I visited while in town for a basketball tournament and ate with the team and parents. This is definitely a hidden treasure. This was approximately 2 miles away from the casino and the food was GREAT. I got a Philly cheesesteak with fries and wish I would've ordered 2. They serve pizza, wings, and various sandwiches. The service was great, there was plenty of seating and tvs to enjoy sports or other things. There's outside seating for when it's warmer. This is our go to when we visit Cherokee and this time did not disappoint again!! We went for lunch and had great food and service. Wings are ALWAYS great! Good and crispy! The Philly is sooo good! After taking the Great Smoky Mountain Railroad Train, we stopped for late afternoon/ early dinner at Wize Guyz Grille. Arrived not crowded meet with friendly staff eager to explain menu options... very helpful. I decided on the Burger with blue cheese and smoked bacon large fries, husband added a grill chicken sandwich. Had a seat with number for food to brought out. Didn't take long... Was delighted by presentation and freshness. Condiments were on the table for self service. Drinks were self serve as well. The burger was tasty and cooked to perfection as I like (pink middle) . The smoked bacon and blue cheese gave it the right amount of blend and flavor. Also loved the large cut of hot crispy fries. Didn't need salt or ketchup to enhance the taste. I noticed how the runner and floor staff maintained the cleanliness of the tables and reset for the next round of guests as soon as a table finished. We topped off our drinks and as we were leaving the staff thanked us for coming and hope we enjoyed it. Throughly enjoyed our food and experience. So my wife and I headed to Cherokee, NC and we went to the Casino (now we didn't go to gamble...actually we are foodies and wanted to see the different food courts and food choices...just say we were not impressed with the reviews and the wait times!). We decided to try a local establishment and found Wise Guyz. When it has better reviews than the casino restaurants....you know it is good and Yes, it was! The hamburger I had was a fresh patty, the pickle fries were great. Even tried a slice of cheese pizza...it was great! Recommend Wise Guyz....we will be back and will eat the spaghetti next time...from what I saw it looked fabulous! read more

Simply put, it was a pleasure to eat here! We as a family have been traveling from Atlanta to Pigeon Forge for more than a decade and we have passed through Cherokee over a dozen times to eat. I would describe most of our experiences as mediocre AT BEST, and that's being kind. But after seeing the excellent ratings for Wize Guyz we decided to give them a go. BEST.DECISION.EVER! We tried everything from white spinach pizza with grilled chicken to the incredibly tasty OMG BURGER, fish dinner and fried mushrooms. Everything exceeded our expectations, particularly the burgers, mushrooms and cheese sticks. Often restaurant burgers are only seasoned with just a touch of salt, but here you can taste real seasoning all throughout the meat... just like I make them at home. We were so surprised by this that we requested to speak to the owner/chef so we could shake his hand. We wanted to meet him because not only was the food delicious, but the staff seemed so happy and well trained. I know from years of being in management that your staff and the atmosphere thereof is a direct reflection of those in charge and their managerial abilities. It was clear to me his excellence extended well beyond his cooking. [ FINAL THOUGHTS ] They are undoubtedly the best food experience we've ever had in Cherokee and I'm looking forward to our next visit where we plan to try their sister seafood restaurant named 'ALL FRIED UP'. The menu looks incredibly tasty and if they are even half as good as Wize Guyz we will be extremely pleased. What an amazing place! I will say that I have come to Cherokee tons of times.. definitely enough to not expect much out of most of the restaurants there. No I'm not trying to be too critical but as I am of the nation.. I feel like I have a little bit more invested than just a typical tourist. My wife found this place and offered it up with me not having too high of an expectation. When we walked in we were very nicely greeted by the young lady at the register named Charity. She immediately complimented my wife on her hair and her makeup as well as projected such a top-notch customer service attitude. She was very joyful and made sure that she cut full as well as recommended a dish (Fajita Sub) that my wife found very delightful. Also their price for a dozen chicken wings was definitely impressive since most places that I know charge at least $4 more. The flavors that I got for the wings were very tasteful in the wings were a substantial size for the price. Since I am a buff for sweet tea there's hit the spot! I will definitely push anyone going to this establishment anytime I can and look forward to returning when we come back! read more

