I'll start with the fact that I love Wingstop. When I first moved in down the road it became my Sunday routine to get a wing combo for dinner. I've slowly stopped this tradition after some problems with my orders. No seasoning on fries, dry rub wings with barely any seasoning, cold fries, wrong order.... now I only go when I crave it and it's good and I enjoy it. Just got frustrated with the continued problems. I will say that their website is good about taking complaints and trying to make up for the mistakes. The people that work here are very nice, but every time I come in here (even prior to covid) everything takes forever. I truly don't think they take orders in an actual order. My wait time will be a certain time, and I always have to wait at least 20 mins longer than the wait time I was given. They ask several times what my name is, and then say it will only be a couple of minutes longer. I just think management needs to be firmer on getting things done. One time a friend and I ordered food and after waiting double the time we were told, we got the food home and his order was wrong. Our son's little league team has a tradition of going out to grab dinner after early games, but we were in the mood for something different than our usual Steel City Pizza. Someone suggested Wingstop, which was nearby, so we headed on over. We ordered at the counter, and waited for our food. I ordered their original hot wings, wanting to see how their signature wings compared to others I'd enjoyed. The answer: Not very well. The chicken had been obviously precooked, then "spun" in the hot sauce. The flavor was on the surface, and none had infused the crust, let alone the chicken. And the flavor wasn't good. It had a decent amount of heat, but an unpleasant aftertaste. If anything, these wings reminded me of the substandard efforts of KFC's weak venture into the chicken wing market. LOVE Wingstop!! My co-workers and I have ordered from here several times, small and large orders. Only eaten there once, and it was an okay experience.... A co-worker and I went during lunch, but it was a little earlier than the normal lunch crowd. So it was actually pretty dead. The woman who took my order was a little rude. I was in the process of saying I wanted 1/2 Hot and 1/2 Garlic Parmesan, but she was already asking me if I wanted fries or some other side. When I added that part of my order after she was done with her spiel, she said, "Oh, well, you didn't SAY that before," as she put it into the computer. Um yeah...because you cut me off the first time! Don't give ME attitude because you're rushing me! I ordered before my co-worker, but his order came out 5-10 minutes before mine. These wings at this Wingstop location are delicious! I've ordered on a slow Wednesday night, on Super Bowl Sunday, and during the March Madness tourney. It's always been consistently good. I always order Cajun and Louisiana Rub. Cajun is the right amount of spicy without skipping out of flavor. LR is just a tasty rub. Service could be rated at a 3, but it isn't due to rudeness or willingness to serve the customer. It just isn't a 5 star restaurant, so I can't fault them for it. Some soft skills would go a long way though. There are a few employees that provide pleasant experiences. Their speed has alway exceeded my expectations. 14 minutes or less. Draft beers are a $1. This was the most disgusting experience EVER! I ordered a combo for my kids to share and divided it at home. As I was putting their food together noticed they were shorted one wing.....No big deal. However, as they were eating their boneless BBQ wings they were complaining that their wings were too spicy and my daughter kept picking at her tongue. She said she couldn't eat them so I told her to stop. Upon examination of her wings they had been tossed in hot sauce and then in BBQ. I also noticed that there was a hair on one of the wings. As I picked at it, several hairs began to emerge from the sauce. This explains why my daughter was picking at her tongue. I am very disappointed by this experience. It was my first time and my last. I love the wings from wing stop. Since this is the closest location to me I stop in often. The wings are usually good size, cooked well, and I really like their seasonings, especially the seasoning for the fries; I get extra goodness on my pappas. The staff service has always been a problem at this location. They have very few who actually speak to you in a nice, civil, and understandable manner. If the management just offered some customer service front door training it could make a world of difference in how a customer felt when having their order taken. The staff is all task oriented, don't really consider the person standing in front of them.
