A new addition to the Collierville dining scene. My son and I came here on Cinco de Mayo, and they were having Margarita specials (natch), so I ordered one. It was rimmed with smoked sea salt and was one of the best margaritas I've had in quite some time. I ordered the brisket plate, non-lean, and it was good. There was quite a bit of fat on the brisket, which I would expect, however, there was something missing off the taste. It wasn't bad, it was just missing something. I've eaten Texas Brisket before, and perhaps my expectations were to experience that depth of flavor. All in all, it was a good meal, attentive service, and a great location. Very rude hostess. Behaved annoyed when I asked to sit at the bar to eat. Then no bartender/waiter ever appeared. As she wakes nearby I waved to her for help. Again she behaved falsely polite, but clearly annoyed. I asked her to get a waiter because I had a doctors appointment in 30 minutes down the building. No help. I waved to her again asked if I could get an iced tea. She did it but very silent/no eye contact. She said she would put an order in since I told her I'll need to get my quick sandwich to go. Then she never checked to kitchen to bring it to me. Apparently it got cold sitting in the kitchen and was discarded -- so there you go. That was my experience. read more

UPDATE: We came back and it was delicious. Everyone enjoyed their meal. I had the smoked chicken, the wife had the burnt ends, other couple had the chicken sandwich and the brisket. The cornbread was delicious, the maple butter didn't hurt ;). Glad we have it another chance. We'll be back. So, I know new restaurants go through an adjustment period, but we arrived at 5:30pm to find out they were out of several items on the menu. I had looked at the website and it said when they run out of brisket, they are done. So we sit down and order the cornbread appetizer. Our waiter tells us they are out of the maple butter, but we just ask for regular butter. He comes back and says they won't serve the cornbread without it, ok, whatever. We then order dinner, the wife orders the Burnt Ends plate with Brussels Sprouts and ba cheese grits. I then "try" to order the half chicken, but they are out of that as well. I then order the chicken sandwich, which is $1 less than a half chicken. I decide to pay extra for the cheese grits. Approximately 15 minutes later the waiter returns to tell us they were out of the grits as well. At that point we had enough and departed. Someone at the hostess stand said it had been a record day for their brisket, apparently it was for chicken and grits as well. I stopped in today for lunch. I had the "Burnt Ends and Waffles". My experience started with a complementary appetizer that was offered to all customers (probably because they just opened for business). That appetizer was a purple pea humus. It tasted pretty good. The meat had the perfect flavor and texture! It literally melted in my mouth. Their house BBQ sauce was delicious and it came on the Ends. However, the "waffles" was actually half a waffle but it did taste good. Overall, it was good but I wasn't a big fan of the fancy presentation or the smaller portion. I was actually hoping for the exact flavored meat I got there today but in more of a traditional BBQ restaurant style. Less frills and more meat. The cheese grits were highly recommended by my server but didn't taste like cheese or grits they tasted like dry over cooked cornbread with no corn. $15+ after tip for lunch with a water and I was hungry again 2 hours later but like i said, the flavor was good. I realize they are still getting everything figured out and tweaking the menu so I'll try it again but in Memphis a BBQ restaurant really has to knock your socks off to be able to compete. This was THE best barbecue I have ever had. The restaurant is clean, staff is kind and helpful and the food is perfect. I have no complaints and I would not change a single thing about it. I had the burnt ends with Mac and cheese and brussel spouts and a biscuit. The burnt ends were tender and flavorful and the Mac and cheese was creamy and delicious. And the brussel sprouts were the best ones I have ever had. They were sweet and savory and I could have eaten 100 more servings of them. Get their brisket nachos and then tell me they aren't some of the best you'll have. This place is great! My kiddos love their giant pretzels and their mac & cheese. The burnt ends are so so so good. Dang ! .... the food was yum! We drove by this place last week, we noticed the new sign WRB co. My wife asked me what it was ... I said, I don't know maybe it's an office of some sort. Then I read an article about this place and also The Creamery that they also opened in the same shopping center. So went by yesterday to WRB but it was packed at 1:00 with a 30 min wait. I guess everyone else figured out that WRB co was a restaurant.... a darn good one We went back today at 11:15. Still very busy but we sat and ate at the bar and I had a cold draft. Honestly everything about this place was great... the decor, the service, the cold draft... and especially the food. Had the burnt ends and waffle... wow. Portion was very nice. We also had the sliders. We chose 1 chicken and 1 brisket. The brisket was better than the chicken in my opinion. Next time I'll get 2 brisket sliders. We did also stop at the Levee Creamery a few doors down. We had read that it was the same owners and the WRB was so good, we thought hey let's check out the Levee Creamery. I'll post a review on that separately ... in short , we are coffee snobs and the Lattes were great! The servers should tell customers to check it out ... or do a cross sell same day coupon or something. Anyway, Long post but great job guys. Not the greatest service at the bar. The food was mediocre. Ordered a martini and when I finally received it, 20 minutes later, the glass was only about 2/3 full. Took another 15 minutes to get our second drink. Service was much better once we got seated to our regular table. read more

