Was in town for the weekend and came here with a group. Beautiful space - I want to copy the interior decor for my house. Everything we ordered was great. I got the mushroom melt -which was tasty and sizable. Our waitress was attentive and gave us good recs.
I've had this place on my list for awhile and finally took myself out on a little solo dinner date. Unfortunately, it just didn't hit the mark for me. The aesthetic of the restaurant is very cute. My waiter was nice as well. I ordered the Old Dog, New Tricks cocktail to start - good but weak and mostly ice. I got the roasted oysters as well but didn't like the flavor at all and found them to be quite salty. The main reason I'd been wanting to come here was for the Mafaldine Alla Vodka which I ordered alongside the Kimono Racer cocktail. Boy, what an odd cocktail, wasn't for me at all but I did know it was a risky choice, so that's on me. The pasta fell so flat - lacking in crab and I found pieces of shell. The sauce was too sweet. Just quite a boring dish. Not sure if I just hit it on a bad night as this place seems to have generally good reviews but I unfortunately won't be returning.
Enjoyed Wilder's Center City District $20.00 2-course lunch menu for Aug 2026 with friends up on the skylit second floor dining room. Service was definitely busier (perhaps because of the promo), but still great!
We came here for happy hour before watching a FIFA game, and it was a great choice! The happy hour menu had excellent options, and everything we tried was delicious. The service was fast, friendly, and attentive throughout our visit. The pizza was incredible, and the restaurant itself is beautiful with great décor and a welcoming atmosphere. We were staying at an Airbnb in Rittenhouse Square, so we didn't have to worry about parking. we simply enjoyed the short walk to the restaurant. We'd definitely come back!
We came with a party of 5 and were seated on the first floor. The atmosphere is great, although first floor is a bit draft from the door being opened. -roasted oysters, plump and juicy -hamachi crudo, one of my faves, fresh and light -Malfadine sauce could have been more flavorful -margarita and lemon ricotta pizzas were both good -desserts were all really good, especially the olive oil cake -branzino, great cook, could've used a bit more sauce Service was great and they gave us the sorbet on the house!
The food was wonderful, service was great, and the best part was how many non alcoholic cocktail options they had. The entrees were great, particularly the hot chicken. Another highlight was the rolls with the lemon butter.
Yummy and amazing happy hour!! Drinks were so yummy and the food is definitely worth it. Good deals and great ambiance! Love this place!
This restaurant is 2 floors and so beautiful! It's modern with nice splashes of color and it was such a vibe. Service was fantastic. This was a great spot for a girl's dinner. It's casual but you won't be out of place if you dress up. For food, we started with the crispy calamari that came with a citrus frisee salad and was already sauced up. It was a unique style that I enjoyed and much lighter than other calamari dishes I've had. The petite plateau was perfect for sharing among the 4 of us. Everything was fresh and delicious while being presented so beautifully. The cocktails I had were good. They were different from ones I typically order which I thought was fun to experiment with new flavors to see what I like. One had a pickle garnish and the other was with a non-smoky mezcal. For entrees, most of us got pasta which were all handmade and tasty. My favorite was the one with crab & vodka sauce. The cacio e Pepe & mushroom ones were also good. What stood out the most during the meal was dessert. We got the double chocolate mousse and that was one of the best chocolate mousses I've ever had! It was so gorgeous and topped with a sunflower seed praline & had tangy passionfruit sauce at the bottom which made for a flavor explosion. I was so impressed! The key lime panna cotta was also a work of art topped with candied sourdough that provided a nice crunch to the creamy texture of this dish. It was so yummy! I can't wait to go back again!
We went for Sunday brunch without a reservation. They didn't have any tables available but offered us seating at the bar or bench. We chose the bench, which was comfortable enough for one or two people. The service was excellent. Our waitress was patient and attentive. We ordered the Eggs Benedict and the Grilled Salmon Salad, and my friend had the Kombucha for drink. Both entrées were delicious; the salad was fresh, and the salmon was perfectly cooked. My friend liked her drink too. For dessert, we shared the pistachio and cherry tart and ordered Jade tea (one pot was enough for both of us). The tart was fantastic, with a pistachio custard base that was especially good. Overall, we were happy with our choices and the restaurant experience. Highly recommended!
Stopped at Wilder for a birthday dinner, so cute on the inside (and pretty easy to make a reservation). We enjoyed splitting the rolls and some pizza (and broccolini, not pictured). Everything was pretty good! Would stop by again (but I think I prefer their brunch!)
Enjoyed weekday lunch with a friend at Wilder. Incredible service and even better food! We shared the roasted oysters, branzino and Mafaldine (crab lobster). Would easily recommend all 3.
decent neighborhood spot for happy hour or a convenient bite! i've been to wilder numerous times over the years, mainly because i live less than 10 minutes away from it. it's fine. the food is decent, i would probably give it a 3/5 for dinner -- it's never my first choice but a choice out of convenience. the happy hour, however, is solid. i especially appreciate the dollar oyster special they have on wednesdays during the summer. you can't get oysters that cheap anywhere else in philly, such a steal! i do think that the restaurant is absolutely gorgeous. the decor is unmatched, and its modern, stylish, and quirky all at the same time. service is always amazing as well. i will definitely be back for the dollar oysters, and it's a bonus for dog parents that there is outdoor seating!
Had such a nice dinner here- service was excellent! The ambiance was fantastic and the food was impeccable! We had hamachi bites which was small but tasty and beautifully presented! The beet salad was so fresh and delish. Calamari was perfectly fried light and crispy. I did not have the honey rolls but everyone was raving about it as the best app. I had the Calabrian hot chicken which was deep fried- tasty and spicy and generous portion- everyone liked all the dishes - I had the chocolate mousse dessert which was really really delicious !
Menu was spring 2022 Love this spot -- food, ambiance and service on point! Highlights: - squash blossom pizza: might be seasonal but flavors were spot on and worked really well tougher - pull apart rolls: warm, soft and just yummy, esp with the butter, shareable starter - Hudson valley foie gras parfait spread: our version had a cherry compote that came with it which was so good, helped balance the fattiness of foie gras Cocktails are all solid too! When I saw Wilder pop up, I knew it would be my next spot to go to to try. The food was pretty good. My wife and I decided to go here before heading to the Franklin Institute. We sat at the bar where we were greeted by friendly bar staff. Beets and burrata - although delicious, this dish was so tiny, especially for the price. I felt like I barely received any beets at all. I'm obsessed with beets, but don't think I would reorder this dish unless they add more. Roasted oysters - I do prefer raw oysters, but glad I tried these as they're quite different from anything I have tried before. The breading they used in it was flavorful and they kept the oysters whole so it was nice to know there was an oyster still in there Bucatini Nero- squid ink pasta was amazing. The texture of the pasta was perfect. I don't even know how to quite describe it. Perfect al dente with chewiness to it. Flavoring was wonderful and they gave plenty of squid with it too. Drinks - I don't remember the names. I just remember my wife's drink was better so we switched. Overall- it's surely a spot to check out again. I want to try the grilled fish next. read more

