Fantastic! Great local place with fast service and excellent food, at a great price! We visited from out of town. We usually like to find a local place rather than eat at a chain restaurant. We were thoroughly surprised at how incredible the wings are. Wings are cooked perfectly, sauce is exceptionally flavorful. We had the sweet chili and Parmesan garlic. Only thing, the wings themselves are a little small so you might want to order more than you usually would. But the prices are so great it won't hurt the wallet! It's true, the wings are on the smaller side but they are perfectly crispy and the ranch and blue cheese are both tasty. I've been going here for many years . Everyone is so focused on the size of the wing that they overlook the taste. Theses don't get any better . If you want more chicken order more wings . Simple! My favorite is sweet chili mixed with lava. We usually do Tuesday for the fifty wings for $20. I do 25 in my choice and the wife does 25 in hers usually BBQ or Medium. I waited in the drive thru line for 25 minutes to order some wings at 5:30pm. Keep in mind they are open until 9pm. When I finally made it to the window the woman taking the orders immediately had an attitude. She stared at me until I asked to order some wings. When I stated my order she told me that I couldn't get anything because they were "full." I asked why and she proceeded to yell at me as I was pulling away. EXTREMELY unprofessional service. If they were not accepting orders, then they should be telling customers before having them sit in a line for half an hour and should not have an attitude turning down business. True hole-in-the-wall establishment, but those are the types of places to look for if you want some good, original flavors! No flare on the walls, just booths, tables, chairs dark lighting and people. Straight to the point. Lol. Anyway, I sat at the "bar", which looks like the counter out of a diner. I sat there for about 8 minutes and no one spoke to me. I was basically offended. There was someone behind the bar maybe 10 feet down at the computer taking orders, answering phones and such so she seemed busy, but there was no clear indicator of where I was supposed to go to place a takeout order. Other staff members were going behind the bar and grabbing drinks for customers, but couldn't take 10 seconds to see what I needed? So right before I walked out I went and stood in this "line" that formed at the counter where the girl was taking orders. Apparently that was where I needed to be. Wednesdays they offer 50 wings for $20.00. Sounds ridiculous right? I thought so as well. I got 30 for $15.95 and that was their regular price! I couldn't believe it! Where I reside (CT) wings average about $1.15 per wing. So I was basically in Heaven. You're allowed a different sauce per 10 wings so I went with their Lemon Pepper, Garlic Parmesan and Lava. My favorite of the 3 was the Lemon Pepper. It captured me. It was so different. It wasn't just some basic lemon squeeze and black pepper mixed together. There was so much more involved. The "twang" at the end of each bite was my favorite part. VERY good. Their Lava was quite hot, but not as I expected. Garlic Parmesan was tasty as well, creamy, not just grated cheese and oil like at some places. Now, some of the wings were incredibly small, which made sense given the price. I have heard so much about this place and how good it was....very disappointed. The service was average at best. I can get over the size of the micro wings they serve here but they were so bland, over cooked and were so dry with no trace of sauce. I am a true wing connoisseur and make wings all the time. I'm a culinary student and also work in a restaurant so I know quality when I see it. The server forgot to ring in our fries and seemed very overwhelmed. I've been eating these wings for years. I've heard a lot of people complain about the size of the wings here but I prefer it. You go somewhere like buffalo wild wings or wild wings cafe, they serve you those monstrosities, likely injected with growth hormone, that dont cook all the way through and end up chewy and no good. Bill makes everything in house, from the hot sauce to the ranch and blue cheese. These wings are crispy and I love heating them up the next day. Absolutely rudest manager and worst service I have ever experienced. These wings were Scorched and there was no meat on them. I only ate appetizers two of my friends ate subs ended up with food poisoning throwing up all night!!!! And when I asked them for our check, bc we were waiting over forty mins for it, the lady snapped and said "well we are a little busy and have people we need to take care of" while she had my credit card in her hand still. Got Wings Express for dinner tonight. This has got to be the worst food I have ever ate! My grandson got chicken tenders and French fries (this kid loves fries), he ate one and threw the rest away and this is coming from a five year old! Will never eat there again. I had been looking for fried mushrooms in a lot of eateries. Little did I know that WingsXpress had them, and I just live about a mile from them. They have delicious fried mushrooms! The waitresses always know I want fried mushrooms. They are very friendly. I haven't tried anything else at WingsXpress, but I am sure it is tasty also. read more

