This place has pretty good wings. First time having it here in California. I use to go all the time in Florida. I was excited to try the spiciest wings they have. I know in florida they were sooo spicy.. I think they are called Atomic or something like that. I was disappointed because they changed the ingredients and are not that spicy anymore. Today I had gotten food at this Wingstop and I faced the worst customer service in my life from worker Benieo. I had ordered bone-in wings but he wrote it down as boneless wings and when the order came I told them they got my order wrong but he kept on saying that I was at fault and that he can't fix it for me. He was being very disrespectful to me and then said if I wanted bone-in wings I had to pay the difference and charged me $12 when I was only supposed to pay $3 more for the wings. When I confronted him about it he tried to deny it and act like he didn't know what he was doing. Today I came to this location and experienced the worst customer service by "Benieo." He was extremely rude to my friend and I. My friend had ordered 2 10 piece bone in wings. When the order came out both sets of wings were without bone. When we complained about this mistake, Benieo, started blaming my friend, the customer, for this mistake. After over a year of anticipation for this place to open.. finally, Wing Stop has arrived to Montrose. It's a really tiny joint in the back at the top of the hill of the Vons/CVS strip mall where the Texco gas station once laid in the 90s. There's about 8 tables inside with a few flat screens for ESPN. I came around 11 PM on a Wednesday night and it was pretty packed, although it doesn't take much to make it appear so. I got a 6 piece combo w/ fries plus a beer, took about 15-20 min. The beer here is CHEAP. $2.50 for a Bud Light on tap and Stella for $3. When ordering I thought I lucked out and made it for Happy Hour. I was wrong, these are the prices all day! In terms of the food, the fries were awesome and have various seasonings, kinda like Brothers' Pies N' Fries in Old Pasadena which I recommend. Wings have plenty of sauces/rubs to choose from. DOWNSIDE: they are actually pretty small and don't have too much meat on their bones. The boneless wings are a solid option. They have quite a bit of batter that has a good crunch. I think some people might not be into that but I enjoyed them. It will be interesting to see what type of crowds this location brings forth being that they're open til 12AM each day (woohoo!) Overall, this place should do pretty well for dine in and carry out. Try ordering online first if you're in a rush because this place is gonna get busy. PRO TIP: They have a fairly large parking garage underneath that you can enter from the other side of the hill. read more

First time here. Had a coupon for free fries. We ordered the 4 strips of chicken with a side of hickory smoked bbq. She let us try the sauce first since we could not make up our minds. That was really nice of her!! First we tried the Hawaiian which we did not like at all!! Paid only $6.75 and waited for about 10 minutes. A lot of people called in their orders. I was shocked how small it was!! On the outside it looks humongous!! Only 8 tables inside and 2 outside. 2 tv's but no sound which was fine. We will definitely come back to use our other coupon. When here with one of my kids, the guy working the counter got pissed off at every question and request like can I have 5 of each flavor. And I'm like...seriously? Isn't that good that the customer is willing to try out all the stuff on the menu? Buying many many wings? Apparently not. We felt so uncomfortable, we just ordered 3 flavors of their boneless wing, (cheapest on the menu that day). What pissed him off the most was when I asked him for another drink since my drink had black stuff floating in it. Very uncomfortable. If we weren't pressed for time, we would have just left. When we asked for to go boxes after the meal, he rolled his eyes and moved so slow that his comrade working the counter had to get our boxes, only to scrap it on the sign. If I was the manager of this place, I would have a word with employees like this cause this is just stupid for the store and for the franchise. This doesn't make this employee just look bad. Terrible. They are always a hit or miss. Tried them again Oct 29th and once again they were a miss. Last time I purchased boneless wings and tenders and the dry rub was decent but the ones with sauce seemed like an afterthought. Barely any sauce on any. This most recent trip I decided on bone in 20 piece wings. Got home and most were inedible. Some were too dry and some not cooked through. The mild had sauce but not much and the lemon pepper/garlic Parmesan barely had seasoning on them. The 2 tenders I added on were very good and tender but the bone in wings were terrible. I've tried this location 3x and the last 2 times were terrible. Called and spoke to manger to advise and they didn't seem to care. This will be my last time coming to this location. I was able to eat about 6 out of the 20 wings but that was after recooking in air fryer and putting more seasoning on them. Which totally defeated the purpose of spending almost $30 for someone else to cook them. read more

Horrible Service. I placed a delivery order through Wingstops website for scheduled delivery at 3:30. I received a confirmation email and everything. Comes 3:30 No one brought the food to my house. I check my email, at 3:28 I got an email that my orders canceled. I waited an hour and noone showed up to my house. I called wingstop and they said the doordash driver brought the food back because they said my order was fraud. I order pickup every few weeks. This has never happened, first time with delivery. Wingstop said they through away my food also. They could have contacted me earlier that my order was going to be canceled. Change in Owner? Slacker Employees? not sure..... I visited last week with my boyfriend, and when we received our food, my fries were cold. Ice cold. I typically never send back food, even when it is unsatisfactory, but this time I had to make an exception. I asked an employee if they could get me new fries since they were cold, and when I got them back, they were loaded with so much salt that I thought there was Parmesan on them because they were so white. I tried to eat them, but it was an intolerable amount, and was done out of pure pettiness since the staff is visible to the clear glass window, you can see the laughing and snickering at what they're doing to your food. My boyfriend asked if they could remake them since this is in edible food. And they simply stuck them back in the fryer. I even got back cooked fries that I had bit. I called that night asking to speak with a manager, and they told me there is no manager there. I called back a few days later same answer no manager there. Today I was able to speak with the manager and all he was able to do was to blame me for the problem and not even take accountability for this establishment. He was speaking over me, raising his voice at me, blaming me for the problem. I explained to him, my experience, how I have tried to contact the business, and have been unable to speak with a manager and the poor customer service I experienced. But somehow it still fell onto my lap and he wouldn't even listen or apologize for my experience. I asked him if he could take more accountability for his staff, since they seem to be lying to their customers, and to be treating them, their money, and their food with disrespect. I am more unsatisfied with the poor customer service than I am with the food. Nobody should be blamed or be made to feel less than for speaking up, especially a person in a management role should at least have the courtesy to apologize. read more
