Was serviced by Amber Lynne at Willo Sacramento and it was the worst salon experience I've had anywhere thus far. I asked for curtain bangs but was given a bang that went across my whole forehead and stopped in the middle of my forehead. The hairdresser actually laughed when she realized it was too short and continued to tell me what she felt like she should've done from the beginning. I reached out for a refund multiple times and never received a call back from management. I actually had to come in to follow up and was greeted by a condescending woman at the front desk claiming to be the manager. After having never mentioned such until after I had demanded several times to actually speak to one. The so called manager proceeded to not state her name, offer condolences nor actually be professional by giving me a refund receipt. Was so frustrated my friend ended up calling the salon to speak to a manager directly following this interaction to who which they told her the manager was on lunch and unavailable... the manager had been on lunch the other times I called to follow up that day and was clearly not whoever was claiming to be so at the desk. I ended up having to call Willo Fair Oaks for a receipt and spoke to a "district manager" Lauren. Overall definitely find a better salon ! read more

So, my stylist of many years moved away and I have been hot on the hunt for a new spot. Willow has a name for itself. So I thought. This place, however is such a total disaster. Let start with, the remodel is cheap, just small stations obviously to maximize profit. Zero character. Cheap design. That's not even the worse part. I was offered water, tea, coffee which is the norm. I took water. It was given to me in the smallest plastic cup possible. I hate drinking out of a plastic cup, I'm not a child. Midway through I asked for tea, just black please. Stylist says nothing. I got mint tea. Which is gross but come to find out they just brew a pot of one tea. It was mint. The stylist never even mentioned they only had one kind, even when I asked for black tea. Ok. While processing, a cockroach crawls the floor beneath my feet. I tell her, she gets the front desk, who then gets another stylist to remove said cockroach. I voiced my concerns with her foils, pulling my ends in. I was getting a partial highlight. She dismisses my concerns. Hair turns out warm, golden when I specifically said I did not want warmth. She instructs me to use a purple shampoo after to help with the warmth. Mind you, I have been getting my hair highlighted for years. Never have I went to a salon to be told this to "fix" the stylist job. Then! This is the worst part... I am charged for a toner! And charged for additional product. When in gods name has a toner not been included with a highlight?! Never in my 20+ years of getting highlights. Never! Also, I have short, thin, shoulder length hair. It does not require additional product. Not normally anyway. My healthy hair is now fragile, dry and does not look good at all. A salon treatment is supposed to make a girl feel great! Leaving with beautiful hair she wants to show off for weeks. This is not the case. And I spent $200! I would never recommend this salon nor will I return. This is my honest experience. I have sat on in for days. I can't let this go and not tell you girls. read more

I booked a blowout with Mariela on 03/08. This was my first blowout ever so I wasn't too sure what to expect. I chose the silent appointment option which Mariela did take into account. At some point, I did start a conversation with her since I slowly became comfortable. What I liked was that she didn't force the conversation but let me take lead. My experience was 10/10 overall. I felt relaxed and almost fell asleep during my wash and my hair looked amazing. Experience here with the stylist was not bad at all. But it's the next day, and as I straighten my hair I notice that it's uneven and not exactly textured or layered like I asked. It's unfortunate because it cost me $80, and it is ABSOLUTELY not a $80 cut. As someone struggling right now, that $80 hurt. Now I have to DIY fix it myself. read more

The salon did try to get ahold of me a few times and offered to tone the green out of my hair again for free. When my hair turned green the first time, the salon stylist attempted to remove the green with toner but left several large spots behind. I did appreciate the effort to reach out, however I did not feel comfortable going back. I think balayage is difficult for many stylists and not any one should be allowed to do it. Additionally, the salon needs to keep up with reviewing consultations prior to appointment dates. The consultation information is very important. I think it had potential to be a decent salon, but it needs to be more proactive with its clients and the capabilities of stylists. read more

I unfortunately had a negative experience at this salon. I purchased several Aveda products, and less than 24 hours later, I tried to return one of them. Dulce (the person at the desk) said that I could only return it for store credit. I said okay, I'll come back another time to use the credit, since there's nothing I need right now. She said she could only exchange it and I needed to pick something else right now. Store credit for a future purchase was not possible, nor was a credit back to my card. I asked why and she said that was the store policy. She made no effort to be accommodating or polite. I will not be returning to this salon in the future. read more

It pains me to write this, but I will no longer be going back to Aveda. They have raised their prices through the roof. For a color, highlights and cut, $304!! That simply is unreasonable. Having said that, all of the services by one person, Lira, were great. However, that price tag is out of touch with the economy. I absolutely appreciate having to raise prices due to COVID and was willing to support a reasonable increase. However, this increase is far and above what is reasonable. I know that there are new owners and extensive remodeling. At these prices I simply do not see the clientele sustaining this new business model. So very unfortunate AVEDA. read more
