We have been to Willie's on numerous occasions and have had very good dishes such as fried chicken and steak fingers, great fries, and tasty queso and chips. Okay, I have to give a caveat for my five stars... it's obviously not in comparison to "fancy" restaurants in the area, but man for what Willie's is, it just can't be described as anything other than 5 stars! The ambience is a bit hard to describe, though located in front of a Walmart, it still gives family-friendly locally-loved vibes. Also, it's deceptively big on the inside and has an outdoor, dog-friendly patio! The food here is CONSISTENTLY delicious (but probably not the healthiest as almost everything we've ordered is fried). Their Caesar salad and sauces are consistently delicious as well. My son loves it, which is always a plus! There's a small arcade inside and several TVs so I feel like kids are occupied the entire time. You order at the counter and then take your receipt to the table where a server will get your food out to you. The cashiers have always been pretty friendly and are happy to make recommendations. Though the servers don't have a big job, they have always promptly offered to refill our drinks and check in with us if we need anything in addition to our food. read more

Ordered take-out for our 2nd visit to Willie's Grill & they have been on point EVERY time!! This says a lot for a take-out order as I feel other places have been lack luster but take-out orders are even more important to me. You don't get to sit and enjoy the ambiance with your food so the food must speak and OH IT DID!! The service was also above and beyond too! We ordered through Yelp and pulled into a curbside parking (although was not technically a "curbside" order) and they came to car immediately and got our food right out!! Super nice guy!! (wish I got his name) We ordered chicken tender bites with a side salad, sweet potato fries (I feel like for a side order there could have been more for the price) cheddar pepper burger which was so juicy and ON POINT, and the best for last, the TX fried chicken club (tx toast could be less buttered/greased) but overall phenomenal!! We all shared a bite of each other's food because with food that good you have to share!! I don't think we left crumbs at all. The burger was so juicy you were licking your fingers not because it was messy but because you wanted the flavor!! Both the burger and chick sammich were absolutely bangin'! The chicken tender bites were also juicy & NOT overcooked and also a generous serving!! We can't wait to go back and enjoy some of their cold beverages with their amazing food fare but our take-out experience was def 5 level!! **THE PHOTOS SHARED WERE OF OUR FIRST VISIT AT THIS LOCATION not OUR TAKE-OUT EXPERIENCE** I guess we were too hungry to photograph that meal! I have dined here two or three times. The food is pretty good. The young folks who work here are excellent. But this place has some serious drawbacks. Handicap parking is at the end of the building. Takeout parking has several spots by the door which in my experience are always empty. It has a big parking lot which is usually packed. A full parking lot with five or six empty spots by the front door that are reserved for take out. The thing that really frosts my old arse though is the way you have to order. You walk in and are not allowed to sit and order From a menu. You have to stand in a line and order from a wall mounted menu while the attendant waits impatiently. My wife and I are both past eighty and find this to be off putting. Today I looked at their on line menu before we went only to be told that they were out of the snow crab legs that I wanted. It has a chance of being a really good restaurant if they would iron out some of the kinks. read more

Normal I love this place but I was disappointed today with them. I ordered through DoorDash last night and when I received my order, it was under cooked. I called the next morning to asked them to remake it and told them the problem. The manager agreed to remake it but told me she didn't have a driver and I had to pickup. Had an absolutely fantastic time at this location. They did have some issues going on due to construction however the staff were completely transparent and made sure our visit went great. The staff were able to give me a couple recommendations and a free order of pickles. Our waitress stayed on top of our drinks, wait times, and other needs. Fried Pickles and Mozzarella sticks are made fresh and delicious! As always my go to is the wings with loaded fries. Best part they don't charge extra if you want flats. I requested mine extra crispy and the flavor spicy goodness. They let me know ahead of time that the wings do take the longest to make from the menu which I didn't mind. They came out fresh and hot! Good food and great service! We arrived in town late, hungry and tired. It was a half hour before closing and the employees couldn't have been more welcoming. We tried to apologize for being so late but the staff would hear of it. Vivian helped us with dinner and drink choices and Joel was very friendly and accommodating. The food was very satisfying but we couldn't get over the Texas hospitality!
