We came here for something light after wine tasting across the street at Levendi. The staff was great and super helpful. They were nice and funny as well. The Wagyu Beef Gyoza and crispy rice tuna bites were both amazing. My favorite was definitely the crispy rice. I understand why it's Bobby Flay's go-to now on his show. I changed the salmon out for tuna and it was really great. The sauce was perfect and the crispy rice was perfectly cooked. The gyoza had the best pastry on the outside and the meat inside was great. Was a bit underwhelmed by Eikos. We wanted to get some sushi while in Napa so decided to stop into Eikos for dinner. I had the sashimi appetizer as well as two pieces of Toro Nigiri. The sashimi wasn't bad, but to be honest, the fish was a bit flavorless and I expected a little bit higher quality. The pieces were large though I must say so that was enjoyable. I have to give it to the Toro though - after having the sashimi, I wasn't sure if the Toro Nigiri was going to be great, but it was genuinely very good Toro and I was pleasantly surprised. Service was great. Our waitress was extremely attentive which I really appreciated and although it was a bit slow to get our requests, that wasn't necessarily her fault as the place was overwhelmingly busy. Ambience is cool - the place is huge, which I wasn't expecting but very modern and clean and a good place for a casual not fancy sushi dinner. Overall, I definitely had higher expectations for Eikos, but wouldn't say that it would cause me to never return. I would 100% give Eikos another shot next time I'm in Napa. read more

I gave it another try, sad to say it just got worse !! The Martinis are made with zero skill, but I managed - the sushi however, just bad !! I went to Napa in 2018 so this is an old review I forgot to post. I sure hope their service has improved since then. Our experience was a complete disaster. Ok to start off with food - free edamame with yelp check in was decent. We ordered sake, bunch of sushi rolls: heirloom, Ricardo, Napa valley, Vegas. Also some sashimi, some Cabernet and s'mores for dessert at the end. As for sushi - it was ok. Lots of sauces to cover up the quality of the fish which was mediocre at best. A hostess checked us in, we were sitting at the outside patio area. She said the table is dirty, we'll get it cleaned up if we want. We were kinda puzzled by that comment. Nobody came to wipe the table down anyway. Didn't look messy so we were like ok whatever. Our waiter was semi bald headed who wore a black t-shirt way too tight for his own comfort. So things that went wrong - he kept forgetting the food we ordered. Forgot one sushi roll, we waited 20 mins for it and reminded him multiple times about it. Bad service, took ages, forgot to bring food repeatedly. Served other annoying loud table who were also rude and he ignored us repeatedly for no reason. Seemed like that table he was friends with outside of work. Didn't clean our table. We did nothing to be rude to this waiter. He was just a dbg. Bad service. read more

Well things have gone downhill.We went for lunch today and one of the owners started a Face time call at the bar.She was very loud as was the person on the other end.So we moved outside only for a guest do the same thing.We have had to move a few times in the past as the owners are loud. and do not care about paying guests.The food is great but the owners treat the restaurant as there social club and have many friends over.I guess they own it and it is there call but we will not be back.Napa has so many Restaurants that want your business. read more

Eaten at eikos many times. It's nothing mind blowing but it's an easy spot to stop and grab a quick lunch. Food and service is always good. Mainly leaving this review for the server on Thursday afternoon 4/16 around 5pm. Was walking past the restaurant and saw this obviously intoxicated women screaming at the server cursing him out and demanding 50% off because "the manager is a B *tch" then the man she was with also got riled up, but not at the server, at the woman, and started calling her a "xaned out b*tch" they were screaming about calling the cops lol just leaving this review so management knows that couple was obviously the problem and I hope that server isn't getting any flack for that interaction. Not my favorite sushi place, but it'll do. My dad and I came here while on our Napa trip. He had come once with some other family members and mentioned that it was good. We started with the miso soup which was pretty standard. I will say I wish they used soft or silken tofu as the tofu they used was firm and not my preferred texture with miso soup. We also ordered the seasoned edamame which I don't really recommend. It kind of just tasted like that thai sweet and spicy chili sauce was just drenched on it. Not the best. The Hamachi Bon Bon's were definitely a step up from the other starters. I liked the flavors and the fish seemed pretty fresh. The sauce was quite good. Colorful eye candy and flavorful. The California Roll, however, was deeply disappointing. No flavor at all and they use IMITATION CRAB. They should let the patrons know in advance (inside the menu) they use imitation crab which tasted like sand; very gritty and not good at all. After a long day of wine tastings, we decided to opt for having Eiko's in the Oxbow Market. My boyfriend and I split the sashimi combo for dinner. These cuts were so thick and so succulent, I was in love. Seating is quite limited and our group of six was initially split up until a few other parties left. I wasn't expecting such authentic sushi in Napa Valley, but I'm glad that we stumbled across it after the day we had. They also offer a variety of beverages (e.g coconut water, kombucha) so I grabbed a Harmless Harvest to wash it all down. Even if you don't decide on Eiko's, Oxbow is definitely the place to be if you're journeying to Wine Country. read more

