    Babka and toast
    Vanessa T.

This little eatery is inside Liberty Station. There's ample parking nearby and there was no wait at 9:30AM. I ordered the babka and an oat latte. The black sesame babka was very soft and you get a good taste of the seasame between the layers. Staff were kind and answered our questions about the food and drinks.

Super nice cafe with a great vibe! This cafe is located in Liberty Station which is a great place to meet up with friends and very walkable. The brown butter maple latte was on point and the barista was super cool. Definitely recommend!

Stopped by here at opening time to try their breakfast as on weekends it's been relatively busy. We started off with their miso Carmel latte and a cappuccino. The miso is apparently their most popular drink. Both were okay. I'm a cinnamon roll fan so we got that to start too and that was tasty! It was sweet and yummy. A solid choice. They have been having problems with their walk in fridge so some items on the menu weren't available. We ended up going with their egg sandwich (with bacon jam) and their simple breakfast (toast, eggs, bacon and potatoes). The clear winner was the bagel egg sandwich with bacon jam. That jam was insane! So tasty. Highly recommend. Their simple breakfast was okay but the potatoes were the star of that dish. All in all the food took a long time, the coffee was meh, and most of the food was solid but didn't blow our minds away. I think should we have waited in line on the weekend we would have been disappointed but as a weekday breakfast it was a solid choice but was still rather expensive. We sat inside (but there was a lot of seating outside). I recommend trying to sit outside as the bench inside isn't the most comfy. It's Liberty Station so there's plenty of parking lots or street parking (assume the street parking will be taken if it's the weekend).

    Mortadella and Prime Rib Sandwich
    John V.

Wait staff was great and the outdoor seating was in a semi-shaded area. The portions on the sandwich was hefty. Can definitely share if you're not super hungry. The mortadella prime rib sandwich I got had tons of flavor and packed a nice punch from the spread - which I don't remember what it was.

    Lox Bagel! Sophisticated and outstanding.

I love this place! A much needed delicatessen in San Diego! And it's in beautiful Liberty Station. They are only open for breakfast and lunch. We had some outstanding eggs, potatoes and bagels with lox. It's kind of hard to find because the sign doesn't say that it is a restaurant. They have an amazing bar with a fun rum selection. It's sophisticated and lovely inside. They also have a lovely little selection of bakery including a sesame Babka! So go without question! Would love for them to be busy enough to open again for dinner!

The decor is very trendy! Mid-century modern/west elm-ish. The miso latte was mild but delicious. Nothing shocking, and classically prepared. The mortadella sandwich on the other hand, sounded very appealing on the menu, but if I had seen a photo of it beforehand, I'm not sure I would've ordered it. I especially disliked the bread, however, my dear Bailey- see photo below, loved it. I was only able to eat half of the roughly 9"x9" sandwich. The cheese and the mortadella were tasty, but the thick bread drowned out all the flavors. I kept peeling away the thick bread to give to Bailey. She couldn't get enough of it, lol! I loved the locally made pottery used to serve the coffee and sandwich as well. Sadly, the PB store that sold the pottery has closed down. As with every restaurant in Pt Loma, I found the noise level due to the constant overhead planes to be excessive, even inside, since they leave their doors open. Cute spot if you're in the area, but not worth a special drive.

This was a lovely Mother's Day brunch and the curated menu was up our alley. I always have a yogurt bowl and fruit in the mornings and then something savory. The eggs were fluffy and the hollandaise on the Benny was creamy and yummy. We loved our mocktail and ice coffee too. It gets super busy so go quickly to get a table and service does take some time to come out with the food.

Wildflour offers a nice addition to ever so popular Liberty Station for casual breakfast and lunch fares. With a simple menu ranging from breakfast offerings (served 8am-12) and salads, sandwiches, etc. Started this visit with a Gin & Tonic which was refreshing with its grapefruit flavor. The olives small plate was a great appetizer but I ended up ordering bread to help tame the saltiness. For the main, ordered the Market Salad and added a side of grilled chicken. Great salad, full of flavor, dressed well and the toasted pepitas was a nice touch to add some crunch. Great setting for a nice breakfast and lunch with ample seating both indoor and outdoors. Service was great as we were seated promptly outside. Would definitely love to come back and perhaps try their breakfast offerings.

    Matcha Latte + Iced Americano
    Sylvia H.

Love this place! Everything was delicious and we can't wait to come back. After a short stroll around Liberty Station, we stopped at Wildflour for the first time for lunch. For drinks, we got an iced matcha latte and an iced americano. Super cute jars and garnishes in the drinks. Both were tasty and I love the pebble ice. We decided to try the sandwiches and ordered the Mortadella and the Prime Rib. We both ordered full size sandwiches and it was definitely a lot and enough to take home. The Mortadella had mortadella (haha), stracciatella, and pistachio cream on a focaccia. The Prime Rib came with delicious warm prime rib, provolone, and supposed to be horseradish cream. I don't like horseradish so I asked what could be subbed in instead. The guy at the counter recommended the chermoula aioli and that ended up being so tasty. Our favorite was the Prime Rib, it was so flavorful, warm, and delicious. The focaccia was soft on the inside but had a nice crust. Yum! For dessert, we got the banana pudding. Not sure if the middle was supposed to be almost frozenish but it was actually very nice and welcome. It actually made it taste even better. We sat outside and they had umbrellas for shade. It was perfect. The even have water bowls for the dogs. Totally recommend this spot and we'll be back for more.

