I happened to be in the area so I called in my order to go for lunch. The owner, Bruce, answered the phone and greeted me by name! I was so surprise! Wok-in's wonton soup is so good, I can't stop ordering it. They make their broth for hours or overnight with bones, and you can feel & taste the collagen when you sip the flavorful soup. Liquid gold!! They also add fried garlic which kicks this soup up 10 notches! This might be the best wonton soup I've ever had, no joke. Their dumplings are a generous size and full of flavor. The egg noodles are bouncy and chewy, not mushy. Instead of ordering the limeade, I got the freshly squeezed lemonade, which was so refreshing. Trader Joe's lemonade has nothing on this! The portion is a generous size, enough for my step daughter and I to share for lunch. I wished I lived closer so I could come here more often. And as usual, the owner Bruce has befriended all of the regulars that come in. When I arrived, an Amazon guy or mailman, stopped in to drop something off and Bruce asked if he wanted anything. Had the pleasure of trying this place recently. The portions are great and the restaurant makes you feel at home, especially with Bruce, who I presume to be the owner, being so social. I wasn't sure what to order, but he took the time to ask about my flavor preferences and recommended a dish that ended up being perfect for me. That level of personalized service made a big difference. We got the Singaporean style vermicelli and the popcorn chicken. The popcorn chicken was juicy and well seasoned and the vermicelli had a fantastic unique blend of curry-like spices that I had not tried before. A few weeks back I was under the weather and looking for a "new" spot to get some soup. This place stood out and Im glad it did. Lots of parking around the place, I was seated fast got me a soup and hot tea. LIFE SAVER. I got the house wonton noodle soup and it was loaded too. Great noodles lots of flavor. I dont normally do hot tea at lunch or with my hot soup normally, but that day it was needed and both very good. Stumbled upon this place while driving up to Huntington Beach on a Saturday afternoon and it's a small mom and pop shop off the 405. We got there around 2pm and we were the only customers. The portion sizes here are HUUUGE!!! For a party of 3 we family styled it and ordered 2 Vermicelli Bowls (with Pork, Shrimp, Eggrolls), Popcorn Chicken, and Spring Rolls (Pork and Shrimp). This was wayyy too much food, we finished 1.5 of the vermicelli bowls, the spring rolls, and we actually ended up barely touching the popcorn chicken and taking it to-go. All this food plus 2 Vietnamese Coffees, and 1 Lemon Drink was under $100 including tax and tip. That's nuts and unheard of these days. The food was OK. It wasn't bad but it wasn't great. I probably won't come again, but the people were very friendly. I would say like for the beef dishes. The beef just wasn't fresh and my friend had a fish dish, but the calamari wasn't fresh like the beef is super dry and it looks like it's kind of like has a lot of preservatives in it. A locals gem and a true staple of the community. Best broth in Orange County and enough cannot be said to show how clean this place is. The place is a piece of home where the owner remembers who you are and always makes an effort to make you feel comfortable.....in the middle of summer we've been here twice in one week...if that doesn't say enough. The pho is the reason we come, but the aero dynamic fashion and hygiene of the owner is why we stay. Tucked in a corner of an old strip mall, lies Wok-in. Shared parking lot. We got here on a weekday for lunch around 1230pm and was able to get table for 2. Service was slow and hard to get attention. The place was not packed however there were to-go orders being processed at the same time. We ordered spring rolls (you can request to modify the ingredients), pho and fish in garlic sauce (a few reads from yelp reviews mentioned this dish). But it was overpowering with too much sauce. However in my experience it was ok, nothing extraordinary. What I loved was the pho broth. Protein was less but the flavor was amazing. The fresh spring rolls were a delight with the dipping sauce. Perfect crunch to it. I wasn't a fan of the slow service and the fact that the server/cashier/food runner (all are the same person) was wearing a sleeveless outfit while rushing around. Just not hygienic. Update: You can run all the show you want but if your attitude towards hygienics is less important then I will choose to be comfortable else where. Update. I have coarse curly hair. There was short straight hair in my food. Check your cameras when I literally had to pull the hair out of my throat. Your response is a perfect example of your customer service. I wasn't done eating we were about to order more food. I have doctor diagnoses and pictures to prove my experience. WORSE EXPERIENCE!!!! First when I was there I found a piece of hair in my PHO. Then when I told the waiter, he was nothing short of rude and hostile. The Hot & Sour Soup had a great spicy taste and comes in a very large (meal size) bowl. I ordered a side of Spring Rolls and Chicken Lo Mein for the entree. First, the gentleman that waits tables, really hustles. There was almost a full house and he had it all covered. They have a good choice of entrees. A lot of soups. I was a little under the weather and that's when I go for pho. I ordered the seafood pho. It was a decent amount of fish. Unfortunately, what I wanted was a big bowl of soup. Really great pho!! Also served in a big bowl with a generous amount of noodles and meat, I wasn't able to finish my bowl even though I wanted to keep going because it tasted so good. The person working there was very nice, brought us water, and gave us time to look over the menu since we got distracted talking. We also ordered garlic fries, which were good too. The pho was the star though, I got the one with rare steak, brisket, and tendon. I want to come back and try their other dishes! It's located right off the freeway and had its own lot. We ordered from WOK-IN for the first time yesterday and it was amazing! This immediately became our go-to place. The young man who helped me (Bruce, I believe - my apologies if I'm wrong!) on the phone and once I arrived, went above and beyond to help me. We ordered spring rolls, Mongolian beef, garlic noodles w beef, a steamed chicken teriyaki bowl, and spicy garlic tofu. Everything was PERFECT. I didn't take any pics because we were just so hungry. First and foremost I want to thank the owner for being so amazing and accommodating for a large group of 11 people. We celebrated a coworkers birthday lunch here and the experience was GREAT! One of my coworkers placed all our orders about 20ish minutes before our arrival and it made the process a lot smoother. This was a great space for us to laugh and just catch up on life outside the office. Two of my coworkers constantly come here and know we all know why. Food was absolutely delicious, I wish I would have taken pictures of everyone's order as well as the appetizers ordered for the table. I ordered orange chicken and white rice - 10/10! I think I found a new obsession. Egg rolls were so good and crispy. Also, the portions ... AMAZING. You can certainly share a plate.