This is the best value in Cherokee. I went due to the number of good reviews on Yelp. I had the OMG burger, onion rings and a drink and it was an incredible amount of food! Service was excellent and my food came out fast and piping hot. The OMG burger was so over the top as it had the kitchen sink included with two patties and a fried egg. Tried this place while vacationing. The place looked clean. Our order was taken quickly. Covid safety is definitely adhered in this entire shopping center, the whole town matter of fact. The food came fast . My husband said they were the best Lemon pepper wings he had ever had. That says a lot because my husband eat wings often. This is a nice local restaurant in Cherokee. Stopped by for lunch today and got the 2 pizza slices and drink special for 7 bucks. Actually the pizza came out as a whole medium pizza (pictured). Maybe the guy thought I was hungry after hiking. In any case it was really good. The crust was slightly burnt on the edges which gave it nice contrast to the rest, which is how I like it. Pizza took awhile to get, but that was because they were making it fresh. That type of wait is fine by me. Super friendly staff. Basically you order at the counter and grab a seat, I sat at one of the high top tables. Huge parking lot out front. The hike I mentioned. Cross the street in front of the restaurant and cross the river on the pedestrian ONLY bridge. This is the start of the River trail. It is 1.5 flat miles to the visitors center. So 3 miles round-trip if you do the whole thing, but you can turn around anytime. Forgot to mention they have burgers too, but at this time I am sold in the great pizza! read more

What a wonderful surprise! Recommended by staff at our hotel. We first went there after a very disappointing meal elsewhere (see review for Granny's). Wize Guys is tucked away in a corner and very non assuming but again, a great surprise. We ordered two large pizzas not realizing their larges are a whopping 18"! Very very reasonable prices. Went back for lunch the next day and had burgers, fries, wings and ultimate nachos. The burgers are real burgers. Cooked just right! They have a large selection of burgers too, many different toppings. A basket of fries fed 4 of us and we had enough left to feed us again. And they're excellent. The nachos were huge. Must have weighed 3 lbs or more. I wish I had taken pics of the pizza, wings and burgers but I didn't. This is the perfect spot for a good, reasonable meal. They also have pastas, (no lasagna unfortunately) lots of appetizers, and many pizza varieties. Overall a winner for sure. read more

Picked up an order to go while camping in the area. The service and hospitality were excellent. It was clear that the staff in the front of the house was well-coached and worked well together. While I was waiting the young lady, Kyra, who took our order, came by several times to check on me and let me know how much longer she expected my order to be. The sanitation rating was excellent and looking around while waiting on my order, they kept the place clean and continued to freshen up regularly. While the food was also excellent, the only concern came from the kitchen, in watching them work, the fry cook wasn't keeping up with the other kitchen staff and people who were waiting for wings, fries, etc had their other food stacked in the window while they were catching up. With a small amount of correction, I would certainly call it a 5! Overall, it was a great experience and I would dine there again! read more

Many of the surrounding shops have closed and this restaurant is off the main drag in Cherokee but definitely worth going out of the way for. The pizza is excellent, especially the veggie. The home made potato chips are divine. You can't go wrong with the burger, chicken fajitas sandwich, or the Philly Cheese Steak. This place was on our route all week to and from the KOA Holiday in Cherokee, and after cooking all week, we wanted to stop by and get a pizza. Nothing but teenagers running the place and socializing with each other. Our "garden salad" was fluffy lettuce (not sure what kind) some red onion, a couple cherry tomatoes and a sparse sprinkling of cheese. We asked for Honey Mustard, but received Ranch, went to get the correct dressing and was given "dipping sauce". Very hard to use as a dressing. The pizza was a "Supreme", NOT hot, no sauce (even though I asked for light sauce), and was not even crispy. Well undercooked. The KOA had mentioned Wize Guyz, but now they will not recommend them to the campers any more after the number of issues campers and staff have had over the past month. We eat here 1-2 times a week because it is so close to our home. The staff is very polite and friendly. But about every third time we order, the order is wrong. It has become aggravating. Most of what we have ordered from here has been good food. With the exception of our last order. Wow! It was Horrible!!! We ordered a pizza for the first time from here and for the last time. It was a BBQ chicken pizza. Hardly any BBQ flavor and barely any chicken. The crust was rubbery and difficult to chew. I could have bought a frozen pizza from the grocery store and not only would it have been considerably cheaper but would have tasted A LOT better. Also, ordered mozzarella sticks. Never again. They were microwaved, there was more cheese in the to go plate than in the cheese stick. Very disappointed in this order. Wize Guyz in Cherokee, NC is located as soon as you exit Great Smokey National Park the on the North Carolina side. Cherokee is a very small town and there did not seem to be many options for a lunch/rest stop but Wise Guyz was a great choice. For a place in the middle of nowhere the food was respectable. We ordered Philly Cheese Sandwiches, Pizza, and Wings. Yes, junk food heaven! The boys. Loved the Philly cheese sandwiches. The wings were very crispy with nice lemon pepper and Parmesan garlic flavorings. The pizza pizza had good taste but the crust was soggy. The best part about the restaurant was the staff.....so friendly and helpful! Wise Guyz had WiFi but we still could not get service. We needed help with directions and the gentleman there got online to help us with directions. Definitely had to upgrade due to all the time they took to help us. If it was not for the staff at Wise Guyz, who knows where we would have ended up? read more
