I grabbed their spicy chicken salad once while I was rushing thru the airport several years ago. I loved it so much. I'm very picky about chicken (usually find it bland, or dry, or rubbery)- and this salad was mind blowing good. I inhaled it before my flight even took off. I immediately googled this restaurant and was sad to find there aren't any locations in California. I happened to be passing thru Phoenix airport again several years later and made it a point to stop by again. I ordered the same salad and it tasted even better than I remembered! Unfortunately, my bread was hard as a rock and totally inedible, but it's ok. I wish I could try other menu items as their sandwiches sound so enticing. I'm legit sad that this place is out of my reach. Totally recommend.

I really liked this place. I was worried about getting my food on time but it only took them 5 minutes. (It was 1:20 pm, so it wasn't too busy.) The chicken sandwich was outstanding. Very fresh ingredient and lots of chicken. I ordered only half a sandwich but they delivered a full sandwich. I did not complaint because I was in a hurry and the counter ladies were so nice, I couldn't bear yo do it. Truly, they so friendly, unlike many servers here at the airport. I have them a good tip. It's not fun to work at this kind of place.

Update to my review: Mr. Louis Basil's Jr., the owner of Wildflower reached out to me personally about my review 1 day after I posted it. He was very apologetic that the airport branch did not meet our expectations and requested my address to send me a gift card to try Wildflower again. Mr. Basil Jr. was very courteous and his message was very genuine. I was very impressed with his communication. I have now received the card and it came with an apology letter signed personally by him. This is one of the few times that an owner personally reached out to express concern that his restaurant fell short of "perfect". I will most definitely try Wildflower again after this! Located in terminal 4 of Sky Harbor. Had breakfast here while waiting for a flight. Food seems to be ready ahead of time because it was very quick to come out when we ordered. There are mostly egg options for breakfast. My mom ordered an egg sandwich with tomatoes and feta and I ordered my egg breakfast. My dish was scrambled eggs, roasted potatoes and buttered toast. The eggs were fluffy but slightly on the dryer side. They could have used some more seasoning. The potatoes were cooked with rosemary so it had a nice flavor. My mom's sandwich was also pretty good but her only complain was how dry the tomatoes were, they were so rubbery, she had to remove them from her sandwich. We ordered coffee with our food. The coffee is pretty good too but they don't leave enough room for milk and sugar so it might be a good idea to ask for that if you're looking to add them to your coffee. They offer a free refill for the coffee as well. Prices are sliaverage. 2 meals and 2 coffees were slightly over $21.

An Airport Sammy To Stop The "Starvins" SITREP Welcome to the beginning of my 7-HR layover in Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport, "Yayyyy!" THE SETUP Just got in from Miami airport, where I ALREADY had a 6-HR layover from 3:15pm to 9:30pm local Miami time. Caught my connecting flight to Phoenix, and I'm off on a 4 HR trek westward across 2 time zones(?) where I got in around 11:30pm. When you do Economy class - via Travelocity - there are absolutely NO FRILLS whatsoever, except for a cup o' soda and a bag of pretzels. So by the time I crash through the gate with the rest of the disembarking passengers, I be very very hungry (but FIRST.MUST.PEE....) CUTE LITTLE STORE FRONT So when I gather my wits about me, find a WiFi enabled table in my nearby gate area, I take note of my surroundings and notice WILDFLOWER BREAD COMPANY, and saunter on over. Now mind you, it's well past midnight at this point, I have 7 HRS until my flight to Sacramento leaves at 7AM, and I'm concerned about staying alive with nutritional substances.... But most places are closed. In fact, I THINK Wildflower is technically closed to, or at least their kitchen is. Stopped at this location with two grandchildren for breakfast. We were greeted with a smile by the young person taking our order - how refreshing. The kids had a breakfast parfait, which they totally enjoyed. The adults had breakfast egg sandwiches, which we probably the best we've tasted in a long time. Fresh eggs, bacon, and cheese on a brioche bun- awesome. The manager(?) Jesse was extremely courteous, and made the whole experience great. I strongly recommend this place for a great meal in terminal 4. read more