Well don't call your order in & believe that you can just drive up and pick it up because it doesn't work that way. Others can pull up, place an order & wait at the window for their order, and hold up the whole line. They dont simply ask them to pull around and wait and then drive back around when order is ready, they let people sit at the window and hold up the entire drive thru. It makes zero sense to operate this way. There is no point in calling an order in. Your food would be sitting and getting cold to accommodate the fools who didnt call their order in. Okay it is a wings places, and beer and sandwiches. I love the wings, they use the Spicy's recipe from Cumberland Avenue back when I was in college late 80's. The wings are small which makes them juicier and sweeter in my opinion, and they are priced accordingly, more for the money since they are small. Beer is cold and cheap, and call ahead orders are ready on time and there is a window to pick them up. It is more for a laid back adult crowd, bikes get the preferred parking out front. Wings xpress is so disgusting. I went here with my family and first of all the service is horrible. Then I noticed 3 different roaches crawling on the floor. When we got our food not only was it cold and we waited over 45 mins for it, but there was hair in it. The bathrooms were also gross, with no soap or toilet paper in it. Also there was cussing from other people very loudly and one man was so drunk he tried to eat the food off our own plates. Please save your money and go somewhere else for wings because this is far from worth it due to sanitary reasons alone!!! read more

The waitress was not attentive and we waited for for EVERYTHING. We waited 45 minutes for food, and then 20 for our check after we were done eating..and she didn't even clear our table, someone else did! Also the wings were so skimpy and I got the oven roasted ones and they were soggy. The side salad was a little iceberg lettuce, some under ripe tomato and literally 2 cups of cheese! Also-no salad dressing except ranch and bleu cheese. The restaurant is dark, dirty, and dingy. The ONLY thing that has saved this place is the spicy corn nuggets, they were good and crunchy. This is the only place this side of 75 within reasonable distance for wings that aren't from a pizza chain. Good luck trying to order carry out when they get busy. I love the wings here - just for the reason other people don't - they are small and crispy. If I wanted a drumstick - that's what I would order - I like the wings small. Anyway, the food isn't the problem - it's the service. Forget going thru the drive thru because it doesn't work and the sign tells you to pull to the window. At the window there are signs that say don't blow your horn or knock on the window - you just wait till someone shows up. Also, if the car in front of you has an order that isn't ready - you will still wait in line behind them (even if yours is ready). You also can't call ahead because if it isn't busy they answer the phone with "Wings Express, please hold" and lay the phone down. Last night I was on hold over 8 minutes and then someone hung up the phone. I called back and was on hold for another 4 minutes before I gave up and we ate someplace else. Maybe they need more employees - at least on Tuesday when they have the wing special. Not much better if you go inside and stand in a line (sort of) - you will be ignored for awhile. One last thing - for some reason if I order inside the price is cheaper than the drive thru. Are they adding a tip or charge or what? We never get a receipt so who knows. The customer service here is HORRIBLE!!! I waited in the drive through for 30 minutes for my food! I get home to my wife and new born and my order is completely wrong!!! I live 30 minutes away and was not going to drive back! I called wing express to let them know about my Oder being completely wrong! Not ONCE did they apologize!! The lady said well bring it back tonight or there is nothing we will do for you! Um no I'm not driving 30 minutes out again wasting my gas and my time with my family because YOU messed up an order I PAYED for!!! These things happen I completely understand that but the least she could have done was APOLOGIES and offer to write my name down for a free meal of the same price the next time I go there!