Walked in, sat at bar. Was summarily ignored for about 10 minutes. Finally got a tea. Employees enjoyed each others time for several more minutes and then I was greeted by another employee. Ordered the brisket. Served supposedly with mashed potatoes and a side and a bread. Ordered Mac & cheese and a biscuit. The biscuit was the hottest thing on this plate. Served with what I can only presume is bottled bbq sauce, this plate is pathetic. The "mashed potatoes" are brown, probably a day old, and crunchy (some weren't even cooked). They were cold and in the shape of an ice cream scoop. The mac & cheese was Luke warm at best, cold in the center, obviously nuked with hard noodles and the most pungent nasty dry rub doused on top. The brisket begged for forgiveness, as it probably was good at some point, but it was so dry that even a decent au jus wouldn't have helped it - it would have just brought it back to cardboard status. Although not spoiled, it was no where near "good" and no where near the prices charged. For as cute as this place is, they definitely need to find a decent cook - dear dang Memphis is known for bbq - call Mama she can help - she's probably begging to. And if you think I'm just being ugly? This is the 3rd time I've tried to like them. I can't y'all. They failed every time. There's just nothing good. Wolf river brisket is a favorite for a nice dinner out. The corn bread waffle is a must have - very unique and crispy. They make their brisket sprouts so they are crispy on the edges -love them that way. We generally start with the appetizer of blue chips and warmed corn dip. The Olive Branch location is larger and has more booth seating. Definitely recommend getting reservations on weekends. read more

This place smells like brisket as soon as you walk in the door. But I didn't get brisket this time. I tried the Pimento cheese and bacon jam sandwich with a side of baked grits. The sandwich was awesome but the grits needed something. My coworkers also enjoyed their meals as well and we all stated we would be back to try more. read more

This is probably the 4th time I've been to WRB, and I'd thought I'd try something a little healthier so I ordered the Salmon & Brussels. I guess I knew the dish was listed in the Salad section, but I had assumed the brussels would be cooked. Instead, they are raw with a mix of Kale. While disappointed, the salad was actually really good with the very unusual maple tahini dressing. The reason for the 2 star review was the "Smoked Salmon" that came on the salad. It had no flavor of smoke and actually very little flavor at all. The filet was served cold and hard as a rock. I love a good filet of salmon and usually order it medium. This salmon tasted liked it had been boiled and then refrigerated, then reheated multiple times. I will NEVER order salmon at WRB again. read more

What a wonderful place this is! We walked in for dinner and right away you're hit with the smell of real Memphis Bar-B-Q! Then, we were greeted with the friendliest smile. Come to find out later, that was Todd, the General Manager of the place. We were seated very quickly, although the place was packed. Sitting down, we just took the entire atmosphere in. As a designer, I was very impressed with the decor. They've done a wonderful job mixing county with modern. Perfect blend! They even have a little history out on the patio. If you're curious, there's a plaque on the wall that will tell you all about it. I'm a foodie AND a history buff... so loved hearing the story. The food was incredible. I had the waffle and brunt ends, my guy had the brisket and both were just out of this world. We chose a Amber ale that was on tap, and it was a perfect combo! Even though I was so full, we decided to order the Pecan Cobbler with their homemade ice cream. OH MY GOSH!!! I'll start with that next time. You have to try this place.... Even though it's in a strip mall, don't let that deceive you. It's first class, from the atmosphere, to the service and of course, the food! We will definitely be back!! read more

This has always been a favorite for my husband and me! Everything we have ordered in the past has been delicious. We went tonight (January 2020) and the food was not the same at all. The elote appetizer seemed more like plain corn and 1/2 the stuff it used to have. Husband got the brisket and said it was not nearly as good as it used to be. I've almost always ordered the max and burnt ends because it's delicious, but tonight it was basically plain noodles and 1/2 the meat it used to have. I don't know if the recipes have changed or what, but we hope they go back to the old way! read more

I ordered the mixed (lean and fatty) sliced brisket and it was okay. I will say the fatty tasted and had better texture than the lean. The more I chewed on the lean the drier it got. This was my second time trying this place and unfortunately, I was incredibly disappointed. I opted for curbside delivery and when I opened the box, the contents inside looked as if the box had been dropped on the floor, picked back up, and thrown into the bag. The brisket tasted amazing and was very tender, but was truly a kid's portion which is not something I expect out of a $14 meal. The cornbread waffle was dry and shriveled as if it had been left out all night, and the Mac and cheese was just cheese-less elbow noodles with tons of seasoning on top. OK I'm a vegetarian- so what am I doing here? It's a great bar, and the options for vegetarian food are actually quite generous. I absolutely love this place. Food has been great every time I have been there. The smoked salmon dip is fantastic. The burnt end brisket is a treat. They have creative specialty cocktails and as soon as you walk in the door the first thing you notice is smell of smoked meat wafting through the air. I felt like one of Pavlov's dogs! Service is also fabulous. I ate lunch there today and had to go to a meeting right after. I had only eaten about half my food and they fixed me a nifty to-go setup with ice, so I could leave it in the car during my meeting. That's really above and beyond the call of duty!!