As soon as I checked my bag, I received notification of my flight being delayed by a hour. Bullocks! I decided to get some food in my belly and proceeded to take a self guided tour of Terminal 4. My stomach suggested Wildflower and a 1/2 sandwich and soup sounded delightful. With 4 options of soups I was indecisive but Samantha (Sammii) gave me a few samples and suggestions along with a smile. My mood was instantly altered as I sat there eating my food, watching the world walk by, including Police escorting a woman in handcuffs and CNN engrossed in Putin and Trump's love affair. Despite all the nonsense around me, Sammii returned to offer a glass of water and a smile. Reminding me how wonderful the world is and that the kids are alright. read more

While the food was good, as expected the service was HORRIBLE. I asked 2 questions about the soup ingredients, mainly what was the consistency of the broth. After pulling out a binder to find who knows what, the female cashier with two tone hair, glasses says, "I guess I could let you taste it." I then ordered half sandwich and soup. While the conversation was 5 minutes at the most, she smacked her lips, rolled her eyes. Maybe she was in a hurry to get to flirting with the cooks or texting on her phone. read more

TL;DR - eat here. You'll thank me. Unless you want a burger. Also mustard on the side and sub out the bread. There is nothing challah about it IMO. ----- You might be traveling to San Francisco from Austin. You might also be hungry and your flight boards in seven minutes. You would have had forty-five minutes but you prattled on and on and wasted half an hour trying to decide between modern burger and pizza. Pizza or burger. Pizza or burger. In the end, you chose Wildflower for health reasons (presumably). Congrats to you! You care about yourself! The Wildflower Bakery is an attractive sandwich joint near terminal 4 A7. It's bright, clean and makes you feel like the food you're going to eat was made with love. And it is. Wildflower's baked goods and pre made sandwiches are neatly displayed for you to drool over. The sheen off of the croissants was like a mirage and the chocolate chip pumpkin muffin was calling my name but instead I tried to get the Turkey Brie that I was was denied in Austin. Because I was leaning towards the BLT+ I decided, "choose? We are in GD America! We get what we want in America," so I added bacon to my Turkey Brie. ----- Food: everything was tasty but I would definitely suggest holding off on the mustard. Even though it was good mustard, it overpowered bother the Brie and the Bacon making their presence worthless. In the end, they will go straight to my thighs anyway. (What's a girl to do?) I'd definitely try their other sandwiches but I'd be more guarded. In fact, I'd definitely ditch their default bread for anything else. Up your game by going for a croissant. read more

Love that it's 24/7. The cashiers are sweet. The wildflower breakfast sandwich is a good bargain for your money. The rolled oats aren't bad either if you want to stay healthy. Plenty of food for the early hour rush. And you can't go wrong with any of their soups for a light lunch. read more

Passing through skyharbor on the way to Portland we stopped at store 17 in the airport and got outstanding service from the staff at this location Samantha, Edgar, and Jayme, they went above and beyond for us making our experience much better than it could have been and the food was excellent too, thank you, The Gates family. read more

I like this bakery very much. I was impressed with their breads in Sedona and we have started to use this bakery anywhere. This bakery has been started recently so I am very happy to eat their breads in the airport as well. Update Today I enjoyed eating their half and half set of soup and bread. That set has good size for lunch actually. read more

Wildflower is a chain found throughout Arizona. I ordered the Vegetable quinoa salad which was OUTSTANDING! They ran out of kale, so I substituted it with spinach. There were so many elements to it: light, refreshing, filling and under $10! The dressing was a light tangy vinaigrette..I'm not sure what was crunchy..carrots? Corn? Celery?almonds? Jicama? But it was perfection ..and I would definitely order it again! Since my flight was delayed, I made a second stop in and ordered the mocha frozen drink-made a few alterations: no whip, light chocolate syrup, decaf espresso and substituted the chocolate milk with soy milk (at NO EXTRA charge)! It's a small place but they have charging stations at their high tables (if you're looking for a place to juice up your phone or computer). Great place and great staff! I'm glad Wildflower was available as a healthier option amongst the Taco, burger, pizza, and Panda Express within the terminal. read more

This place has great breakfast and lunch when heading out of town. I almost always go with the Spicy Super Greens salad to take on a long flight (it also comes with a slice of fresh bread). When I'm at the airport early, a scrambled eggs and passion fruit iced tea is perfect for breakfast before a flight. This is one of my favorite restaurants at the airport :) read more

