I came here for their happy hour and was not too impressed. The mussels were a bit off; there was a pile of sausage and random stuff in the broth. It looked like slop. The burrata was good. The bread that came with the mussels was not as good as the bread served with the burrata. The Caesar salad was terrible. It had this weird aftertaste. Came to Wilder to have a Galentines brunch with my gorgeous friends. It was our first time. We had reservations for 12:15. Parking is hard in this area so be sure to come a bit earlier. The restaurant wasn't packed the day/ time we went. We were seated outside. Our server was friendly and food came out very fast. As for the food.The portion for the Yuca fries was quite small. The sangria we ordered had waaaaay too much ice. My favorite was the Huevos Rancheros. Very light and delicious, yet filling. Wilder, it was a treat to dine with you! Stopped by on a mellow Sunday evening for a few plates and drinks to share. We were seated right away and had our own corner of the restaurant. Dishes below, starting with the favorite first. - Brussel sprouts and calamari - super flavorful, crispy and delicious. Such a great combo I've never had before. The sauce is some sort of basil aioli and it's divine. - Braised short ribs and grits - also delicious. Grits were super creamy. Surprisingly my favorite part of this was the roasted carrots. YUM. - Bone marrow - comes with one bone for $18. You can add another bone for $10. - Not pictured, Patatas bravas - SUPER crispy, crunchy potatoes that came with a white aioli. 3.5 bumped down. What started out as a great meal with great service ended with a let down of a missing waiter and just so so desserts (what a waste of my sugar indulgence). Came here for restaurant week and got the tasting menu with friends so was able to try most items. Appetizers were great! Surprisingly for a meat eater like me the cauliflower and brussel sprouts were the highlights. For entrees got two kinds of mussels and beef pasta. Mussels were perfectly cooked, plump and large. Dessert was a Greek yogurt cheesecake and a chocolate cake. The chocolate cake was disappointing and I'm not sure if it should have been served cold or warm but there was a large chunk of hard chocolate in the middle that would have been perfect if oozing surrounded by warm cake. Between entrees and desserts is when things went weird. Our waiter disappeared (we didn't even see him walking around anywhere) and we couldn't get anyone's attention for quite a bit of time. The $5 brunch beverages (mimosas and froze) are good and they are happy to keep them coming until noon on the weekends. I was not impressed by the breakfast burrito, it was bland and did not come with much sauce or anything to provide flavor. Swung by for the first time last night after wanting to check Wilder out for a while, and unfortunately I won't be back. :( - It is a bit confusing imo that you can order/pay through the website accessed via the QR code on the table OR via the waitstaff (who didn't seem to have a preference/guidance about which method to use). Wilder should also think about looking into a different mobile ordering platform that allows diners to order multiple dishes and course their meal prior to 'check out'-- I was actually planning on trying more than one item, but since the mobile ordering system forced me to check out and tip after ordering one dish, I decided to dip out instead rather than order anything else. - I sat outdoors on the Fillmore side at a two-top (closest to the door)--heads up to management that whatever cleaning solution is used to clean the tables or that area leaves a suuuper strong chemical smell that was pretty hard to ignore. Alternatively maybe it was a burning smell coming from the long neon orange extension cord snaked around the side of the table(?)--I honestly am not sure, but it's def worth looking into. - Bone Marrow ($18)-- Cute presentation and everything, but sadly it was served without any silverware and after unsuccessfully trying to flag down my server for several minutes (while, funnily enough, someone in management was standing at the table right next to me discussing Wilder's popularity with a few friends), I was finally able to ask a different member of the wait staff for cutlery. By the time I was able to try the bone marrow it was pretty cold, so it wasn't for me :-/ - There are zero non-alcoholic drinks on the mobile ordering menu, so I had to open a separate tab with my server just to order a beverage (an Arnold Palmer that was randomly almost $7). When I wanted to leave in light of the cold bone marrow/chemical smell at the table, I had to wait a while in order to flag my server down just so I could pay for the pricey Arnold Palmer. Leaving 4 stars bc I'm about good vibes on Yelp/in life, and my primary reason for leaving reviews on here is to support local businesses. This wildlife-themed restaurant and bar in Pac Heights has a pretty good American brunch and lunch menu. I got the smoked brisket with eggs and it was yummy, although quite pricey and the potatoes that came with it weren't good at all. They were tough on the outside without being crispy, and not soft on the inside, giving them a weird stale texture. The best thing we tried was the mac n cheese side which came in a skillet, which I'd recommend. We wanted to try the frosé but their slush machine was broken so we ended up getting mango and strawberry mimosas, which the waiter put in gummy bear glasses that the frosé would've come in just for the fun vibes. read more

