I found Ramen Cubed on Yelp last week when I was driving south on Hwy 101. I was looking for something lighter than a hamburger. the menu was interesting but everything was as hot and it was close to 109 outside. I asked if there was something cold and the waitress said she could make me dish with cold noodles. it turned out amazing! cold noodles, grilled steak, vegetables, mint and a delicious light dressing. This is a total gem on 101. It's not much to look at on the outside, but it punches well above its weight. We were driving through and felt like a lighter dinner. My kids love ramen and were not disappointed. The broth was delicious. My son ordered tuna for his. I had seared scallops in mine. My other son had the pulled chicken. All of the meats were excellent. And I came with a perfectly cooked marinated egg! The staff was accommodating to what my kids did and didn't want in their bowl. My husband ordered the 4 oz steak on the tasting menu. He couldn't get over the crust on it, how perfectly it was cooked. It was a nice size at 4 ounces. This place is really special. read more

I'm a big fan of this new restaurant in Willits. The locally sourced filet mignon with chimichurri sauce is my favorite, and the Tonkatsu pork belly ramen is amazing! The broth is thick and the portions are hearty. The atmosphere is small but inviting and the cooks are outgoing and friendly. One negative... the most recent time I ate there with my bf, a female employee took our order and then seated two other families after us and took their orders after us... but she served all of them before us. She also forgot our tapas order. We were pretty annoyed but I refuse to give less than 5 stars because the other 6-7 times have been awesome. read more

Did not enjoy the ramen. I ordered the pork ramen under specialties. Tasted like Chinese five spice mixed with water: like, no broth flavor at all and I was burping five spice for an hour. I honestly think regular 1$ ramen from the grocery store is better. It was so bad I didn't even try to finish it and went to Super Taco instead (which is a great Willits restaurant!) Two stars for the service and because my partner had the "tapas" steak, which was delicious but pricey for the portion. read more

I live in Willits. I want there to be better places to eat that source locally. I want Ramen Cubed to do well. Hence the review. Mr or Miss Ramen Cubed... please stop leaving your restaurant in the hands of teenagers when you're asking 38 dollars for a salad. My last visit in, the place was dirty, there was no music- just the chatter of two girls "running" the place. Which ok... no shade to young people. They need to work too, but I don't want to hear about their personal lives during lunch. My 38 dollar salad was first brought to a different table (there were only two tables occupied) and after 3 people stared down at, and attempted to eat my salad, it was dropped in front of me. It was swimming in a soup of some kind and the lettuce was more yellow than green. I tried to enjoy my soupy salad with possible COVID...but at that point I was really just grossed out. I paid and left. It's a small restaurant. keeping it clean, at the very least, is an easy enough task for one person serving if their job has been properly explained to them. Maybe that's the issue? Anyhow. I'll go back, but please... it could be so much better with just a little more effort. read more
