As we walked in there were about 6 parties waiting to be seated, so I approached the bar and had a seat. No acknowledgement from the staff! She was on the phone and could care less. It's frustrating when you find an establishment you like, and visit somewhat often, and then have a not so great experience. It's true, your waitstaff can make or break your experience. Inattentive, slow with no active listening skills is not what you want to encounter. I can understand if the kitchen is behind...it happens. But some acknowledgement can go a long way. I understand if it's busy, things can get lost along the way. But going on a Monday evening, after football season so no chance of MNF, is not exactly a busy time. Simple things, such as bringing the water you order, or waiting for the second person in your party to order their drink before walking off to get the first order can impact the customers overall experience. But why should people who arrived after you, get their food and leave before your food is delivered to your table. I even witnessed an elder couple (maybe 50's) seat themselves, only to leave 15 minutes later because they were not acknowledged. I'm not one to complain to a manager. I refuse to be looked at as a customer trying to get a free meal. And of all times, I probably should have for the bad experience. We choose to come here, and can say..to get our wing "fix" we may go back to wing stop versus driving to have a not so great experience. PS...not speaking ill of the food. Rough start to a fabulous ending. It took 45 mins to get seated although in the last 15 mins tables were available (pics shown). When my husband addressed this with the hostess she said she understood but was told by the waitreses not to seat people because it was hard to keep up. But the place was really winding down so I didn't understand. Then the hostess said go ahead and sit...basically for us to choose our own table. On the way to the table I asked her to send the manager over. As I was looking up their corporate information the manager walked over and I expressed my concerns. He was very apologetic and gave us a free appetizer and even took our drink order himself. He stated that he wanted our night to end on a good note. I have to admit that he delivered on this. Food came out quickly and was delicious! These were the best in bone garlic parmesan wings I've ever had! Crispy on outside, juicy on inside. I also had the Chamango margarita which helped calm my nerves and was also very tasty. If I had any negative comment in regards to food I would say the Sleezeballs (appetizer) were sort of bland as if they needed salt. The idea behind them is great but it's lacking in taste. My suggestion would be to get a good group of waitresses who can keep up and a more upbeat hostess...I mean she is the face of the company when you first enter. She also warned us we would lose our spot in line of we stepped outside and it was body to body inside. Luckily that did not happen. I'm super pleased with this wing place! First off, THANK GOODNESS the south side is growing. My husband loves wings, and we wanted to try something new. Now, the wings were HUGE, and so crispy and had a good amount of taste. The batter is what is seasoned, so it's not just some generic wing coated in a sauce. It's not something that can be easily done at home, which is why I'm so pleased ( unlike some wing places my husband drags me to, and I know I could make the same thing if you gave me a bottle of sauce). We had the bombshells as an appetizer. I had to pull out my 90s slang, bc we both agreed they were da' bomb! They are essentially stuffed jalapeños but they are stuffed with crab/shrimp. First off, the whole place smells like ass and hobo socks. Second off, the customer service is soooo baddd, I received attitude from the BARTENDER and my order took a hour and 30 minutes to come out. Totally understand that covid is happening and that restaurants are trying their very hardest to serve people during this time. Wing Daddy's is a fairly small restaurant but the inside was PACKED so I doubt they were following covid regulations. But we still decided to wait. We signed in and we were 3rd in line. Hostess said they would call us when our table was ready and for us to wait outside. They told us they didn't know how long seating would take but we waited. We waited over an hour and a half for a long table for 6. Being that we were 3rd in line, with the only party over 4 people we assumed we would be next when one of the tables that sat 6 opened up. That happened TWICE And we we still not seated. My party ended up leaving and eating elsewhere. What really pisses me off is that we told no one to take us off the waitlist and NO ONE called us to tell us a table was ready. I wish I can give this zero stars. We just stopped in to grab a bite to eat. We sat down took at least 10 mins before a waiter came to our table. My wife had to final ask her if someone can take our order. So our order is finally taken, once again my wife had to ask if we can get our water we ordered. Management is slacking. Management needs to step up and take care of service. My entire section was complaining about not receiving service. Everyone's bottles and glasses were empty.
