Got takeout here! Tried the honey walnut shrimp, mango chicken, war wonton soup (super fresh wontons with bok choy), beef and broccoli and more! Everything was great and food was ready on time. Only note is the mango chicken and honey walnut shrimp are very similar sauce. Both delicious but if you are looking for options next time will be trying the orange chicken!

I was introduced to this play by a coworker a few years back. Been coming by for lunch ever since. The portion of food is crazy large. I've brought other coworkers here and many of them will have to tap out and bring their lunch home. I am totally a creature of habit and the owner knows it too...when my coworker and I stop by for pho Friday he already knows what we wanted. Pho Dac Biet with some egg rolls. Friendly service and great food. Can't beat that combination.

Stumbled upon this place while driving up to Huntington Beach on a Saturday afternoon and it's a small mom and pop shop off the 405. We got there around 2pm and we were the only customers. The portion sizes here are HUUUGE!!! For a party of 3 we family styled it and ordered 2 Vermicelli Bowls (with Pork, Shrimp, Eggrolls), Popcorn Chicken, and Spring Rolls (Pork and Shrimp). This was wayyy too much food, we finished 1.5 of the vermicelli bowls, the spring rolls, and we actually ended up barely touching the popcorn chicken and taking it to-go. All this food plus 2 Vietnamese Coffees, and 1 Lemon Drink was under $100 including tax and tip. That's nuts and unheard of these days. Highly recommend this place, it's a great place to get a solid meal for cheap!

Good was delicious. Was craving Honey Walnut Shrimp and searched Yelp and found this place. Owner was nice and friendly easy to have conversations with. Food was amazing and quick serving. We ordered Spring Rolls (the peanut sauce is flavorful and delicious), Honey Walnut Shrimp and Shrimp fried rice. Honey walnut shrimp was amazing and crunchy. Made fresh. Shrimp fried rice was delectable. Took leftovers home and added an egg for breakfast the next day. Win! Win

A locals gem and a true staple of the community. Best broth in Orange County and enough cannot be said to show how clean this place is. The place is a piece of home where the owner remembers who you are and always makes an effort to make you feel comfortable.....in the middle of summer we've been here twice in one week...if that doesn't say enough. The pho is the reason we come, but the aero dynamic fashion and hygiene of the owner is why we stay. Man is quick with it from the kitchen and offers awesome service while also ready for a workout at any time. We will continue to be coming to wok-in as one of our regular staples and appreciate the detail that is taken to keep this place spotless and delicious.

Tucked in a corner of an old strip mall, lies Wok-in. Shared parking lot. We got here on a weekday for lunch around 1230pm and was able to get table for 2. Service was slow and hard to get attention. The place was not packed however there were to-go orders being processed at the same time. We ordered spring rolls (you can request to modify the ingredients), pho and fish in garlic sauce (a few reads from yelp reviews mentioned this dish). But it was overpowering with too much sauce. However in my experience it was ok, nothing extraordinary. What I loved was the pho broth. Protein was less but the flavor was amazing. The fresh spring rolls were a delight with the dipping sauce. Perfect crunch to it. I wasn't a fan of the slow service and the fact that the server/cashier/food runner (all are the same person) was wearing a sleeveless outfit while rushing around. Just not hygienic. Update: You can run all the show you want but if your attitude towards hygienics is less important then I will choose to be comfortable else where. This is based on the business reply I received.

Update. I have coarse curly hair. There was short straight hair in my food. Check your cameras when I literally had to pull the hair out of my throat. Your response is a perfect example of your customer service. I wasn't done eating we were about to order more food. I have doctor diagnoses and pictures to prove my experience. WORSE EXPERIENCE!!!! First when I was there I found a piece of hair in my PHO. Then when I told the waiter, he was nothing short of rude and hostile. Then the worst part is my poor son ended up with food poisoning from this place. He lost 10 lbs in the last 5 days. I will never come back here again.

