writing you a message regarding that sandwich. I have researched that sandwich, and went back and looked at what happened, the (new) employee pulled a half roll of pastrami out, from a half sandwich order that was before yours. Im sorry that slipped through the cracks. We pride ourselves in our consistency and how are sandwiches have always looked and tasted. This one slipped through. i have comped that sandwich off of your credit card. and you should see the difference within 24 to 48 hours. Just going forward i would ask that you ask to talk to us! We are a small family ran business and even the thought of the word spit makes me want to fire people. You shouldnt be afraid of the places you choose to do business with, and i strive to be the best in the business. The problem is that i cannot personally oversee every single item. I love this place. Great pizza. We don't live in Brookings but visit often. We were married in Azalea park and had our reception at wild river. They did a great job with variety of pizzas for our group of 20ish. They have great ranch. My favorite is the meat lovers. They cut their pizza in small squares which is different but good. read more

We are here in town for just a few nights and wanted some comfort food. So tonight we ordered a BLT pizza which has always been one of our favorites. Not only did they have quick service when we picked up our food tonight, but this pizza is THE BEST BLT pizza I've ever had hands down! I've had BLT pizzas in Ohio, Nevada, and South Lake Tahoe and I've never had one like this. The bacon on it is fresh and crispy, and the ratio of all the ingredients on top is perfection! It's one of the best pizza's we've ever had. The ingredients we really good and we ate everything including the little pieces that dropped on the pan. They cut them in bite size pieces.
