I recently dined here and it was a great experience. Upon arriving, we received a friendly greeting and were seated promptly for dinner. The service was really attentive. I loved my watermelon mojito, which I sipped while grazing the large menu. My friend loved her cucumber martini. Not bad! Went for lunch today. Ordered spicy tuna, spicy salmon and steamed dumplings. The dumplings were amazing. The sauce was great and the flavors were spot on. The sushi was mediocre. I kinda got lost reading this menu as it's one of those asian bistros that serves multiple cultures with emphasis on one or two of them. I mean that's manageable but then I see their hibachi combinations section and vegetables is one of the options for a combination. Doesn't their hibachi come with the vegetables anyway? I just ordered the hibachi chicken and it came with an abundance of vegetables and not 2 but 3 shrimps! Maybe the chicken and vegetable combo just comes with a ridiculous amount of vegetables. Who knows? But to clear it up, the Hibachi Chicken does come with vegetables so no need to panic. I was in love with this huge bento box take-out container thing they blessed me with for my hibachi. Had a spot for everything including my favorite sauce. Noodles and rice together costed a couple dollars extra but that's okay because I got a soup and a salad with it. The Hibachi Chicken with both noodles and rice was enough to feed two people. The only thing I was not impressed with at all was the fried rice if it was even fried. It was dry, way too bland for what it was supposed to be. Not impressed with that. Other than that, my order was done on time and ready for pick-up. I really love sushi and I can eat a lot of it. I decided to try their house salad and it was a great size to start. I tried their spicy girl roll and cucumber roll. The spicy girl roll wasn't spicy to me but it definitely needed more heat but still tasted good. The reason I order cucumber roll because I like to order a simple roll to break up the heaviness of the rolls. My husband ordered their general tso lunch special. It was a pretty good size and it looked super fresh and tasted good. I like that thur chicken wasn't heavily coated in the breading mixture that you can taste the chicken. If I'm ever in this area again I would come and eat more of their yummy sushi. read more

Amazing food and service!!! I went 1 hour before closing and they accommodated me with grace and warmth. The oysters were excellent, sushi delicious and margaritas perfect. I must admit I was incredulous about the ratings but they deserve every star. The staff made the experience amazing, especially for an out of towner on business. 8 minutes away from the office, WAB is pretty consistent Asian fare. They do play into our anxiety as they always say pick up will be ready in 20 min. I mean what can we do for 12 minutes besides watch an endless amount of Tik Tok vida while we wait. The staff at the takeout counter are always cheerful and we grabbed the usual: Windsor Lunch Box: General Tso chicken with brown rice, Shumai, California Roll and soup. The meal comes with Miso soup, but we always uncharged for the Wonton. They're made on site and they're thin and hands down delicious! For $13.55, you'll surely be full and may even have leftovers for a light snack later in the evening. They're definitely worth losing 12 minutes of your life during the work week :-D read more

