We FINALLY found a Chinese restaurant in the East Valley that we'll visit again and again! The owners treat you like family and the food speaks for itself - authentic! I had the chicken lo mein and my husband had General Tsao's. Lunch portions were very generous and service was impeccable. We will make this our Go To Chinese restaurant in Gilbert! My husband and I had been craving some old school Chinese takeout, and this hit the spot!. We ordered the Sesame chicken and General Tso's ( the entrees came with white rice). My mom asked to go here because she read an article in the Chinese newspaper about the different and unique items they offered, namely chickens' feet and an entire steamed chicken with ginger scallion sauce. We got there and the owner didn't even know about the article until my mom showed him. The items are not offered on a published menu, but she was able to order them. What a disappointment! The chicken feet tasted meh, not flavorful at all. The steamed chicken and sauce were excruciatingly salty, so much that we couldn't finish it, even with rice! My husband has high blood pressure and after eating there, he swelled up alarmingly from all that sodium. I hope they're more careful with their seasoning. I won't eat here again unless I hear they've changed drastically for the better. read more

This place has the best Kong pao chicken! The sauce was so good and thick it had lots of flavor with out it being overwhelming or too salty it had its own unique flavor. Sometime you'll go to Chinese restaurants and all the sauces on the food taste the same! But not this place each dish had its own flavor I orders the king pao and my husband ordered the teriyaki chicken that was amazing too and I don't even like teriyaki! It had a kinda Smokey but sweet flavor and the potions! Oh my the portions were generous! The right amount of protein to veggie ratio not like other places where you can't even find your chicken. They do give you rice and noodle with your meal that was a little upsetting that they gave you small Amount for two people but at the end I was glad cause I was so full! DEEEEE-licious!!! We decided to give Wok with Ming a shot tonight, craving something we hadn't tried before. I'm weird about Asian food; sometimes I love it and sometimes I hate it...there is no in between. So to be sure I got at least one thing I would like, we ordered a bit of everything: Mings Special Eggrolls, veggie spring rolls, salt and pepper green beans, hot and sour soup, sautéed veggies, orange chicken, and sweet and sour chicken. WE HIT THE MOTHERLOAD! It was all so delicious. Let's start w the apps...the egg rolls are HUGE, and they're filled w cabbage, celery, beef, and flavor! The outside is so crunchy and they are amazing! The veggie spring rolls are also nice, good flavor there. The hot and sour soup is really yummy, with bamboo shoots, tofu, mushrooms, egg, and just enough spice to know it's there. It's a thinner version than I'm used to but very good. The green beans were interesting...of all the things I tried, they were my least favorite, but only because I was not expecting the flavor. It says salt and pepper, but I think there was also a (lot) of some hidden spice (5 spice? Nutmeg? Cinnamon?) on them and it was a strong flavor. The orange chicken was really delicious; the chicken is white meat, tempura fried and the orange sauce is yummy. Same w the sweet and sour, with large chunks of pineapple and bell pepper. Both come w a side of white rice. To say we have leftovers is an understatement but I'm glad, because it was all good enough to eat two days in a row! Food was horrible, service was horrible. I asked if they allow dine in and she said - well if you're eating here you have to clean your own table. The place is rundown and looks really dirty inside. Ordered to go anyway given that there were such good reviews. I ordered simple - chicken with vegetables. The chicken was way over done, almost like reheated multiple times today. The sauce was way too salty. We also got an order of chicken lo mein, which was not edible. The noodles tasted like they were reheated as well. Even the white rice was hard. Wok with Ming has quickly become our go-to restaurant for takeout. The staff is very friendly, quick to put together orders, and online ordering is a breeze. Our go-to order for two is garlic beef and orange chicken, but make sure to get an extra side of rice for the leftovers because the portions are huge. This Chinese restaurant was simply incredible. The service was very professional and positive. The food was nothing short of extraordinary. My family and I had the hot and sour soup, the wonton soup, sesame chicken, orange chicken, and beef and broccoli specials. We also enjoyed the shrimp fried rice. We moved from Gilbert (Neely Ranch neighborhood) 8 months ago and have yet to find a Chinese food place we like as much as Wok with Ming. Our favorites are sesame chicken and beef lo mein but all of the dishes we had were excellent. We sometimes still make the one hour round trip to enjoy their delicious cuisine. Note that this is take out only, just the perfect little "hole in the wall" you hope to find and are usually the best places. read more

The food was still very hot and the gravy w/instructions on top to pour over the two mounds of egg patties. would be 5 stars but there were a bit too many onions in the egg. Just got takeout from them. General Tso's chicken is poor quality, taste like it was microwaved. The sesame chicken's sauce just taste like sticky vinegar. The lo mein noodles are limp, as if they are old. I would not recommend this place. They even forgot to give us our full order and we had to go back. This was after we ordered online, which said it would be ready in twenty minutes... when we arrived on time they didn't even start our order yet. Go to Hot Wok instead! read more

This is one of my favorite places for Asian cuisine- the extra large egg rolls are ah-freaking-mazing. The service was good, and prices were okay as the portions are pretty good size. Fried rice, yep, nailed that as well. The wife and I had been regulars at a different restaurant closer to home, but their quality started to drop. We were worried we wouldn't find another Chinese food restaurant within normal distance that we could frequent. Thankfully, we found that place in Wok with Ming!!! VERY GOOD FOOD! I only know of one good Chinese place and that's in Phoenix. I am so happy to have found this place. The Mongolian beef was just as I remember it tasting when I was a little kid and we would go to the Phoenix restaurant. I did a pick up and after driving away I got a call and it was the business apologizing and telling me they had forgotten to add a sauce for the orange chicken in my to-go bag. I turned around to go pick it up and they were so kind and even gave me a free order of the Crab Puffs (which I love!) I love their sizzling rice soup and orange chicken.
