Finally got the chance to have lunch here and I was more than happy with my experience. Daniel, the cashier, who was also cooking and serving, was so kind and made my experience personable and enjoyable. I am very pleased to know that this restaurant has attentive and professional staff. Food was amazing and came out very quick! Great music and a comforting atmosphere. Wish I could've tipped him more! I will definitely be coming back.

Great, small place to stop and get a bite to eat. I had the pork belly tapa and it was delicious - the salad it comes with really complimented it nicely. My mom got the pork belly ramen which she also enjoyed. The setting is cute and you can eat in or get food to go. But I must say what's really incredible is that this place is a one woman show - the single person working here runs the kitchen, register, phones, and every other service all by herself. She's running around making delicious food and still managing to be a delightful person.

Vegan broth ramen with tonkatsu toppings

Joy was absolutely a pleasure and the food was amazing. The broth was delicious. They didn't have tonkatsu broth at the time but it was great because I got to try the vegan broth with all the tonkatsu fixings. The vegan broth was light but still so flavorful. The housemade noodles from a locally grown wheat farm are to die for. I highly recommend this place and will definitely be back to visit Joy and eat more ramen.

Staying in tune with eating after games we decided it was time to skip the allure of more fast food and check out Ramen Cubed. The vibe of the place was just fantastic, it is intimate and you are able to watch the chefs create. It is very colorful, the service was fast and efficient and there was reggae music playing... that part of Willits has a cool vibe. Our server and Sous Chef, Jesse, was a former Fort Bragg resident, a member of old and prolific local families we all know in the Dunsing and Fales clans. The food was fabulous, we grabbed a bit of everything from Ahi, Scallop Tapas to Chicken, Shrimp, Ford Ranch Filets and my choice Pork Belly Ramens. Their hot sauce, not pictures had a great flavor with some slow burning heat. We want to give this place . If you have to eat away from the diverse culinary smorgasbord we have Only in Fort Bragg, this place should be top of your list.

Tonkotsu Ramen with gluten free noodles

10/10 definitely recommend Ramen Cubed in Willits! We stopped here on a road trip and absolutely LOVED it. I had the tonkotsu ramen with gluten free noodles and it was incredible. Super rich broth and the pork was to die for!! They were knowledgable and proactively accommodating of my gluten allergy. My husband also had the tonkotsu ramen, my son had the chicken miso ramen, and my daughter had the kids ramen -- they loved every bite! My family and I will definitely be back if we are ever in the area!

Filled Minon Tapas. Decent flavor on the chimichurri but a bit sloppy on the plating and salad falling off the plate...

Ramen Cubed... I'm mixed on this one and here's why.. Pros: Warm ramen, lots of flavor, obviously fresh and organic ingredients, small menu easy to understand, and in Willits no less.. Cons: Really thick and soupy starchy broth, if you are a Japanese purist, it may throw you off a bit. Needs a bit more attention to detail from the dishwashing to the plating. Had to send back glasses to be rewashed and scrape crusty spots from the soup spoons, and with that non traditional unfiltered thick starchy style broth you have to def get on your dishwashing game. Price on two bowls of the tonkatsu and 1 tapas with hot tea, which the tea never arrived even though there was two employees and only 3 customers, was over $66.00. Attention to detail is everything. Overall: They have flavor, but its a bit sloppy. Japanese cuisine second only to its simplicity and balance of flavors, is all about attention to detail and technique. It's not in any way sloppy, and if it is, well it's generally not actually Japanese. Our cultural differences are massive. And the truth of those differences always comes out in our cuisine. Valiant effort for a roadside stop in willits, but fell a bit short for us.

