I've never had a bad meal at Willie's. If you've never been here before- you stand in line and grab your own drinks and order at the counter, pick your own seat, then you'll be greeted by a server who will go over the table's order. My kids love coming here because they have a sand pit and also an arcade room. Typically I order the chicken tenders (which are the best around), but today we ordered to-go and I tried the chicken fried steak. It was HUGE, cooked perfectly and came with two big sides. I got a Caesar salad and mashed potatoes with gravy. The salad was fresh and the gravy was abundant! I asked for 2 blue cheeses which I was meaning the dressing but since I didn't specify, they included two dressings AND two containers of blue cheese itself. Thank you! This was our first time eating here, recommended by the hotel next door. It didn't disappoint, coming from the seafood capital of the world, we had the shrimp and catfish platter and the seafood platter! Both were great choices fried perfectly with a cornmeal crust! The only disappointment was the limited alcohol choices! Maybe next time they will have a bar! read more

It's decent BBQ in a fun atmosphere. More fun probably if you're a drinker as they have like 200 beers on ice as you walk in. Weird ordering format - counter service, but then a server comes to clarify your order and then you pay. Anyway, they were attentive and nice and remembered our order. I love Willie's and my wife and I go there to eat or get take out regularly. The fried catfish and shrimp basket is a favorite but I also love their chopped steak with mushrooms, onions and gravy. Another great option is their chicken fried chicken or steak, I like the chicken. Fried mushrooms as an apetitizer is always a must. I haven't ever had room for desert since their portions fiil me and usually require a doggy bag. But I keep seeing servers carrying a giant chocolate and whipped cream plate of something I intend to investigate one day. I also love the casual atmosphere and service is alway exceptional. My only complaint is that they occasionally mess up the order on take out and delivery but they always make it right by you. I'll be coming back regularly as I always do. read more

We came for crawfish. They have very few people serving and waiting in the. . Then they cancel the crawfish order and we had to go with something that we did not want. And, it's not even 8 o'clock in the evening. Or management. We have noticed that several times that of been here. I would recommend people go to Buffalo run for crawfish if that's what you want. read more

Just picked up a chicken finger dinner along with a catfish dinner (take out). Initial call was met with a hang up, the second was met with being on hold for over 7 mins. My wife arrived only to find no one in line and no one at the counter to take the order! Food arrived home and was absolutely the worst meal I have ever had! Cold, small portions, hard French fries, nasty Cole slaw! I would not even feed the leftovers to the dog it was so poorly prepared, This place sucks and you will never find me visiting this location again! read more

Decided to order a steak dinner because I felt after a long week I deserved it. What should have been an 8oz cooked steak ended up being a 4oz steak. In all my decades of cooking I've never had meat lose half it's weight, but there it was. Called up the manager to ask what happened and all they could do was try to school ME on how meat cooks down, as if I, the average American from the south never grilled a steak before. Either their supplier is lying to them or they're just lying to the customer, but the manager was in no mood to help me out. The steak should have been at least 6oz once cooked. Instead of offering ANY help, the manager simply said "thanks for the feedback" and hung up on me. I'll never be dining with them again, that's for sure. Terrible business. read more

The food is actually pretty good. I enjoyed my Shrimp Po boy and hubby liked his burger but I have three problems with this place. One the ordering system is moronic. Sorry but it is. As others have stated you get in line order. Sit Down order again. Are you a fast food joint or a restaurant? Two. Those nasty red cups from the 80s have to GO. Just a really good burger! For the life of me, I haven't a clue why they make you stand in a line to talk to, not your server, place your order with said "order taker #1," only to go sit down and wait, yet again, place your order again, to wait, as is the norm before finally having a meal brought to you. Yet, I still come back, always when it's nearly empty. It's a good, nothing fancy burger! My favorite is the Bacon Cheese Willie. Their onion rings are also very good. Great food! Ive had the fried catfish and shrimp with onion rings and it was the best I've had! Not too much salt and fried to perfection! It's real catfish, allot of restaurants serve swai instead but this is not the case here, nice size shrimp and another thing I like is that they batter 2 onion rings together which makes for fantastic rings! We got the biggest one. We got there a bit over 20 minutes before closing & if they didn't want to service us they could have just said so.