Came for dinner with friends and had a great time! We made a reservation, but it wasn't too packed for a Friday night. We ordered the Calamari and Brussels Sprouts and Potato Skins to start and I ordered the ribeye as my main. The Calamari and Brussels Sprouts were an interesting combo and I liked the texture of the grilled squid. Potato Skins had lots of bacon, but nothing really out of the ordinary. The steak was cooked well and the chimichurri sauce on top was a nice, fresh compliment to the steak. Pricing was not bad for a steak of that size ($32). For drinks, we ordered the Super Smash Bros, which was great for a group and tasted nice and fresh! Service was very attentive and checked on us often. The restaurant does convert to a bar later in the night, so keep that in mind if you're planning to have a late dinner on the weekend. The lights got gradually dimmer as we ate. read more

Parking - The marina is always a challenging area because it's all street parking. We were able to find spots somewhat close ( 2-3 blocks away). Drinks - we ordered beers, beers on tap, and margaritas. Everything was great! 5/5 Food - we had a lot of variation for our huge party. We started with the oysters ( we got 3 dozen) and it was happy hour! We also had the wings and bruschetta. For our main dishes, we had the burger (was so big and tasty) with fries, lobster Mac and cheese, braised ribs, chicken fajitas, and the curry. Our favorites was the burger and braised ribs! 4/5 Service - our server was good! She took our orders quick and the food came out shortly after. The only feedback is to have someone clear our table more often since the tables were so small, we could barely fit everything on there. Luckily there was a ledge we could place our empty plates on. Cute sit down restaurant with solid American food that isn't too expensive! Later in the evening the restaurant turns more into bar-vibes so it does get very loud - go early if you want a quieter meal. The sangria pitchers and delicious and not too sweet. The potato appetizer was delicious and crispy. The pork chop was super tender, and the applesauce was perfectly sweet and flavorful with buttery broccolini on the side. Went there for restaurant week and was pleasantly surprised. Portions were sizable for SF standards. Burger was solid and had a double patty. Brussels sprouts were doused in a tasty sauce although the calamari was a bit over done and too chewy. Bolognese was a bit sweet for my taste but portion was again generous with lots of meat in the sauce, another pleasant surprise. The chocolate cake was delicious and again a generous size. We ordered a pitcher of Aperol spritz that we thought would serve at least 1 full glass for the 5 of us but unfortunately it did not... So so! Drinks were decent. Road Runner was good but the Watermelon Marg was too sweet. The food was also just decent. The fries were probably the best thing we had LOL. They were very thin and crispy which is how I like my fries! Paella, calamari and Brussels sprouts, tuna poke, and patatas bravas were all okay. Their menu seems too varied for with foods from different cultures that they can't seem to nail. Possibly would be better if they dialed in the cuisine a bit and focused on one thing.. Nice interior though. Lots of seating and seemed pretty busy for late dinner transitioning into bar hours. I recommend staying away from the potato skins - and maybe sticking to the more generic appz. (Fries etc) as the food falls short on the execution and skills front. Everything about my food at this establishment was super BASIC. It wasn't exactly horrible, but it's definitely not a place I'll return to. The froze drinks were adorable and tasted amazing but the food lacked in flavor and presentation. Came with a party of 8, wonderful seat, ambiance (although a bit loud), very very sticky floors and menus which was a bit of a turn off. I asked for minimal tater tots in the breakfast burrito, the thing was filled with them. It really lacked any sort of flavor especially after adding the small side of salsa. A defo pass for me. The Ceasar salad wrap was almost like they poured a bag of lettuce mix into a tortilla then added dark meat chicken. Very flavorless and nothing exciting. Both of my nieces ordered the French toast, some of the pieces were undercooked and mushy/eggy. The BLT sandwich could have had a bit more bacon and was extremely dry. I felt for a second I was at a diner the way the food tasted, looked and was presented. Service was decent, though our server could have been more attentive to our table. Came here with my friend for dinner happy hour. The place is so cute with so many photo ops but dont be fooled by that, because the food was a giant dissapoimtment. We shared a pretty parrot which was probably the best out of the foods we tried. It was a refreshing punch with oranges and strawberries yum! Tuna poke - was decent but was not portioned for the $20 price tag :( Wings - we shared the black pepper but somehow it tasted unseasoned. I was really dissapointed with how dry it was almost like it was over cooked? Cajun veg curry - the curry sauce itself was okay but the flavors did not necessarily mix well. It was $17, the price of a full meal for half the food. The service was super slow and we had to cancel a rice because it came 20 minutes after we already finished our food. The wait to be seated wasn't very long when we went on a sunday at 5pm, but the food definitely took a while. Wait staff was a little grumpy but I get it. Will not be coming back :( read more

We hosted our wedding party at Wilder. We booked a private space and the team took such good care of us. They were so nice and accommodating of our requests and helped us customize our dinner & drinks menu. The portion sizes were great, the drinks super delicious and they got us free champagne with our pictures on the bottle which was so sweet!