Both times I've eaten here, the food has been great. The sweet and spicy pizza was delicious and the crust was soft and crunchy at the same time. My favorite pasta dish is the bucatini Nero-a delicious squid ink pasta with calamari and nduja. Roasted oysters were also very good - but a bit spicy. The panna cotta is pretty good but is topped with a rhubarb flavored shaved ice. I give 4 stars because of the service. The first time i visited, we made a reservation and still had to wait almost 30 minutes for a table and the hostesses weren't that welcoming and friendly. When we were finally seated, it took another 20 minutes for someone to acknowledge us and bring us water. It took so long that the owner, i believe her name is Nicole, came by to check on us and served us a bit herself. The second time i visited, Tuesday this week, the hostess was literally about to have a meltdown because two patrons ignored her and went to sit down. She was on the verge of tears and was huffing and puffing and it made me uncomfortable. I'd eat here again but not late night or you risk never getting a table or eating lol. read more

Quite possibly my favorite Cesar salad in the city. I adored the salmon cannoli and fries as well. Can't wait to come back and try more. Great wine, service, and decor! Can't go wrong with Wilder. I love it here!! read more

This was my second time at Wilder but first time having food. Sat at the bar area lounge seating area both times (not the leopard print bar seats). Great ambiance and cocktails are splendid (had the gin ones). Standout was the crab lump pasta, mafaldine alla vodka (the morsels of crab were sweet and worked so well w/ the vodka sauce) and the simple seasonal greens salad. Unfortunately, my partner's pork sausage rigatoni alla norcina came out cold. It seems like his dish was fired the same time as our salads and sat there for 45 mins before it was brought to us. My dish came out piping hot though. I also wasn't a fan of the chicories salad (I feel like it could be balanced out a bit; too bitter). Service could use some work too. There were a few times that we wanted to order another drink or note that the pasta was cold but we got tired of waiting/were hungry and gave up. I understand it's a newer place that they are working out kinks. Overall would recommend and go back with hopes that the service will be better. Kelcie and Deion were so friendly as I sat at the bar all by myself. I'm a huge solo date person so it doesn't bother me but I wouldn't recommend a more comfortable restaurant bar to go to all by yourself. They were extremely friendly and funny while fulfilling the orders of a busy RESTAURANT. Not to mention the ambience of WILDER is beautiful even AFTER the sign outside. And, if I haven't convinced you yet look at this DELICIOUS meal! read more

This place lives up to the hype! My friend & I got the rolls, artichoke & yukon potato pizza, mafaldine pasta, and chocolate cremeaux. Everything was delicious! Our only minor complaint was that the chocolate cremeaux was a bit salty. I can't wait to come back here and try more items on the menu. The vibes are great and the entire staff was lovely. read more

Visited Wilder for lunch for the first time recently to celebrate my birthday. Great interior atmosphere, quick service and delicious entree options. The space was quite empty when we arrived, but completely filled + alive by the time lunch hit. Locals seem to love Wilder, I think you would too! read more

