I guess she assumed I had gel on my toenails? I paid for the pamper me pedi, but it felt very basic. The pedicure itself was sloppy. My daughter's pedicure was good. However her manicure chipped in a day. I get that regular polish chips much more quickly than gel, but if they only want to work with gel polish, then they shouldn't offer regular polish. I was disappointed in the end. It felt like we were being penalized for not getting gel. Even though we had an appointment, I felt like we were in the way. I'm so sad, I really thought I had found my nail shop.

Typically, my mani and pedi are done simultaneously by two different ladies. However, I noticed that only one lady was working on me while 4 others just paced around and chatted with each other. At first I thought they might have other clients with appointments coming in soon, but nearly an hour passed and they were still not attending other customers. What could have been a 40 minute visit took twice as long. $65 also felt excessive for regular polish, I've gotten gel polish for that amount at other salons. Customer service was also meh - she seemed annoyed when I asked to swap out the color after testing it on one nail and didn't recommend any additional services like at other salons. What was even more frustrating was that by the evening three of my nails were already chipped! Will not be returning, don't recommend!

This new shop is beautiful, clean, peaceful and friendly! Their prices are reasonable and the work is done by very experienced staff! I have had care with Amy (owner) and Kim - both do great work. There are other nail technicians there but I haven't had them yet. Their location is easy to get to and has plenty of parking. They are near SDSU between 67th and 68th St on El Cajon Blvd. They are diligent in maintaining healthy practices in line with the rules established by the government - I felt very safe here. read more

I had an amazing experience at The Wilder Nail Salon with Song! From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed and at ease. Song is incredibly skilled and attentive to detail. I was in a hurry to get a mani/pedi and they had availability so I stopped by (first time). Not…read moreonly was I waiting for someone to attend me for a while, but one of the techs kept yelling for one of the other techs in the back to finish up their lunch. While I was getting my French manicure, the nail tech asked if the thickness was okay. I asked for thinner and she was visibly annoyed. She asked me again if it was okay, and I said thinner. She was super annoyed, when she asked again, I just let it go. But they were so uneven and thick. Not only that but the rest of them were on their phones and one of them even too a nap on the massage chair. I also noticed they charged me more than what was listed on their service menu. When they left me to dry my nails, Nobody checked up on me for at least 30 mins. I had to ask if I could go. Never again. They did a carelessly HORRIBLE job and were unprofessional and inattentive.