Very nice place! Loved the vibe. Service is great. Quiet on a Friday night. My kinda place.

Loved trying out Wildflour's menu! Prime Rib Sandwich - The full was very big and I was able to split this with my boyfriend. There was a good amount of prime rib, the horseradish taste was very subtle and the focaccia light and fluffy Fried Cauliflower - This was a bit salty, but with a wedge of lemon, the saltiness subsided. This was a very shareable plate and paired well with our salad Kale Salad - So good, so light, so refreshing and zesty! Cinnamon Roll - Our absolute favorite thing. A very sizable pastry that you'll even be given a knife and fork to dig in Matcha Latte - Sourced locally from Peru! Honey Cinnamon Latte - Very tasty without being overly sweet!

The mortadella sandwich was fresh and good quality but could have used more tang or punch idk just something but I would still recommend trying it if you are interested. I would definitely come back here and try other menu items especially since it seems that the menu changes. Service was a little slow when we went, but everyone was very nice. It is loud when sitting outside because of the airport so I would recommend sitting inside if that bothers you. I'll be back for sure.

    Cookie, latte, and matcha latte

Nice, cute place for beverages and pastry snacks. They also serve some hot breakfast items that seemed pretty good! The patio is dog friendly, somewhat spacious and clean. Plenty of seating options inside as well. To order, there's a counter and your group seats themselves. It was a nice place to catch up with friends, just be cautious that the conversation may need to stop every now and then while a plane flies over (but that's the expected norm with locations at Liberty Station). I thought the latte was alright, not too sweet. My partner shared that he probably should've gotten the added sweetener for his matcha latte when the cashier had asked. The pastries were good and presented nicely.

My only complaint was that we didn't get to sit in the disco room--it looked so fun and was definitely one of the coolest parts of the restaurant. We skipped the cocktail menu and ordered pornstar martinis instead, and they were incredible. The passionfruit tasted fresh and natural, not overly sweet or artificial. For food, we shared the mozzarella sticks with caviar crème fraîche ($23), which came with a surprisingly generous portion of caviar. We also ordered the Caesar salad, which was a great size for sharing, and the Starlight Burger with a Wagyu patty and fries. Everything was delicious and exceeded our expectations. The service was just as impressive. Our server was attentive without being overbearing and checked in frequently to make sure we had everything we needed. Parking is a nightmare good luck finding parking within a mile of the restaurant. Pros: atmosphere, drinks, service Cons: food wasn't great for the price, restaurant was small and crowded, no parking Service: All of our servers were friendly and very accommodating. Gave us some knowledge on the menu and recommended cocktails based on our preference. I had spilled my drink and they were quick to make me another one. Food: I had intended to get the prime ribeye cap steak but they ran out for the night around 8pm. I shared the steak sampler which came with four different cuts of steak and 4 sauces. I ordered medium and it was cooked medium/medium rare which was fine with me, it also had a good sear, almost burnt though. Out of the four steaks, we only liked two based off flavor and tenderness. The other two were more tough and gamey. None of the sauces really stood out but the bordelaise and horseradish were good. For our sides we got fries, roasted broccoli, and the grilled wedge salad. Fries were average. The roasted broccoli had really good flavor, I expected the broccoli to be al dente but it was cooked to mush and drenched in sauce. The grilled wedge salad was decent, there was a slightly bitter taste to it. I know it says grilled wedge but the experience of biting into the salad and it being both hot and cold was not pleasant. Cocktails: I tried the Honey Ryder and New Wave. These were recommended as the more fruity/sweet cocktails. You can definitely taste the alcohol but it's only 2oz so it's not too strong. Ambience: 10/10 I got seated downstairs by the bar. Only thing about downstairs is that it's too dark to take photos unless you use flash. Overall, I agree with the other reviews saying to go just for drinks and appetizers. I would go again just to sit upstairs and get drinks and take pictures. We left unsatisfied and ended up getting in-n-out after.

Staff was also not very attentive to guests' needs, rather just going through the motions. For instance, they noted "standing room only" and that they would eventually seat our party of two. They walked us to an exact spot on the floor to stand and view the menu in the dark (we used our phone flashlights, but it wasn't easy while carrying our belongings too), and they instructed us not to order at the bar in this colorful but dimly lit tiki lounge. We essentially ordered from staff who took our order in the middle of the floor, then we had to hold our drinks, some that came with additional shot glasses, in full hands, as we were never seated. We did find a barrel to set our drinks on later, but their process and expectations for guests was just really weird and impractical. The theme and decor of the setting was lovely, with moments of a lightning and thunder effect that made the experience more immersive. But we were not impressed by the sticky menus and sticky floor, nor the lack of service and minimal help from staff while there. We made the most of our time at False Idol regardless of their shortcomings. The bombay sling and enigma de muerte were pretty decent in quality and flavor, so it's safe to say the drinks aren't the problem here. And though we probably won't return, it was cool for a one-time experience.