The potato soup was hot and delicious. I like the smooth texture and little bits of potato so it wasn't too chunky. Best soup to have on a cold day and the free wheat grain bread on the side was just the right size and fresh. I also got a half sandwich and pre-made Asian chicken salad. Definitely on the pricier side but that's what you expect at an airport terminal. Service was efficient and fast and correct - nothing to complain about. Overall it was a good experience and I would recommend it. There's a Panda Express to the right ...but it was an easy choice for me. The seating area was full but the terminals empty out quickly. read more

I ordered the spicy Cuban and it was alright but the price was high but what can you expect ordering food at an airport. All of the meat was piled in the center so it was kinda annoying to eat. Other than that the staff was super nice and it didnt take long to get my food. read more

Great spot if you're looking to eat at the airport without having to go through security. Airport restaurants are notorious for grumpy employees and bad service. This Wildflower location has neither. We got great service from Samantha and were pleasantly surprised with how good the food tasted. Will definitely go again if in need of a bite at the airport. read more

We stopped by for a quick lunch before heading out for the weekend this past Friday. The staff was so warm and welcoming, the service was fast and the food was quite tasty. I enjoyed a cup of the mulligatawny with a half sandwich of ham & swiss with spicy honey mustard. It was just what I was looking for at lunch...super impressed! read more

Stopped by for quick breakfast as this was only place open outside of security...service was excellent!! The spicy chipotle egg sandwich was ok...not too spicy and croissant was soft. The breakfast with scrambled egg and ham and potato was ok as well. Egg wasn't very good as it was really clumpy but the ham was pretty good. Potatoes were so so, soft and not crispy at all...overall nothing too exciting but nothing else was open. Really 2.5 stars...only saving grace was the service... read more

The menu board was the initial attraction. Them came Maya, the wonderful all in one greeter, cashier, and server. Her warm smile and matching personality set the tone for our meal. We selected the Wildflower Two, pairing soup with 1/2 sandwich. In short, very wholesome food, at unexpectedly reasonable price. Definitely worth the stop! read more

New fave at PHX. Really delicious sandwich (I had the Super BLT, which adds turkey and avocado), and it came out within a couple minutes of ordering. Ingredients were fresh and crisp - not the usual airport nonsense. Friendly service, super efficient, sandwich hit the spot. A+, would eat again. read more

We just came in from a red-eye flight from Hawaii. We were exhausted, hungry and looking for no hassle breakfast. .. we found it. Staff was excellent, the service was fast and personal. They made an effort to move everyone through the lines quickly, and personally handed you your food to make sure everything was okay. Whoever the manager is of this take-out gets 5 gold stars from me!! Wonderful morale with the staff too. Good job. read more

I just wanted to say thank you to the staff at Wildflower airport for the quick service always. We have had several flights already this year and we love Wildflower at Sky Harbor. They have 2 locations within Sky Harbor airport and I have been to both. This time I am talking specifically of the location past Security although they are both good. A variety of foods from quick grab and go to hot sit down meals. The soup are so delicious and the bakery items are so fresh. Nothing like grabbing a muffin for dessert to take with you on your flight. We have tried many places at the airport but Wildflower is our favorite. We have always experienced great customer service and quality food. Even when they are the busiest, we never feel the wait time is excessive and the employees are always welcoming. One more thing. I traveled to Oregon out of the A gates February 20th of this year. I wanted to thank Evan for the exceptional customer service he provided. Evan was a delight to have taking my order. He made sure it was made to my specifications because I am picky and don't like a lot of garnish on my sandwiches. He also hand delivered my sandwich and Americano to me. I love Wildflower's welcoming atmosphere. The staff is always friendly and professional. This is the only place I will eat before my flights. When I flew back in to Phoenix I stopped in to grab something quick to take for my long drive home. Thank you to the GM Destiny for that recommendation and fast service. Now to mention the staff! there is a girl who works from opening (which before 4 A.m. and works till late and i must say, she makes to the place glow :) Her name is Andrea! But also, Sammi and Mya are so incredibly helpful and caring as well. After arriving at Sky Harbor, I stopped at Wildflower for a bite to eat before catching a bus home. Kwana and Austin were high-energy and full of puns. When I took a few seconds to decide which soup to order, Kwana immediately offered me samples of all four, each of which was delicious. I recommend the pumpkin! The service here was the best service I have ever had at a bakery or airport restaurant. We had a little one & they carried all of our food to our table that wasn't close since the tables were full.
