First impression wasn't happy I walked in at 830 an hour before close and the gal behind the bar was more interested in talking about what's going on in the world more so then helping me. Finally after about 7min of sitting there I flagged someone down to get a menu. I ordered the sosomono salad and wasn't impressed. Supposed to be a cucumber salad and it wasn't, it was just a normal salad with fish dumped on top. However as for the sushi it is great!!! This is not like the average sushi bar found in a random neighborhood. The food here is served fresh and you can tell that they put their hearts in while making. We ordered the sashimi deluxe, six special rolls and a sea bass entree. My favorite was the Dragon king roll, the warm shrimp tempura inside blended with other ingredients so well and added a fun texture to it. I highly recommend it. The sashimi were fresh, specially the salmon. They were one of the freshest I have had in years. If you are not into sushi or sashimi, trying their alcohol drinks is a must. We ordered the new cucumber martini, and also tried the pistachio martini. The cucumber one was very refreshing while the pistachio one was much sweeter. I loved them equally and I would order both again: cucumber martini before food and pistachio martini after to end on a sweet note (Yes, I would gladly become an alcoholic at this place). The host, which I think is the owner, greeted me and made sure I was enjoying my food. How is it even possible to make food so completely bland? I had the fried sole....vegetables were completely raw and unseasoned, the fish was dry dry dry. This place is amazing. I am a visiting chef who comes for business and stay at the Marriott, very close. I just discovered it recently but it is Chinese, Japanese and Thai, in a nice atmosphere, good tunes, nice granite bar, and unbelievable food. Potstickers are best I've ever had, stuffed with a huge pork and other stuff stuffing, seared hard. Tom Yum Soup with seafood was delicious. Highly recommend. Finally, a restaurant to disprove Windsor's reputation - simply, consistently excellent! My wife and I found this gem when they opened in the old China Sea location right off I-91. We have truly enjoyed everything we've tried here and excellent food gets them 4 stars. The fifth star comes from being welcomed by name by the owners, Chris and Susan. Reservations were for 7:00, after waiting for approximately 1 hour finally got seated. In my opinion, worth the long wait.Enjoyed the food, except for Fried Pork Potstickers. They were burnt which gave the pork a different taste. Other than that, everything else was excellent. All the dishes around the table looked delicious. Let me start by saying I've eaten at every Asian restaurant in Windsor, and many in the surrounding towns (and grew up in a major city with a lot of authentic cuisine). This place goes above and beyond. The atmosphere is great whether you want a quiet dinner with a date, or a nice bar to watch the game. The interior is completely new, modern and beautiful. The owner was very welcoming, the wait staff was excellent. We have been several times now and tried many different things. The sushi is excellent, and both times we have ordered from the Thai menu it has been great. This place has the best tofu I have ever had and the vegetables are fresh. This is by far the best Asian food around. Not only is the menu unbelievable but the food is absolutely incredible. The interior design is also outstanding the bar area and sushi bar incredible with very comfortable stools and the lighting fixtures and color scheme truly amazing. The staff really super nice and you just got to try the bistro. Trust me, I eat out a lot due to my job and travels. This restaurant will not disappoint you at all. Although I've seen a few exceptions, I'm usually skeptical of an Asian restaurant if they serve it all - Japanese, Chinese, and Thai food instead of specializing in one kind. I got the shrimp mango curry & drunken noodles to go when I was visiting my grandma this weekend after reading the decent reviews on yelp. I'm from Baltimore/DC area & have had Thai food all my life and this was the worst mango curry ever. I advise you to stay away from that dish. It was bland and mixed with undercooked very raw mangos. So bad! They should offer it as a seasonal item. I also got the drunken noodles because one can never go wrong with that dish and even that didn't impress. But I must say that they did offer generous portions so that was nice. I hope they are better with sushi. read more

Not happy, got some lunch specials today and was very disappointed. The fried rice was so soggy, was all stuck together and one of the chicken dishes we got had bones! my friend almost cut his mouth. My chicken dish had lot of grizzle in it (nasty). The meals have been getting worst I don't think we will be back. read more
