I'm perplexed. I've driven by this place countless times on my way to work and frequent Phillips just down the way. I wanted to try something new and I do enjoy a good wing.  I think the chef/owner is very nice and I'm all for supporting local businesses, but what I got to eat when I visited confused me.   What I got when I went was soggy wings.   Not crispy at all. I've never gotten freshly made to order wings that don't have any kind of crunch or snap to them when you take a bite like they were freshly fried. Especially with a lemon pepper wing which isn't sauced.  I've been to Wing stop, American Deli, Buffalo Wild wings, Bird Box , and even Hot wings café and haven't gotten wings like this. Heck even the Jerk spot's grilled wings had more character than what I got for this 20 piece.  And it confuses me  to no end because it wasn't like the food was sitting for a long time, it was still being sauced and prepared when I arrived.   So how did they get so soggy within minutes of getting boxed? I ate a few in my car in the parking lot which is why I was so perplexed.  I couldn't tell if the wings were freshly prepared or just simply reheated/microwaved due to them being soggy and not crispy.  It was within an hour of closing when I placed the order, but that should be no excuse to put out sub par food.   I actually almost went to wing stop on my way home to get a proper 20 piece. I compare all wings to another favorite spot (alondra hot wings). Trevor's wings have them beat. The surprise came with the flavors variety. The lemon pepper seemed to be everyone's favorite because they went the quickest. We have had office parties with left over food. This was our first time without leftovers. The party conversations ended up being about how good these wings are. I will defiantly be a return customer. I usually don't leave negative reviews but my experience at Wingopolis was extraordinary to say the least. There are an abundance of fliers in Wingopolis urging patrons and customers to keep calm, ensuring there will be a significant wait during high traffic times, and not to act "hangry." At first, I considered these fliers to be put up in jest and paid them not too much attention. That was a bit of a miscalculation on my end. There were 4 customers already in Wingopolis when I arrived who'd let me know they had been waiting for 1/2 an hour. Long story short, regardless of high traffic or not, it's safe to say there will be a wait that isn't normal of a place that primarily serves flash fried food. At face value Trevor, who is the owner of this one-man operation, was friendly and had a larger-than-life personality which at some moments came off as a little intrusive and over zealous. Ultimately, I feel the over zealous friendliness and the over utilization of generic phrases like "peace and love" are an attempt to pacify and mollify customers who are sure to express dissatisfaction with the unusually long wait. At no moment did Trevor verbally acknowledge nor apologize for the wait, he didn't offer to comp me a beverage nor extra fries, in actuality he adamantly refused to acknowledge that the wait was outside of the norm. Instead he argued that a 2-3 hour wait for food is the norm in Inglewood, a sentiment that I'd have to sternly disagree with. Even if that was the norm it would not at all be acceptable. My wings were not at all crispy. The cajun had a good cajun flavor but was hard to eat cause it was overpowered by salt. The sweet and tangy flavor was simply sweet chili sauce, definitely sweet but not very much acidity to make it tangy. Combos don't come with a drink. Portion of fries was small. However, the fries were the highlight of the experience. They were crispy on the outside flaky on the inside just how Trevor described and exactly how I like them. Whole experience took somewhere from 1hr 40min to 2 hours. Trevor, in your response you got the names confused you don't know who did or said what. Never once did I disrespect you, a fact that you yourself agreed on while I was there. That's the last thing I have to say about the issue. read more

The flavor is very unique to Wingopolis, maybe you've had honey bbq flavored wings but I can assure you that you haven't had Wingopolis honey bbq flavored wings. That is true of all of the other flavors that I've tasted so far as well (lemon pepper, hot bbq, etc.). While the food is absolutely delicious, the customer service is even better.