The bartender laughed it off and made of her new one, which we were charged for. My daughter was also served her food a full ten minutes later than everyone else at the table. There was no explanation, no apology, and definitely no one routinely checking on us to see if everything was to our liking. In fact, I had to flag down the hostess to get her to check on the status of my daughter's order. We were routinely travel to Napa from our home base in Sacramento, and always made it a point to stop here for drinks. We walked in at the height of dinner time with a party of 5, no reservations. The host said it was a two hour wait. What he didn't tell us was that there was an adjacent space with a full bar. This could not be seen from the hostess stand. Luckily I walked back to see if we could sit at the sushi bar and discovered the full bar, and was told it was open seating by one of the wait staff. This place received good yelp reviews but honestly, the cocktails were awful. I'll blame it on how busy it was and they agreed to take back a couple of drinks. Been to Eiko's quite a few times and I've been wanting to have that 5 star experience so I could finally leave a great review. To start, very very friendly staff! Our server was great and he had an amazing personality to get us excited for our food. We ordered some Crispy Salmon Bites to start with ($22) and a miso soup (very delicious btw). The salmon bites came out and they were the tiniest things I've we've ever seen. Not saying we were expecting large portions but at least enough to justify the price. If you look closely on the photo, there's barely any salmon on about 3 of the pieces. For our mains, we got the Tsunami and Spider Roll ($22/ea). Flavor on the Spider Roll was fantastic but the torch sear on the Tsunami was almost non-existent which you can zoom in and see on the photo. Also very avocado heavy on top, about 6 of the 9 bites on the photo were mainly avocado topped for a $22 roll. I'm not mad at the pricing since I know they have expenses and all that to consider but just looking for justification on the price of their food since I think it's under par, but that's just my personal opinion. Overall, the service is great, the environment is great, the wine was great, but food has been consistently underwhelming. I had lunch at the sushi bar at Eikos on 7/13 around 11 am. I had been several times and am local. To my dismay, I watched as the sushi chef cut some raw beef tataki (thin beef) on the same cutting board that he prepared my sushi rolls. My guest and I pointed this out to our server and were told that everything was food safe and that no raw beef was kept at the sushi bar. This was obviously not true and we did not appreciate being lied to right before our eyes. We also were told that there not an issue of food contamination, but we beg to differ. Cutting raw beef near sushi is not inherently a violation of the health code, provided the restaurant strictly separates the foods and prevents cross-contamination. However this restaurant used the same cutting board and knives for beef and raw fish. It was only after we spoke to the sushi chef and the waiter that they went to the back kitchen and reemerged and the chef wiped the cutting board down with a rag, changed gloves, and washed the knife. Does this count as proper sanitizing? Not so sure this is best practice- or that this is food safe.... We wanted to address with a manager but were only given their business card and felt like this was experience felt like gaslighting. We did pay our bill in full without any compensation or feeling that this was addressed or taken seriously. In our opinion this business has definitely slipped in quality- and most importantly, concerns of food safety shouldn't be dismissed for patrons. I'm not so sure this business deserves our business. Furthermore... getting GI symptoms and diarrhea about 8 hours after this meal has not felt reassuring at all. Would avoid and take business elsewhere. read more

Last time I was here I called and asked if they could accommodate 11 people and they did so on short notice (it was between lunch and dinner time). Okay here's the elephant in the room... for a party of six it is pricey. But don't let that stop you because we had an absolute good time. The food was delicious and the service was great. The little things that constantly filling our glasses with water goes a long way and is greatly appreciated and the time we waited for our food to arrive not much of a weight. Stop by this place to eat because we are over across from the lab store creating our custom lipsticks. The restaurant was decorated really nicely has a lot of big open space big restaurant hats. We no longer patronize this establishment, my family travel from AC to purchase from Eiko's. This establishment USED to have really good Sushi, the rice is a hit or miss the as well as the sushi, it has become subpar at best. The last visit we didn't get all what was ordered to my dismay once i arrived home, that was just the final straw and for the prices it's not worth me traveling to Napa for Sushi. I can say I have finally found a spot that delivers FRESH AUTHENTIC JAPANESE SUSHI/ FOOD.
