FUN ATMOSPHERE TERRIBLE SERVICE-- Craving a little family friendly place where we could indulge in a little libation, we ended up at Wing Nutz on a Friday night. The atmosphere was awesome! We'd come on karaoke night so that was actually a lot of fun. My kiddos got to see karaoke for the first time ever and we even got in on the fun! That was the saving grace for our experience and this review. The service was terrible. Waters weren't refilled once, the clearly empty appetizer dish sat on the table until the end of the meal when I picked it up and handed it to him. The salsa looked like it had been half consumed but it was good and the chips were the bomb. I would have liked to see them fill it again as it was $4 and came with less chips than the kids nacho. Our food came out in bits and pieces. My buffalo chips were burnt (see pic). I had to wave him down as he was rushing past us to hand him my card so we could pay - never got a bill until he ran the card. (We were there an hour and a half- not like we ate and ran). Other than what was mentioned above, the food was decent. The wings are always good. I got a southwest wrap and it was what I expected. One of the kiddos got a burger of which he promptly devoured and our baby got a kids chicken and cheese nachos (I'm ordering that next time!). All in all- the karaoke saved the day. If you're looking for a bar like atmosphere and you're not in a hurry this is a cute spot. But be prepared for a lackadaisical wait staff and possibly half eaten appy's and ration your water cuz your not getting anymore! read more

Solid spot with BAKED wings, which I absolutely love over the traditional deep-fried. They offer some fantastic local beers, including Zion IPA. The crowd is pretty blue-collared here, but typical wing bar ambiance. This new location offers a really big (covered) patio which they can do a lot with, but haven't yet. Like I said, solid spot when I come here in business to St George... blows Buffalo Wild Wings out of the water... maybe not so much in ambiance, but definitely with food and beer! read more

These folks do fine for a small bar and wings place and the service is decent. The two stars are because they've now added a mandatory "beer buddies" purchase to every drink you order. You pay over $3 for the privilege of ordering a drink. They are basically a small bag if pretzels or peanuts which I never even got. A sign on each table mentions these as being available for purchase, but there is no information saying that these are a mandatory fee upping the price of every drink. Now, these make sense in Utah where a small food order is required to buy alcohol, but you only need one and we had ordered several food items. This means that I'm not ordering alcohol here again until the policy changes. read more

However, one must bake them at high heat for about 40 minutes to render out all of the fat in the skin. These were soggy, fatty, unappetizing wings, really disappointing. In Utah on vacation and saw Wing Nutz online so went to the one in St. George for take out. Was intrigued by their claim of "crispy" wings with no frying. Very disappointed! At 13.99, it was a bit expensive for 7 wings (the Regular) with 2 sauces. The Carolina Mustard sauce was not to my liking and the Honey Jalapeño was just ok. There were plenty of seats to choose from. The place was very clean and well lit. We ordered the chili garlic and traditional (hot) bone in wings. The flavor was good. The wings were baked, but had the crisp skin that I expect from being fried. That's the good. There is no bad, but there are a couple of mediocre things and that's why the four stars. First, we ordered the traditional wings as hot. The chili garlic is listed as mild. Either they got the order messed up or there's very little range on their spiciness. I'd rate both a two on the scale I use. That means I could tell they were supposed to be spicy, but there's little to no heat. I didn't need my water except to rinse between changing flavors. Second... What hot wing places doesn't give out wet wipes? Seriously. Bring your own, plan on doing like we did and soak your napkins in you water, or figure out how to get the bathroom door open without getting it all sticky. Hopefully someone there reads this and figures it out. I do plan on going again and trying more flavors.
