It was nice and purple which somehow seemed to match perfectly with the vibe and aesthetic of the place. The loaded fries smelled just too good to pass up when we saw someone else order it. Everything, but the service, was great, hence the 4 stars. I guess I was unlucky when I last visited because I had a server who was mentally checked out. After she took our order, I never saw her again (other people brought the food) and when it was time to pay, she disappeared for over 15 minutes. I still left a 10% tip but she decided to give herself an extra dollar (I keep track of my receipts). I plan on calling mgmt but for you all, beware of Tiffany. TL;DNR: I absolutely love the food, service, and ambience. The one complaint I have is questionable practices of cleanliness/health concerns. (Details in the service section.) Tip: If you decide that you might come here, make a reservation. They're always packed. Ambience: It's very well lit, overall clean, and very spacious. There are a lot of two-tops, and when it's warm, they open up some of the doors. There's no funky smells. The noise levels are average. I've been here multiple times and I've never thought it was overly loud in here (for lunch, happy hour, and dinner). Service: Their staff is friendly and accommodating - perhaps to a detriment of other patrons. There were two women that came in with two VERY LARGE golden retrievers that were kinda wet and smelled HORRIBLY. My friend and I were sitting maybe 4 tables over and I could smell the dogs. The dogs didn't even fit under the table and were spilling into the walkway. Even the patrons said that they could sit outside, but the hostess? person seating people? (I don't know their official title) told them it was fine and they could have the dogs inside. I think it as really bad judgement on the staff side. It made the whole meal very hard to enjoy. Another time I was there, the person that was clearing the tables poured the water that were in the glasses - that people drank - BACK INTO the water bottles they use to serve patrons. Of course, there's no way for me to know whether or not they used the same water bottle to serve to other people or if they actually washed it. I'm assuming they didn't wash it because it was really busy that day. Food/Drinks: For drinks, if I'm feeling anti-boozy, I will 100% get the golden latte - sometimes I'll get it to go because I love it so much. It's creamy with cardamom, which is one of my favorite up and coming spices. There's a hint of sweet, and the drink isn't overwhelming as far as spices - even though there's quite a bit in there. Currently, the Wacky Wabbit is my favorite boozy one. It's surprisingly not heavy or overly scotchy. It's sweet and complex. I really liked the previous one they made with Darjeeling tea, but I think they rotated it out of the menu, seasonally. I always get the Mezze Plate when I get here. That seeded flatbread is so flavorful, crunchy, warm and delicious, and the coconut feta is to die for. I have no idea how they make it, but it's by far the best vegan cheese I've ever had - and it doesn't taste like coconut at all (for those that aren't a fan of coconut generally, like I am). The Ensalata Andalusia is also wonderful. The lettuce is soft and the alternating texture between the coconut bacon, almonds, cheese, and leafy greens leaves your mouth fully satiated. The flavors between the salty and sweet is also a plus, if you're into that. Orecchiette Alla Pugliese is creamy and gives a little kick with the hot Italian beyond sausage. The noodles aren't overdone, but not quite al dente, either. I've had a few of their bowls, too, and they are always a fun mixture of textures and flavors. They are also filling without feeling heavy. The beet banana chocolate cake is rich and creamy without being overly sweet. All in all, the food is absolutely fantastic, even for people that aren't vegan. It's delicious and complex and well worth trying. I really hope they fix the water and dog situation. Really good, almost great! Wildseed has a warm inviting atmosphere. It strikes a pleasant balance between an upscale restaurant and a casual brunch/lunch spot. I ordered the Wildseed Burger. It came with a moderately sized burger, a helping of fries, and some pickled vegetables. I didn't know what to expect as the menu said the burger comes with a mushroom and spinach patty. Not being a fan of spinach, I was really pleasantly surprised. It had a nice slightly charred texture and was pleasantly salty and savory. You get a very slight kick and sweetness, especially with the pickled vegetables but it's not overwhelming. The lettuce could have been a little crunchier and the buns steamed just slightly longer. That being said, I would definitely get it again; it's a very good burger and without any of the greasiness you get in a regular meat burger. The fries are solid and come with a curried ketchup. What keeps me from giving this 5 stars is the price. I get that it's an expensive area and that they use good ingredients, but almost 20 dollars for a burger and some fries is a bit much. You don't just eat at Wildseed: you taste, you savor, and you're being mindful of every ingredient that was intentionally placed on your meal. We came here today after seeing the SF Botanical Garden. I ordered our regular Mezza plate and then added the mushroom fritters and the combination was really good. It was the first time I had the mushroom fritters (5 small ones for 13 dollars) but it was surprisingly soft and chewy and it had lots of mushroom umami flavor. I was so hungry that I didn't take any pictures. My mother ordered herself a Neatball curry bowl and to my surprise (she's very picky), she loved it and said she will order it again next time. It's not cheap, 100 dollars for lunch for three people but the service, quality of food and flavor makes it all worth it. It's pretty much where we go now whenever we come for SF visits. read more

We walked by this place on a Saturday around 2pm and they were able to seat us outside immediately! We didn't realize this place was a vegan restaurant until we took a look at the menu and we started off cautiously optimistic and ended lunch being huge fans of Wildseed. We ordered the polenta cakes and the spicy sausage pizza along with a few drinks. The polenta cakes were topped with red sauce and mushrooms and it was so garlicky, it went well with the creaminess of the polenta cakes. The pizza was straight up fantastic. The crust was light and chewy, the jackfruit sausages were great, and I absolutely loved the coconut mozzarella. What an experience! I usually don't write reviews, but when both the food and service is exceptional, I really do have to sing praises. My friend and I were visiting and made a reservation. We arrived a bit early and the host was nice enough to accommodate us at the bar for the time being. When we finally sat down, our server Talia (possibly Natalia? Can't recall) was the best! She was made sure to always check in on us and provided several amazing recommendations. Some of the following include: Yellow curry (AMAZING). I usually get curry at Thai restaurants, but this was a totally different vibe and I would encourage anyone to try. For sure a little kick, but so flavorful. The banana cake. Such a fun dessert! Never have seen this anywhere, so was a bit apprehensive. She did not lead us astray. We also ordered the cauliflower and meatball masala. I could have had 10 more plates of that cauliflower. Drinks were perfect. Got the what's up doc and it hit the spot! My friend also tried the last of us, which is a mushroom-based drink. Salad had butter lettuce, deliciously creamy smoky cashew Gouda, Marcona almonds, delicious little peppers, and smoky crispy coconut chips. The pizza crust was perfect. Crispy with good flavor. Good flavors, a bit spicy but not overly spicy, rice was tasty too. My friend had the RESET SALAD: arugula, kale, frisée, farro, beets, sugar snap peas, pickled fennel, radishes, toasted seeds, turmeric and balsamic vinaigrette (cg).