Super affordable and good Viet food! Pho: didn't get a picture but I can never finish it. Bowls are huge, packed with noodles and meat so you never leave hungry Seafood fried rice: not too oily, delicious. They don't cheap out on the shrimp Special fish fillet: omg so good! Deep fried fish with this.... Pepper, black bean sauce. Really good! Comes with rice. Spring roll ( goi cuon): comes with shrimp and Cha ( Vietnamese sausage). I was craving this dish for a while now. Its a hard one to find. Singapore Rice Noodles. Its one of my favorite dishes. After calling many places i found these guys have it. I came through and ordered it with chicken instead of the shrimp and pork. Took a few minutes and i was in my car enjoying it. Amazing. If you have never had it give it a try. I think you will enjoy it as much as i do. read more

Cute little hidden gem where you get friendly and quick service! I stopped by today to pick up a togo order and was happy with everything! I loved the spring rolls and they are such a great price!! I got a soup and shrimp and broccoli to go today! The weight and way the soup was put on top of the styrofoam container smashed the container so it leaked the sauce all over the top of the to go bag. And when I tasted the hot and sour soup I realized they put too much vinegar in this batch of soup so instead of it being hot and sour, it was just S O U R soup! It's not cheap either so I am not a happy customer at all! The owner's sarcastic response says it all for me. I can't say I know more than the owner because I don't know what he knows. But I can say my favorite city to visit is Hong Kong and I've been there 4 times, as well as Shanghai, Singapore and Ningbo China and am a big fan of the food in all of those cities so I do have a degree of an acquired taste. But to each his own. Obviously you have other customers who love your food! read more

This place is awesome! There are so many excellent dishes from which to choose. I got the brisket pho and it was off the charts. And the portion was HUGE! It was definitely enough for two people. Bruce the owner is there to greet you and be an overall excellent host. The place is super clean with regulars coming in nonstop. Bruce knows everyone by name and takes the time to chat with his people. Wonderful food and excellent atmosphere. Highly recommend! read more

This place is great! I lived in Arcadia before and was missing authentic Vietnamese Chinese food. I tried multiple pho spots in Irvine and none hit the spot. Finally I decided to try this place since I normally drive past in on the way back from the beach. I am so glad I gave it a chance. The pho is amazing! So is the Chinese noodle soup and egg rolls. It is now my go to place for pho and soup. The service is good. It seems to be a mom and pop shop. The ambiance is very Asian and family owned with multiple fish tanks. Definitely try it! read more

My husband and I have been ordering takeout here for so long that we just call it "Bruce's." As in, "You wanna get pho from Bruce's?" Like many here have said, Bruce is the backbone of this business. It's nice to have someone in the neighborhood who is friendly and remembers you. Their food is fantastic - my husband always gets the pho and I get the vermicelli. The egg rolls are legendary, and the Mongolian Beef is perfect every time. It's just excellent Asian takeout. Keep it up, Bruce! read more

Went here on a lunch with my coworkers and tried the house special fish fillet. Was pleasantly surprised. It was lightly battered had tender and juicy mild-flavored fish and covered with a sweet and savory sauce served with a large scoop of rice. Some jalapeños for kick and I was in love. The portion was big enough for me to have fish leftover. My girlfriend tried my leftovers and enjoyed them as much as I did. This was made to order. I believe they also have what Filipinos like to call "point point" during lunch. Think Panda Express. I will have to check that out some day. My coworkers had pho and wonton soup. They were large portions. I tried the pho and the broth was delicious. UPDATE: My girlfriend and I can't stop going here. She loves all their soups: wonton noodle, pho #7. As Bruce said they give Quality & Quantity and he is truthful. We have been doing takeout quite often these past few weeks and have tried the tasty Beef Chow Fun (3) times, Pork & Vietnamese roll bun along with Vietnamese roll wrap all were very good as usual. I have gotten the bun enough times I always ask for an extra cup of fish sauce that come with the bun because they give so much in the carton (1) sauce is not enough. One time I went back to back days and saw the same business guy with his partner there two days in a row also. Every food item we have gotten has been tasty. Please support their business as Bruce is supper nice as well as his parents. Enjoy. read more

I'm new to the area for work and was in the mood for Chinese food. The food here is soooooo fresh! I ordered the beef chow fun and OMG!!! The beef is the best I've ever had! Not like the tough thin cheap kinds I've always had at other places. My daughter order the orange chicken and white rice. Her food was also super fresh and the chicken was so light and crunchy! I have been telling all my clients to come eat her after their appointments. I will definitely become a regular! read more

