My experience with Woods Heating was outstanding from start to finish. After conducting an exhaustive search for a company to evaluate my home for a new heating system (either replacement of the existing oil fired boiler, or a new heat pump system), and after reviewing a number of detailed estimates, I chose Woods for this work. My decision was based upon a number of factors including quality of the products to be installed, price, and responsiveness. Because the cost was so reasonable, it also left room to replace the existing oil tank. I had the pleasure of working with was Josh, the face of the company. He is an earnest young man who was always available to provide information and to answer questions [He even responded to an inquiry while on vacation!]. His approach was courteous and professional, and at no time did he engage in a 'hard sell.' With the able assistance of Lisa at the Woods' office, the scheduling of work was prompt and efficient. Woods technicians arrived on time and completed installation in a workmanlike fashion. I was particularly impressed with Ed, who handled the boiler installation. After he completed his work [ahead of scheduled) and I had the opportunity to take a look at the finished product, I ]referred to him as 'an artist.' Josh Martin of Woods Heating Company along with his team oversaw the recent installation of a new boiler in our Providence RI residence. We are 2000 miles away and Josh Martin/Woods Heating handled this project with greater professional and personal attention than ever imagined. There were other problems encountered which Josh Martin assisted with in order to keep this project on track and get the boiler installed. The RI laws and regulations are strict, and Josh assisted in finding the individuals/companies to meet all the regulations and laws of RIDOH required on this project. My boiler has been serviced by another company for several years. During the last service from another company my wife was told how to fix the problems by herself. The boiler mechanic even left a drawing of his instructions. I switched my contract over to Wood's Heating at the end of the previous contract with the other company. Well I met Wendy Wood at The Home Show last weekend. I explained the problem to her and Wendy Wood very politely told me that she will make a note, investigate the past service, and call me. Wendy Wood kept her promise and called me to inform me that a boiler mechanic would look at my boiler. Steve R. just left my home. He looked at the boiler and within a few minutes discovered a problem with a valve that was about 13 years old. Steve replaced the valve, did a few other things, and now the boiler works fine. Fortunately I did have a service contract that covered the parts and repairs. Even more fortunately, Wood's had a competent service technician who recognized the problem. it was a long thought out decision to leave the oil we had and jump in with a new company. I checked many places for lock in rates and service agreements. After a few conversations, Woods was able to meet my needs. when we bought our house in 2019, we knew our tank was on borrowed timed time since it was about 30 years old and would need to replaced eventually. Reading some other reviews, I see that some people were not happy they had to replace the oil tank. I wasn't either but it's better than 100's of gallons of oil pouring out of the tank into your basement. We talked about options and came up with a an arrangement that was matching other quotes. The tank was installed last week. the guys who installed it courteous, they asked us questions, kept us up to date on the process and cleaned up everything when they left. Woods did all the leg work from getting the tank we wanted, scheduling the work, getting the permit, and working with my schedule. I want to thank Josh and Steve for being there for this journey. I will definitely update my Woods experience if they do not meet my standards. read more

Recently a Roth heating unit was installed at my house. Woods has been my heating/service/equipment company for almost the entire forty years that I have lived in Seekonk. Woods has always met every need for their services that my house requires. The Milro Group did exceptional and careful work in the installation of the Roth unit and all the accompanying tasks necessary to run it to serve my water heater and furnace. Everything was explained to me during every step of the procedures. Too, Josh did a wonderful job explaining the equipment and its location and more. I also would like to call attention to Dilio, a Woods technician, who did some of the most detailed and extensive and exceptional work in the annual servicing of my heating system, including noting how very worn out my decades old oil tank was. Were do I begin, I started with Woods for Propane for our home about a year ago, after having some issues come up, I was put into contact with Stacey in their customer service department to help me resolve my problem and get me where I needed to be and let me tell you she is a blessing!!!!! From the first conversation I had with Stacey I could tell she genuinely was concerned and ready to help me. I didn't think I was going to get anywhere as previous when I dealt with other companies, but Stacey changed that for me, her attentiveness and desire to help me anyway she could was remarkable, she stayed/stays in constant contact with me to make sure I am happy and satisfied with everything. If I could give zero stars I would. This company installed an AC unit in my home this past fall. The unit went unused through the winter and when it was turned on this summer did not work at all. After spending a great deal of time on the phone with the service department I was told that the units parts would be covered by warranty but I would have to pay for labor. Ok, fine. They further told me that they could not come out for another week because they were so busy and to make sure I was home when they got there, someone would call when they were close. This is a completely unreasonable way to set up an appointment but I agreed anyway. After waiting for a week I called Woods again, only to learn that now they have no intention of coming out and they are denying that my unit is covered by any warranty. Furthermore, they are refusing to send me copies of any documents. Not only are they unprofessional they are also idiots. read more

We got five estimates from various places for a gas furnace replacement. We dealt with Joshua Martin at Wood's who was professional, responsive and knowledgeable. We are so pleased we went with Wood's. The old, heavy, cracked furnace was removed without issue and the two Wood's installers spent the better part of two days putting in the new furnace. They did an amazingly neat and professional install and answered every single question with ease and patience. Our new system worked perfectly from the second it was turned on. We no longer have to add water or worry about an aging furnace if we are gone from the house for more than 24 hours. We could not be more pleased with Wood's from when they came to give us an estimate, during the install and after when I connected with David to pay the balance. Every technician has been knowledgeable and always provided excellent service. Yesterday, we had a Roth tank installed. The entire process from meeting with Josh Martin to signing the contract to the installation was seamless. We have a 104-year old home, so the technicians had to be creative to get the old tank out and the new one into our basement. This company is a criminal enterprise where they take full advantage of their customers. Since oil is not regulated by the P.U.C so the gouge the price worse than anyone. With oil at record lows you would expect reasonable prices, but not with Woods they are $.50 to a dollar more than anyone per gallon. I've called and the people that work there are as pompous as the owner who screws everyone who is stuck doing buisness with them. When you call and complain they don't care and they send an oil delivery when you don't need oil. This company SUCKS!!!!!!! read more

I am a Wood's heating customer and just had them install two Split AC units. Because I have a historic house I was very concerned about how the units would fit in the house and how the ducts would look on the outside. The sales person took a lot of timing answering my questions. They allowed me to paint the ducts beforehand and the installation team was really efficient and detailed. I am very happy.