Very small Ramen shop as expected from the photos provided by others. It's cozy. When we walked in, there was only 1 person working at the time. He finished up plating the food for others and took our orders after a few mins of sitting. Asked for a recommendation and he said the Tonkatsu was very popular. I specifically said "that's what I want, the Tonkatsu." As we waited, we can see the guy scrambling to put our dishes together. He brought over our dishes, I looked at my bowl very confused and I didn't question it. I ate it, "hmm this tastes different than what I normally get at my local Ramen shop." Maybe I should have spoken up but I'm not much to cause a scene. I ate it to only find out I was charged for another dish and many other random items. We had to let the waiter know, he charged us for the wrong things. He fixed it and I didn't fight the charge on the NY strip bowl since I ate it. It was maybe a 2/5 bowl. It was very greasy. The service was messy and the bill was even more messy. Would I recommend this place? Nah...come to the Central Valley if you want good Ramen or the Bay.

Ramen in Willits? I'm always up to be amazed and boy was I ever surprised by this tiny little place. Maybe holds 20 people tops, but wedge yourself in here, make friends with your neighbors and have yourself some delicious food. Was traveling and stopped here for dinner with a friend. She did the miso and chicken ramen, I did the scallop ramen with chicken broth base. Ordered the spice bomb on the side. Scallops in my dish were perfection. Loved the addition of veggies I don't consider a regular player in ramen. Broth was flavorful and watch out with that spice bomb. It is no joke! Definitely will come back when I'm in Willits again.

Twas a solo, business trip on a Friday night, so I was able to experience this place on full, local display. Sat at the sushi bar and I was able to watch the chef make my Oco personally. The only reason I left a star out is because as I sat at one of those bar spots, I was exposed to the back side of the deep fryer so not only was it warm but it was a touch scummy. It needed to be cleaned thoroughly. (To me that something you expect in Japanese culture is the expected cleanliness.) The service was not bad, perhaps not top notch, maybe due to the fact it was a full house with tables turning over. Overall well done and I will return.

It's fried noodles on top of a pile of cabbage, sauce, egg crepe, sauce, and other choice of topping, and (of course) sauce. I ordered the "Japanese", pork and mushroom with sweet and spicy sauce. When I got it. I thought to myself that I needed a straw for the sauce. I would order again and try the other flavors, but less sauce. We also ate the "fish sticks", cooked spicy tuna, with spicy sauce on top. Not bad The secret to good sushi is the rice, and fresh ingredients. The fish was fine. The rice was not too sweet and the right consistency. Not bad. The service was great. Very attentive and plenty of help. The atmosphere was pleasing. It space must have been a Latin style restaurant cuz it has kind of a Latin vibe. Regardless it was a good time and good food. On a humorous note, I noticed we were the only Asians, other than the owners, in the restaurant. That's was concerning. . But I'm glad we got over it. There aren't many Asians here.

Usually we like sitting at the bar to see the chefs do their thing, but this place is not like that at least the night we went to which was surprising cause Japanese establishments typically are cooking out in the open. They had a lot of different sakes which was really nice to see but no draft beer unless I missed it. They let you pick a cup for your sake which is so cute, I loved that. All their table wear was so beautiful. We got a fruity sake first and loved that one. The second one was the "goku" it was giving straight sake. I'd prolly stick to fruitier ones. The server was very kind and she was easy to talk to and provided great service. As for the food, I thought it was pretty okay! We ordered the omakase which was $75 per person and it was very filling. We had trout sashimi which had some bite texturally not my fave fish tbh. Potato Salad which a jammy egg omg I loved it but wondered how it'd taste if the egg was marinated. The mushroom soup was lemony and oniony it was pretty good. The karage could've been crispier imo and I wish the wasabi aoli was a lil different but it was still good. The robata was hella good my fave was the meatball one, I'm not a big fan of cartilage but that it very well cooked, and I appreciated the pile seasoning provided as well. The strawberry topped panna cotta was so good no notes. Overall, pretty good and I'd go again if I was in this area and order individual dishes especially the potato salad and panna cotta. Not really the vibe of an izakaya imo but def a nice Japanese restaurant with some twists.
