I've been to many different types of restaurants but this one is unique in its own way. Before we sailed on Harmony of the Seas I made reservations at Wonderland because it looked like creative fine dining. That was an understatement! The restaurant sits on the 12th floor and over looks the boardwalk on the ship. Upon entering, you quickly realize this is no typical restaurant. There is a tunnel to walk through and as you look around, you can see the imaginative design in furniture. From the folded up velvet chair to the golden door that leads to nothing. Once we were seated, we weren't given a menu. There was an empty picture frame and a paint brush. There was magical "water" in a dish on the table which we were told to paint the picture frame with. Then magically, a menu appeared! But it wasn't really your typical menu. There were different themes with lists of original food items. The waiters wore purple velvet coats and made the whole experience more exciting. Our waiter asked us what we liked and didn't like food wise. Then he proceeded to ask us if we would trust him in coming up with a meal for our table. We hesitantly agreed, not knowing what to expect. He told us if we didn't like something, he would take it back. Each course was like edible art coming to life. They were everyday ingredients twisted into magical concoctions. We really enjoyed the vials of tomato water. It was so much fun! We enjoyed the anticipation and the restaurant really lived up to the name Wonderland. The only downside was that it was so much food, we couldn't eat close to all of it. Otherwise awesome food adventure!

Wowza. This was an unforgettable meal and I highly recommend you book this restaurant when you sail on Anthem of the Seas. We're a party of 6 and walked into a Alice in Wonderland type funky room. The table we were showed was large and set up for fun. Sure there's menus. But guess what? You're getting everything on the menu! If you don't like eggs? Don't eat them! If your open to suggestions and have no dietary restrictions then I say climb aboard the flavor train and open your mind. We start off with craziness: food in test tubes (??) Garden vegetables in dirt, Smoked deviled eggs. All entrees came with an elaborate presentation and the food tasted dynamite. We had a great waiter from Transylvania who added flair to each item served. Once the different eclectic appetizers were finished, our waiter brought out sliced steak and chicken served family style. The proteins were cooked perfectly, Dessert? More craziness! Each of us were given a chocolate "globe". My waiter poured hot, liquid chocolate on this global and it melted to reveal more craziness. All said and done, our minds were blown away from the service to the presentation, all top notch and should not be missed.

Second time dining at Wonderland (first was on Harmony - and it was more like a 3.5-4 star). Service was excellent -- and probably made for an even better experience. Menu inventive and fresh. My favs: shrimp, beef short rib, chicken (surprisingly tasty for "just chicken") crab cones, tuna tartar in a lime. Try the world dessert - super rich but fun! Also, buffalo eggs are quite fun! Didn't like: halibut (bland), pork (too much fat) This is worth the up charge for a special and unique night.

So it is the first night of my five night cruise on Anthem of the Seas so we were fortunate to get reservations to get in Wonderland. What a way to set the tone for a fabulous cruise! Now first thing you need to know about me is I am all about the aesthetics is just as important as the food. Well in this category alone they beat any restaurant on land or sea! Let's just say over the top to die for! The furnishings are a cross between a movie set and Disney World or the best Wonderland in the World. Ok on to the good stuff we are seated and you have a picture frame in front of you that is white. You take your paint brush and dip in water and your menu appears. So you are on Royal Caribbean trust me just get everything. The deviled eggs and the veggies in the pumpernickel bread were fabulous! Our main course we had three between my Mom and me the organic chicken, pork belly and the fish. Yes it was alot of food but we are on vacation. The desserts had as much Wow factor as the furnishings I had the chocolate that was so beautifully presented. I am just sorry my hubby wasn't onboard. But just another reason to return soon.

I loved the food, presentation and service. Overall it was a great experience. I would love to do it again. This place is great for people who are open to trying new foods and appreciate creativity and different flavors. If you're a basic eater and hesitant to trying new foods then this place is not for you.

I'm at Royal Caribbean cruise for my honeymoon on the way to Bermuda, we had a lovely dinner at the Wonderland restaurant. The entire restaurant is in character to go with the Allison Wonderland theme from the waiters attire to the chairs to the menu and the unique style of food. The menu itself appear to be a plain paper in a frame until you individually wet it with a paint brush and then a menu appears featuring specialty cuisine based on the elements such as earth wind ice and more. The food was all very unique, nothing at all like what you would see in a typical restaurant, Gastro molecular style and very creative. This place is definitely for somebody up for a culinary adventure! It is also nice to break up your cruise dining at the restaurant as opposed to the main dining room every night. I definitely liked it for the experience.

He enjoyed explaining the various menu selections and details of some special drinks. The cocktails were wonderful and our food was beautifully plated, hot and cooked perfectly. We had the Caesar salad, a chicken and a pork entree. The lemon cake and the raspberry sorbet with a nice pairing of chocolate were both luscious. Justin, the owner, came by our table and we really enjoyed learning about The Roxy, which is a fairly new restaurant ( less than 2 years old). Justin comes up with all kinds of new cocktail creations and entree ideas, so the menu is interesting. The design of the restaurant is fresh and new, but also comfortable. They took our coats as soon as we entered the door practically. Go try "The Roxy". Our family highly recommends and we will visit The Roxy again soon. Great developing location, nice safe area that has so many new apartments and shops being established. Near Liberty State Park and not very far from Manhattan and the Statue of Liberty. Enjoy great food without big crowds

The…read moreaesthetics of The Roxy is warm, welcoming, modern, and provided a comfortable dining experience for diners both at the bar and at the table. The Ricotta Gnocchi came after about 15 minutes and was deliciously creamy, and cooked perfectly where it was both tender and provided a chewy texture which we found enjoyable. The portion was on the smaller side which we were informed by our server. It also looked very pretty as well! The duck breast and the faroe island salmon both came after another 20 minutes, which took quite a while since they weren't really that busy at the time. The duck breast was tender with a crispy skin that was paired deliciously with its cherry jus, so I highly recommend getting that! However, the salmon was overcooked and quite bland compared to the other two, which was quite disappointing and left us feeling hungry despite spending over 100 for 3 dishes. Although we enjoyed some of their selections, the high price tag did not really justify both the ricotta gnocchi appetizer-like portion, and the underwhelming and bland faroe island salmon. The Roxy has potential of being amazing, so I hope they take into consideration this review to continue to improve and change up their menu. Their menu is ever evolving, so they're definitely worth a visit if their updated menu appeals to you! Thank you for reading and best of luck! (:
