We chose to get 3 orders of the crispy fried wings with sauce (9 pieces), because we wanted to try three different sauces. The crispy batter for all of the wings stayed quite crispy, even though the wings were tossed in sauce. My favorite one was the signature sauce (yangnyeom) which was the perfect mixture of sweet, tangy, and savory flavors. It has a slight kick to it from the gochujang. My second favorite was the honey soy, and the third was the cheese flavor. They were all tasty though! We also got the tteokbokki which is chewy rice cakes with fish cakes. It was good, and a pretty decent size for $16. The only dish I wouldn't get again is the corn cheese because it was a bit overcooked. Overall, this is an amazing choice for Korean fried chicken in SD, and I'd definitely return.

I tried the chicken wings 5 piece they came out nice and crispy, nothing crazy, just a solid crunch on the outside and juicy inside. If you like them extra crispy you can ask, but they were already on point. The orange sauce stood out too, not sure what it's called but I'd definitely get that again. Original is what I order Overall, good experience. I'd come back and try more menu items for sure. Located in the heart of San Diego's Convoy District, this place will not disappoint! The chicken is served to order, each piece shatteringly crisp, with a golden-brown crust and deeply flavorful! Crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside (it doesn't get any better than that). For starters, we ordered the fried dumplings, (1) order of Asian sesame seed wings, (1) order of chili oil wings, (1) order of Cajun rub tenders and (1) order of Seoul spicy tenders. The vibe is relaxed with a spacious interior and outside patio, it's the perfect spot for a family or friends gathering. The staff are quick and efficient. Making excellent recommendations for first timer's! Prices are reasonable. And they have a great menu selection! Definitely come check them out!

The restaurant was lively and loud, great for large parties as well. We decided to go with the meal deal and try it out. For $40 we picked 6 wings + 3 drums, popcorn shrimp and tteokbokki. I have to say that the meal deal was a lot of food for two people. But the food was great so nothing to complain about. I ordered the boneless garlic soy chicken, cucumber salad and the shrimp shumai. Everything was okay, edible. I typically really love Korean fried Chicken and if this was my first experience I probably would never try it again. It was totally edible. It was just not delicious. The fried chicken - soy garlic flavor. Not spectacular. Kind of low on flavor. No salt. Not spicy at all. Cucumber salad - low on flavor high on liquid/ water. Not delicious. Not spicy at all. Not like delicious cucumber salad I've had other places. shrimp shumai - very low on flavor, even the spicy mayo not spicy at all, kind of low in flavor. I don't know. I was very underwhelmed with this place so much so that I had to write a review saying how underwhelmed I was.

The staff was very gracious in the face of the huge crowd and a mountain of orders. The location is spacious with plenty of room to line up and tables to sit and eat or wait on orders. The parking was easy too which was a bonus. For food we got two orders of the big greedy with yams, greens, baked beans and the new mushroom rice. I will stress that everything was excellent and we would get this exact order again, but a few particular standouts were 1) Fried Catfish. Our favorite protein by far. It was deliciously seasoned, perfectly fried, and succulently tender, 2) Candied Yams. They were sweet, tender and nicely balanced, 3) Mushroom Parmesan Rice. We only tried this because so many of the other sides were sold out and man are we glad we did. Our family tore this side up! The mushroom parm gravy was smooth and creamy with large chunks of mushroom. Definitely a great addition to the sides list. Our family can't wait to go back and try more of what CBB has to offer. So glad they've got a brick and mortar restaurant now!

The reason why I'm giving it a 2 star because the food was salty. I ordered the two protein combo, catfish fillet, 3 wings, and two sides (collard greens and rice and gravy). I only ate a quarter of the collard greens because it was extremely salty and the turkey was dry. Both the catfish and wings were also salty and the flavor was not to my liking. The rice wasn't fully cooked. Unfortunately, I won't be coming back. :(

The shrimp were huge, and the caramelized walnuts were broken up and sprinkled all over so you could taste it in every bite. The portions were alright--three dishes were enough for two people. The Orange Chicken felt like there was more dough than chicken. I wouldn't say the food blew my mind; it's just a step up from Panda Express, honestly. Service: 3.5/5 Our server was nice! The waitstaff made themselves available if you needed anything while dining. We made a reservation online and indicated it was for a special occasion, but nothing special was done. We didn't expect anything, really, but it doesn't make too much sense to have the option to mark our dinner as a special event on the reservation website. Atmosphere: 4.5/5 It was warm and dimly lit, which made the dinner feel very romantic. We really had dinner by candlelight. The music was a bit loud where we sat--the speaker was right above us. I would recommend this place for a (first) date night, an older family meal, or a place to hang out with friends. Final rating: 3.67/5 (rounding up to 4 on Yelp)

Well decorated as all of their establishments are. You order family style. We ordered the cucumber salad, noodles, and honey walnut shrimp. Service was alright. The food was really really salty. But aside from that, good portions! Definitely enough for 3 people and then some. Bill came out to $55 which is a bit more than other Chinese food places you can visit in SD for lower quality. I'd visit again but nothing to write home about.

My party and I decided to dine in and ordered the family special, which included 24 wings, veggies, and breadsticks, and we added fries on the side. One thing I really liked was the option to choose up to three wing flavors. We decided on mild buffalo and lemon pepper with extra seasoning. While placing the order, I made it very clear that I wanted extra lemon pepper seasoning but did not want the wings overly drenched in the butter/oil base. The cashier acknowledged me, but I noticed she never entered the request into the register, which honestly became my first red flag. I tried to give the benefit of the doubt and assumed maybe she would communicate it directly to the kitchen... unfortunately, that didn't happen. After paying upfront and taking our number to sit down, it seemed like there had been a rush before we arrived because several tables still needed to be wiped down. I had to request for our table to be cleaned, which normally wouldn't bother me, but it was disappointing seeing one employee standing around while another staff member was clearly overwhelmed handling the register, bagging to-go orders, and assisting customers. When our food finally arrived, the mild buffalo wings were delicious, the fries were hot and fresh, and the veggies were crisp. No complaints there at all. However, the lemon pepper wings were exactly what I feared they would be -- sitting in an excessive amount of oily butter base. I explained again to who appeared to be the manager that I had specifically requested extra seasoning without all the excess oil. Her solution was to bring extra seasoning on the side and suggest that next time I order it that way from the beginning. But the issue wasn't the seasoning itself -- it was the preparation. Once the wings are swimming in oil frying, coated lightly and dried, sprinkling extra seasoning on afterward doesn't really help because it doesn't stick the same way. It just throws the whole experience off seeing your food swimming in visible oil. I ended up having to remove the wings from the excess buttered oil myself, request another plate, and re-coat them at the table. At that point, it felt like I was finishing the prep work that should've already been done in the kitchen. Overall, I'd give this establishment about 3.5 stars. There's definitely room for improvement when it comes to lobby cleanliness, teamwork during busy periods, order accuracy, and food prep consistency. This experience wasn't terrible, but it also wasn't the best. I'd still recommend this location because franchises can vary depending on management and staff, and the food itself was fresh and made to order. If I'm ever back in the area craving wings, I'd probably do takeout next time and make extra sure my lemon pepper wings aren't overloaded with oil.

The wings were overcooked, dry to the bone, and tasted like they had been sitting out before being served. Charging $23 for 10 wings for food in that condition is ridiculous. If you're going to charge that much, at least serve wings that are fresh and actually enjoyable to eat.