4.5 stars Went as a party of 5 for dinner on a Sunday was seated immediately. The staff was very nice and friendly and very accommodating to my guests and their questions. Food quality was fresh and dishes were were wroth the price. Portion sizes were good. The restaurant was clean and the atmosphere was bright, neat and inviting. We had a wide array of food from appetizers to vegan options, sushi, noodles, soup and teriyaki. Reason I have a 4 star was because when asked for extra spicy it didn't feel spicy at all and also it took a while for our food to get to our table. Time and time again this restaurant is my favorite!! My family and I had the best experience for my birthday. Our waitress was phenomenal. She remembered us from our last visit and had our drink orders ready. I got sushi - highly recommend the Jalapeno Lover roll - super fresh and spicy. My daughter got rice and my husband got general tso chicken, hot n spicy soup, and an espresso martini. Everything was delicious. I was in Windsor for the night staying at the Marriott for a work event, and this place was super close to my hotel. I got the spicy, tuna Hand Roll, the eel and avocado roll and a Boston roll and everything was extremely delicious. I also got the kani salad I will say it is a bit pricey for the portion size, but everything tasted great. I got takeout and everything was great from the outside. I love finding new places where it's super-easy to drop a quick five star review. We were a little worried because the place wasn't busy, but it was also a little late in the evening, so it was probably after the dinner rush. Also, once inside, I noticed a lot of carry-out traffic. The restaurant is lovely the menu is varied. The sushi looked good, although I didn't order any because I knew I'd eat too much if I did. Ordering is a little different here than at other restaurants of this type. One chooses the protein and then the cooking sauce/style. We both had chicken - Wonder Wife had the Sesame and I had the Szechuan. We ordered Shrimp Fried Rice to split, as well. The plates were well presented - it was clear the kitchen had taken the time to clean the edges of the plates. That's a very nice touch that only takes a few seconds. The food itself was very, very good. The only critical comment I could make is that I was told the Szechuan was very spicy; the waitress even said it would "numb your entire mouth". Well, it didn't. Honestly, it wasn't spicy to me, at all. However, this is a VERY subjective thing and not something to justify knocking off a star. Food: What awesome sushi rolls! The uniqueness did not disappoint! Mine was on FIRE!!! Extra bonus points for that because it was cool! The searing of the tuna for just a minute allowed it to stay raw but gave it a good Smokey flavor, it was pretty epic! My colleague got the Windsor roll which had gold shavings on top...? I mean, I didn't taste them but the rest of the roll was awesome. You could tell that the fish was SUPER fresh, it wasn't gamey or tough at all. Sushi was the bomb, still disappointed that they didn't do anything special to the edamame, but I'll let that slide. Atmosphere: It is a quaint place inside, very cozy and cute. I didn't get a chance to check out the bathrooms, you can tell a lot about the place by how clean they keep the bathroom, so I'll just assume they were okay based on the rest of the review. Service: Our waitress was great, no complaints. Again - a good waiter/waitress knows you're alive but I don't need them to check on me every 5 minutes. Price: As far as sushi goes, this place is not too expensive, given that the fish was epic. I'm from CA, so I'm used to 20$ mediocre sushi. So to get a REALLY good sushi meal for about 30$ is good in my books. Overall: Found a gem in Windsor. I don't think this area is known for its sushi, but sometimes you find a diamond in the rough. Very good sushi rolls. We ordered delivery and they definitely took care of our requests and got the order right. The only concern was how long delivery took. The restaurant is 2 minutes driving distance away and yet it took over an hour to get food. Since we are from out of town, we were unable to drive to pick it up ourselves and we're dependent on delivery. Considering when the order was ready, it's my understanding it's not the delivery driver that was the problem in its entirety. If it is, that's concerning because it means my order was sitting for about 45 minutes which is not good if you're eating raw fish. My order did not seem like it had been sitting that long though- meaning the restaurant was not ready for pick up for quite some time. Something to consider. read more

I've been coming to Windsor for work and had high hopes based on reviews but unfortunately that was unfounded based on my delivery experience. I ordered the egg roll (1/5), seafood tom yum (3/5), eel avocado roll (3/5), and spicy tuna roll (4/5), none of which were anything to write home about but the spicy tuna was definitely above average. With that being said, it was well packaged but poorly executed as they failed to send chopsticks, utensils, and soy sauce, despite it being on my order notes. I've come here a handful of times and haven't been disappointed. The fried rice is the best I've had in years. Their sushi is delicious and fresh. I like that they have lots of different Asian options and not just Japanese or Chinese, you can also get Thai. We had a bad experience at Windsor Asian Bistro. We sat at the bar and ordered food and drinks with the bartender. She mentioned she was leaving. We said we close out with you so you will get the tip. She said she is the manager and doesn't get tips. So when it was time for us to close out the check we didn't tip. We had got to our car when the owner came running out to say we didn't sign our slip and asked why we didn't tip. We said why should we tip a person that doesn't receive tips. A person that doesn't receive tips shouldn't be in server position. If we had tipped the bartender where would the tips go to? read more
