The customer service was fantastic. But the food was a different story. The fries were shoestring style. They were burnt and stale. The burger CC (with chili) was underwhelming. The chili had a dark brown look, and a heavy thick consistency. The chili and hamburger patty flavors were underwhelming. They needed something to liven it up. Oddly, there was no air conditioning. It broke down. Stifling hot inside the eatery on an Autumn 89 degree day. Despite the lack of AC, I still ordered. Even the ceiling fans couldn't generate enough of a notable breeze to provide a temporary respite. I stood under one while waiting for our order. They have outdoor seating. But on this particular weekday early evening, the mood of Old Town was quiet, so quiet that it felt a bit somber. We took out order to go. Original plan was to eat there but without AC, nope.

This is the sign for the burger place. We walked past it prob four times because it wasn't labeled Willie's

Friendly staff. 8.7 husband said for his cheese burger. A 9.1 for the chili cheese fries. A great spot to eat at before the A's game.

Willie's Burgers is a place you should try out. Definitely didn't have high expectations, but was pleasantly surprised. Originally was supposed go dine in, but ended up door dashing and the food was still good! You get what you pay for, but the food reminded me of home comfort food. We ordered the zoo fries and chili dog with cheese. They give you a good portion on the fries and don't skip out of the cheese. We added bacon and they are some long strips! The chili on the dog was darker and maybe not the most appealing, but actually had good flavor. The dog had a snap that we didn't expect. I would come back to try more items!

Disappointing! I was looking forward to Willie's but it fell flat. Being in Old Sac, you'd figure this place would have some personality and "fun". Instead it just seems weary and beat up. Maybe I should have tried a burger but had one yesterday so I went with chili cheese fries. Service was fine and prompt. $7 and some change...let's see! Looked okay until you dive in....SUPER greasy! The chili was abundant but tasted "dirty" if that makes sense. The cheese wasn't special, I think it was just a slice of processed American cheese. The fries were okay and held their integrity decently until you get to the soggy, greasy mess at the bottom. Try Willie's again for something else? I doubt it. 1.5 stars....so really just a 3 out of 10.

We were there on Saturday around 1pm. It was packed. Thankfully. Someone got up just as we were ready to sit down. We totally scored a table. If not there were tables outside, other than it was a little chilly outside. I ordered the Hammer 1. It was great. Very juicy. I didn't need more than that. I loved every bite. We also had the onion rings. They were very tasty. They were just as crispy as I had hoped. I love crispy fries and onion rings.

Their burgers were pretty good; the bun was slightly toasted, onions and lettuce were crunchy, and the patty was savory and flavorful. I was definitely drawn in by their beignets! It was so huge, one beignet was the size of my palm. The place is a bit run down, but it has a little charm to it, being in old sac. It was dog friendly, since they have outside seating.

We came to Old Sac for the Theater of Lights and found a prime spot to view the show from in front of Willie's. We decided to order some drinks and food while we were there too obviously. We went with the Hammer 4, Garlic Fries and the Kids Chicken Strips. To be honest, I was only a fan of the chicken strips, the fries were heavy on the raw garlic so it was spicy, but not in a good way and the burger was mediocre at best. The bun was hard and my favorite part was actually the American cheese. Overall, I was disappointed and I wasn't a fan of them selling everything separately so there were no meals, you had to order the fries separately for an additional charge plus whatever drink you wanted. The same went for the kids meals - fries or a drink were not included. Staff wasn't all that friendly either. I don't think we'll be back.

On a walk in Old Sac we needed a snack. Stopped into a fun and busy hamburger place. They had many burger options along with other items. The cashier was helpful when I asked if I should try the cheese no meat (grilled cheese) or the zoo fries. He quickly said zoo fries. The fries were good similar to in n out animal fries. I wish there had been a little more cheese and a little less sauce. If we go again that will be my request.

Chili burgers and chili fries. Pretty standard fare, but slightly pricey because you are in a tourist trap area. At least the portions are decent.

Was introduced to this location for the first time and probably the last time. Walked around Old Sacramento and needed to grab something to eat. Walked inside with a group and they were able to take our orders quickly. We found some seating outside (they have a couple tables inside) and waited. We got our orders - Garlic Fries - Large Chili Cheese Fries - massive portion that was extremely salty Overall it was ok, but due to the extreme saltiness I would not return. They do have a bathroom that was very clean and staff was friendly.

Great burgers, delicious onion rings, and creamy ice-cream shakes. Highly recommend.

Willie's Burgers is a wonderful atmosphere with better, delicious tasting food. The staff is friendly, willing to take the time to answer any questions, and establishment is clean. Highly recommend. Overall Rating: 5 Stars

    Over cooked fried

DONT DO IT! Walk away, fries over cooked and burgers need seasoning! Spend your money somewhere else. Looks good but no taste.

The fries were actually pretty good, an above average standard French fry with salt. The burger however was phenomenal. There was an amazing crust on the outside reminiscent of a backyard bbq. There was ample bacon, lettuce, cheese and sauce to make it a balanced bite. The bun was high end brioche style, they really went all out on quality of ingredients.
