We hosted our wedding party at Wilder. We booked a private space and the team took such good care of us. They were so nice and accommodating of our requests and helped us customize our dinner & drinks menu. The portion sizes were great, the drinks super delicious and they got us free champagne with our pictures on the bottle which was so sweet! A little spot in the Marina. Nothing really stands out for me. It feels like a BJ's , one of those chain American , mildly classier than an Applebee's , dinner spot. The food was ok, nothing phenomenal. Service was mediocre. A hint of pretentiousness in the place, but that's the Marina for ya. It's a good spot to get quick bites and drinks with friends I suppose. I got the wilder burger, it tasted pretty good. Buddy got the same but with a gin and tonic. Total bill was $75 I'm not a penny pincher but there are definitely better places to spend the money imo. Decent brunch spot in the Marina if you mostly want to drink. On weekends, they have a $5 mimosa and slushee special from 11am-1pm. They have different mimosa flavors like strawberry, mango and peach. The slushee is a frosé that comes in a cute bear cup and gummy bears. They also have a pina colada slushee flavor that isn't part of the special. The food was average at best and way overpriced. The Smoked Brisket Hash was so bland and I had to drown it in Tapatio. We came here for lunch but they only had the breakfast/brunch menu. Staff was friendly but service was pretty slow. The place had a lot of empty seats but even then it took them 10 minutes for them to take our order. I ordered the smoked brisket grilled cheese sandwich. I didn't like the meat to cheese ratio, too much meat in my opinion. Especially because the brisket was slightly dry. Girlfriend got the smoked brisket hash. It was very average and felt like it was missing something. We asked for pico de gallo and hot sauce and it improved the dish. I've been working in the Marina district for over 10 years and it's about time something exciting happened on this corner! Needless to say we frequent this establishment quite often. Don't understand positive reviews, so suspect they might be purchased. Our server was nice but this place does not have its act together at all. One person in our party was served 10 minutes before others, and since his food was cold he asked for it to be microwaved--no apology from the staff. Someone got coffee with milk, and didn't get the milk until his coffee was lukewarm (unclear why the milk took so long, as it wasn't heated). Someone got tea and was presented with three options of random herbal teas, mostly hibiscus for some reason. All this would be more acceptable if not for the shameless overpricing. The food was okay. With our oysters, I ordered a dirty martini which was perfectly made; my friend ordered their version of an espresso martini. Two drinks in, we are ready for dinner which consisted of the pork chop (skipped the mash and replaced with sauteed veggies for no additional cost) and my friend ordered the ribeye. Both entrees were tasty and boasted a hearty serving. The ribeye was a little on the thin side and cooked well although she requested medium, but it was tasty, nevertheless. For dessert we went with the Wilder Surprise which was basically an apple tart. Loved this place and would totally come back. The food and drinks are good, and service was excellent despite how busy they were. Linore was very attentive and checked in on us several times. Love the vibe here! Its atmosphere and decor truly did uplevel our night out experience, so would recommend this place for a date or a night out with friends.