Great little hidden gem of a restaurant. Friendly family of owners and great food. This is one of the few restaurants with grilled meat and vermicelli ( bun thit nuong) that I can eat. Pho is pretty good too. Bruce is a great restaurateur and always made me feel welcomed every time I come in. 4 stars for pho and two stars for the entrees. They have good pho here. Only wish that I get a little more broth. We also tried filet mignon in butter sauce. The beef didn't taste fresh. Tasted like a day shy of going bad. Kung Pao chicken was okay. We ordered 6 entrees in all and they pretty much had the same sauce and way too much zucchini and not enough of the main ingredient, whether it's chicken, beef, or shrimp. Btw, they used previously cooked cocktail shrimp and by the time the dish is prepared, they were way too overcooked. I would probably only come here for pho. read more

Yesterday was a rainy day and seemed perfect for Pho. I had driven past Wok-In many times but this was my first time having the Pho. I ordered online and took it home. My friends and I started coming here when we moved to east side costa mesa & It's one of our go-to spots now! Bruce is the freaking best, he cares about you like family and always gives great recommendations when you're not sure what to get. The Pho is some of the best I've had, the broth is very flavorful. We also love the hot & sour soup, mango chicken, honey walnut shrimp, spring/fresh rolls, & noodles with curry sauce- I forget what they're called. Everything is delicious and I love how there is both chinese & vietnamese options for days when I can't decided if I want pho or orange chicken- I can have both! read more

These folks know how to treat their customers right! Friendly and welcoming environment where they offered samples and made good recommendations. Egg rolls were on point! We were advised how to eat them - wrap in the lettuce and mint that came with it then dip in sauce - delish! Had never had egg rolls this way and looking forward to trying it again. We tried the egg noodle soup with won ton and veggies. We were taking our food to go and they were nice enough to pack the soup desperate from the noodles so it didn't get soggy. Check these folks out ... Right off the 55 and lots of parking. read more

I was more let down by the lack of flavor in their grilled cheese, the spicy kraut was neither spicy and just didn't really add much aside from texture. The chili on the other hand was delicious so that partially redeemed the meal for me. My boyfriend got their bone broth which was very very light and needed additional seasoning though. While I love what they're trying to build here, I'm not sure if I'd go back.

Worst place ever!!!!!!! I went here about a week ago with my boyfriend. We sat down and ordered water and a lemonade one lady brought two waters and walked away. I looked at the waters and the cups were dirty and the water was warm with stuff floating inside of it. Two more people walked past us and didn't even notice us then we asked for the lemonade again and it was never brought to us so we asked a third person and finally was brought to us and it was water with lemonade powered settled at the bottom and tasted like just powder. Then we ordered the steak and chicken fried rice and egg rolls the egg rolls were reallllllllly good !! So I got excited and took a bite of rice and it had no taste at all then we got the meat and it was 99% raw. I told the guy up front we weren't happy and he looked at me and said "ok cool" and then he ignored me from then on so we left with out paying. Would not recommend at all!!! This is a great little spot to get delicious Chinese or Vietnamese food. They have a great selection of foods, appetizers, pho, and the Chinese takey outey favorites. I had the shrimp fried rice, fresh spring rolls, and thai tea. No complaints. The whole to go box was full of rice and they weren't skimping on the shrimp. The price is about the same as other places. Also what is great about this place is the service. We were greeted right away and menus were offered after we were asked if the order would be to go. We did have it to go so, no experience of eating inside the dining area. It looked clean though. After we ordered, the food came out very quickly. We waited about 10 minutes. The gentleman behind the counter, I believe his name was Bruce, helped me with bringing the bags and drinks to the car. Ain't this place a hidden gem. I have been here countless amount of times in the last few years and it never disappoints. The go to is always the aromatic Pho that they so perfectly craft. Other than that, the beef chow fun, Singapore, and their special vermicelli is a must have on any occasion. Sometimes we like to venture towards more traditional stuff like the Kungpao chicken and walnut shrimp. Probably the best and affordable Walnut shrimp you will find in the area. The shrimps are a decent size, perfectly fried and not too sweet! Service is always on point and they always treat you like family. This is a hidden gem, and I am finally sharing it with everyone. The orange chicken has a light batter on it and crisped to perfection. The orange sauce has specs of orange, and has the perfect amount of sweet v. tangy, it will make your mouth water. The chicken lo mein (we get it with the garlic sauce) is amazing!! Not pictured but worth the splurge, the house fried rice. It has so much meat, it is totally worth it. For the kids and adults, you have to try the garlic fries.