Let just start with my fave food from our dinner for our ladies night. We ordered mostly seafood because we love seafood obviously. I love their oysters. I don't know what kind of spices they use but the oyster was spicy and I loved it. My second fave was I believe it was called ink squid pasta - this one was very good too. We ordered steak too it was delicious. The calamari was good too. The crab pasta was just okay, the pizza - not big fan of it . The bread was the least food I liked. For desserts, we ordered donuts and sorbets, they were so so. Service was great . Places, the decorations and atmosphere were nice. Would I be back again? Of course I would !! Especially for the oyster, steak and squid ink pasta read more

New restaurant that just opened up in CC. Food was delicious. Space is really nice, and interior is well decorated. Service is really good. We did family Style and got the oytsers, pizza, lamb ragu pasta and lobster risotto. All dishes were great. For dessert, we tried the room 4 dessert, which I thought was just ok. It was essentially 4 small pieces of candy with cotton candy on top. read more

truly one of my favorite meals i've had in a while! first off, wilder is such a cool space with a great ambiance. i was dining alone and i was entertained just looking around and people watching everyone around me. i came for the restaurant week menu, and was impressed with everything i got! the pear and burrata was topped with greens and pumpkin seeds, which really elevated a burrata plate as a starter. the squash cappelletti was flavorful and filling, and the chocolate cremeux was a chocolate lovers dream- possibly the best dessert i've had at a restaurant in recent memory! a fantastic meal with fantastic service- id def rec for a date night, nice dinner with friends, or even a solo date. i can't wait to return!! read more

First of all, I loved the vibe of the restaurant and the friendliness of the staff. All the food on the menu sounded so yummy that I wished I could try them all but I opted for the "Garlicky Clam Pie" since it was a unique pizza that I would not typically get the option to try elsewhere. The pizza was, in fact, very garlicky (so yum) and the clams were nicely dispersed with no overpowering seafood taste. Wish I could come again for a second serving :) read more
Wilder is a great experience. The decor and ambience was just perfect. Every inch of the place caught my gaze, from the beautiful wall upholstery to the abundance of plant life. I had the raw oysters to start, seasonal greens, and topped the meal with the Spanish octopus and the Mafaldine Alla Vodka. The highlight was definitely the vodka pasta, which is a feat in itself considering I am lactose intolerant and have a higher standard for cream-based dishes. The chunks of Crab meat in the pasta are making mouth water from the memory. I also had a mezcal based drink to start, and topped the meal with a coffee infused whiskey drink. Both were great, and my friend liked it so much, he even asked for the mezcal drink recipe. My only reservation with the experience was that I had a reservation, yet still had to wait 20 minutes for a table. Though I think, given that it's a new place, with time they'll get their scheduling down. They also had a cool event room on top, where I would love to host an event in the future. read more

Very subtle with the tea and thyme Inclinations Towards Alchemy: ok, but light Old Fashioned: good Foie gras: nice presentation and balance of textures, but the foie was overpowered by the abundance of cherry jelly. Met up with friend of mine for happy hour/dinner here about 3 weeks ago! It was gorgeous inside! If you are a fan of ambiance, definitely check out Wilder. They have beautiful velvet covered, plush seating and the overall decor is simply lovely. Social media worthy, if that's your thing! They have two floors for seating and fully stocked bars with many top shelf selections. The happy hour menu had some great selections for small bites; not too much for the drinks - they only offer two cocktails. The drinks were potent and worth the price. We ordered their famous Pull Apart rolls and Roasted Chesapeake Oysters to share. They were absolutely delicious! I would come here just for the rolls, that's how soft and buttery they were! I ordered the Afternoon Delight cocktail and paired it with the Mafaldine alla Vodka pasta dish. Chef's kiss! I'll definitely be back again! read more

We came to celebrate a graduation and everything was perfect. The atmosphere is chic and lively, and the service was great; our waiter was super attentive. The food really wow'd us as well. seasonal greens salad: 5/5 (basic but light, great size) sweet n spicy pizza: 5/5 (super thin and crispy crust, balanced toppings) cascarecce pasta: 5/5 (rich and interesting, a standout in my opinion!) I will definitely be coming back, especially for a date or special occasion!! (***I saw in earlier reviews that they had a few small improvements to make since opening and while I didn't visit before, I do believe that they have, as I had zero issues/complaints!***) read more

Lovely place got tucked in the alleyway. The theme is hipster wild life. I was the only one sitting in the outdoor section on this fine day. Was just a pit stop getting a drink, and tasting the oysters. Both were with great quality. My server was sweet.. so that I caught a bee lol highly recommended read more

Drinks were good, the oysters were just ok, the smoked white fish appetizer not great. I prefer my smoked fish cold. The service was great. I sat at the bar since I was dining alone and the bartenders and customers were sweet and knowledgeable. I didn't love the oysters, I'm still trying to find oysters that beat LMNO's. The oysters and that amazing solid has me in a chokehold. Anyhow, the octopus was pretty good. It was tender and had an interesting ink aoli that wasn't bad. read more
