A beautiful place!!! Was out visiting for Father's Day weekend and decided to try this spot for breakfast. As soon as you step in the door this place is dripping with theme and fine details. From the honeycomb ceilings, walls, floors this place is stunning. They also have an outdoor patio that is very pretty and on theme. The restrooms are even decorated with theme. The service here was excellent and friendly, we had Vanessa and she was awesome with recommendations and even offered us to try some flavored espresso shots. You have to place your order via QR code and pay after ordering. I ordered the avocado toast with lavender lemonade and my bf ordered a breakfast sandwich with sweet potato fries. The food was good. Right when you enter this bee-themed restaurant, you know you are in for a treat. The walls, ceiling, tables, light fixtures, and even the tiles in the bathroom are bee themed or honeycomb shaped. It really sets the mood. We were advised to seat ourselves and once we had a menu, we were to go to the counter to order and pay or order through their app. I do and don't like this approach. For brunch, it was totally fine. I ordered the Salted Honey Butter Latte, Cinnamon Swirl Pancakes, and the Honey Bacon. The latte is served with some crunchy bits on the top of the foam. I'm not a fan of chunks in my coffee so I didn't love that addition but I got past it and enjoyed the honey flavor of the latte. The pancakes were beautifully presented, with the swirl of cinnamon facing up. They were crispy on the exterior and soft on the inside. Exactly how I like my pancakes. You could taste the cinnamon without it being overbearing. The bacon was absolutely delicious - chef's kiss! Ok, will start with the food we ordered and shared the Banana Bread French toast. It was delicious but very much like a dessert. The slices were thick and the brown sugar crumbled on top makes it extremely sweet. It will fill you up. Now on to service. So far we didn't have the greatest experience showing up. We had 3 different waitresses ask us how many people and each one said they'd get us seating but they didn't and they'd sit other groups before us even as we stood there waiting. The place itself is cute. Nice ambiance and creative. Food took about 40mins to show up so we waited a while. My wife didn't even get her drink until we asked the waitresses about it. Not a fan of how you gotta order the food at all. Either you have to scan the QR code and order online or go up to the register to order. Definitely connect to the wifi if you are going to try to use the QR code because I had terrible service inside. Do not order the Chai Latte. It was extremely watered down. We even sent it back to have it remade and it was pretty much the same. The lemonades came out pretty well overall so that's a good option. Food was good but nothing special for the wait. It came out looking good overall. The food and the cuteness of the place was really why it kept 3 stars. Almost debated on 2 stars. Such a beautiful little place! Totally cute and instagram worthy ! We were in the area grabbing desserts from across the street and decided to grab brunch on our way home. The outside looks a bit small and unassuming but as soon as you walk in, it's a sweet little shop like you'd see in a fairytale. The service here was spectacular. Dogs are allowed in this restaurant, so if you have dogs, this is a great brunch option for you. We had two dogs in our party, and the server brought over pup cups (whipped cream) right away for them. About halfway through our brunch, they also gave little strips of bacon for the dogs. We ordered the: -Honey buffalo chicken sandwich ($16) This came with the option for mozzarella sticks or fries. We were tempted by the mozzarella sticks, but ended up sticking with classic fries. I would definitely order this again. -Honey dream waffles ($15): These were sugar waffles with raspberries, strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, honey, and raspberry sauce. I loved all of the fresh fruit, but would prefer regular waffles over the sugar waffles. After a while, the sugar waffles ended up being too sweet for me with all the fruit, honey, and sauce. -Chicken and waffles ($16): At first, they accidentally delivered the chicken and waffles dish, instead of the honey dream waffles that we had ordered. When we told them, they said that we can keep this dish and that they would also bring out the dish we had initially ordered. This was very nice of the servers, and we enjoyed this additional savory dish. The chicken was fried perfectly. -Strawberry matcha ($6.89): This came with dairy milk, but you can substitute it with alternative milks for an additional cost. We each ordered a strawberry matcha, and it was a refreshing pairing with our other dishes. The ambiance inside is adorable. The ceiling looks like a beehive, and the sharing plates and table runner have bee designs on them. They also have a bottle of honey at each table, in case you want anymore honey on your dishes! It was delicious. I ate the whole thing. And I would definitely order this again. Each of our plates comes with a lovely fruit cup. All the berries on top were delicious. The sliced strawberries on the bottom did not taste good and looked old so after having one piece I didn't finish it. For my drink, I ordered the honey lavender with almond milk, hot. I like that there was a good amount of lavender flavor but the honey flavor was too sweet for me and I would order something with more coffee in it next time. Fairly new spot. They have some logistical things to figure out but I'd give them a try. The wait for our food was longer than we waited to get data down on a Saturday morning. It was a full house and seemed like there was only one server for all the tables. There was 10 of us though and we were split up in two tables. Most dishes are honey influenced. The waffles are more liege waffles than your traditional Belgian waffle. The fried chicken was crispy and tasty but sweet from the honey. I felt that the menu was pretty limited too. I wish they had more options, we all didn't really know what to order. I was super disappointed in the strawberry matcha. It was mostly all strawberry unfortunately. The coffees were ok. Came here for lunch with a friend. We chose the place based off viewing photos of the ambiance and the food selection. Located in PB, plenty of street parking options though could see on weekends and during summer months could be more difficult though they also have a cutely decorated patio for dining al fresco out back. No reservations, just walk in service. Luckily no wait for us! Once seated with real menus the ordering is all done via the QR code at your table, that said if you want to be on the same bill use one phone though for splitting the bill this method makes it easy. I did not like that you pay and tip right away (can't place the order without), which is annoying if you decide to order something else like dessert later on in your meal. The host/food runner is around and you have to request water directly in person. I did not like that the water came in a plastic to go cup for a sit down meal. In case your curious the food is plated on real ceramic plates not to go boxes. My friend got the arugula salad with added shrimp, it was enjoyed and a large portion but included what must have been an entire grocery store bag of arugula so lots left over. I ordered the chicken and waffles, which I loved that it was chicken breast. It was very yummy and came with some mixed berries as well. Neither of us ordered a cafe or matcha latte though seems like they have some fun options. Overall a solid 4 stars though if there was a long wait I'd skip. That changed when my coffee came i ordered the banana brulee iced it was the perfect sweetness and bitterness both me and my wife enjoyed it and our coffee pallets are on the opposite sides of the spectrum. Stumbled upon this restaurant while showing my out-of-town family around San Diego, and it was the most adorable little gem!
