First time there today, as I was looking for a dry cleaner in the area that could get me back a button-down shirt within 24 hours, for a quick business trip. I called and the gentleman (assuming the owner) told me if I have my shirt in before 10am, he would get it back to me as of 1pm, same day. I was very pleasantly surprised and he certainly did come through, just as promised. I wanted to leave a quick review, right away, as I was very impressed by the speed and professionalism I experienced. I work down the street and get coffee, daily, even closer. I've been a customer here for the entirety of my life in LA, close to 15 years. Over the past year I've noticed my clothes aren't coming back clean. Today I went to pick up a dress and brought back my husband's suit which I picked up a few weeks ago and still had food stains on both sleeves. When I brought it to the attention of the owner (who has known me for several years since he took over the business) he raised his voice at me (a woman, and a paying customer) and accused me of lying. He told me my husband had worn the suit since picking it up a few weeks ago (he hadn't) and was very aggressive for absolutely no reason. He continued to argue with me - saying he'd never give a garment back with dog hair on it (again, he did) but the dog hair wasn't the issue. As a dog owner dog hair gets on everything and it's nothing a lint roller can't fix - zero issue there, which I relayed to him. The obvious food stains on BOTH sleeves was the issue but he wouldn't and couldn't wrap his head around the possibility of him and his staff making a mistake (and they have for several "cleanings" which I didn't even bring up...) I don't appreciate someone accusing me of being a liar and getting in my face. I gave him the opportunity to fix the situation, respectfully, and he didn't. First off... let me start this review by saying I am a frequent customer of numerous businesses in this plaza. I have always experienced FABULOUS service from the owners/employees in this strip mall, UNTIL I encountered the owner of this establishment. I have guinea pigs and was on the fenced patio spraying the pads I line their enclosure with diluted vinegar to then throw them in the washers at the neighboring laundromat. I was minding my own business trying to be swift and then this older man with glasses and a goatee approaches me and tells me that "I can't spray that" out here. Him and his minion employee tell me the barely there draft is carrying the smell into their business. He tells me that I can go over by the brick wall that separates the parking lot from Beverly. We all know that CRAZY accidents happen in LA and I was not about to put myself in DANGER'S way to risk being run over by near traffic. I was stationed more than 15ft away from the doors of this business and would've been wrapped up in under ten minutes. I used up the last 1-2 sprays of my bottle and he exclaims like a WHINING child "I TOLD YOU TO STOP AND YOU ARE STILL SPRAYING!" Excuse ME, Sir? I am an ADULT woman and NO ONE will chastise me like I am in grade school. There was no customers at his dry cleaners which does not surprise me considering his attitude and demeaning way of speaking to grown women. Also, does he forget he came out of a DRY CLEANERS? which has WAY MORE offensive chemical odors than my half water/vinegar spray. I am a frequent customer at my usual dry cleaners and have considered using this place but after my rude experience with this man I will not be a patron. If he changed his outlook on what is actually deterring customers from his business (his UNPLEASANTNESS ), maybe his business would be a little more thriving and he'd be a happier human being. read more

The best dry cleaners i've been to. Needed a rush same day job on a bridesmaid dress for a wedding the next day. They did it so fast and got EVERYTHING out. It was oil and grease stains on silk. I came in for a zipper fix for a cushion cover for the chaise part of my sofa (was quoted about $30 bucks). Not only was it not a zipper replacement it was a simple fix ($10) to the existing zipper. I forgot to pick up my dress and the cleaner began to harass my phone. I told them I couldn't come today because my ex boyfriend attempted to strangle me to death this week and I am dealing with police and detectives all day today (literally what happened and I have proof.) The cleaner became extremely rude and began shaming me for not being able to come, then texted me after I hung up, "don't bother to come. We're donating your clothes." I don't care about the dress. I care about not being harassed by this business owner who is terrible, cruel. It is borderline harassment when I'm going through a deeply dark situation. Update: the owner responded to my original review and told me I was acting like an animal (how professional) and told me I should've told them I was having problems. As you can see in my original review I told them my situation over the phone and he wasn't understanding so I hung up so he would not contact anymore. Then he continued to harass me over text. NOT the place to bring your delicate clothes. Having recently moved to the area, we were looking for a new cleaner. Based on the Yelp reviews, we thought we'd give World Cleaners a try. What a mistake. I have never had dry cleaning returned with such a strong chemical odor before. Honestly, it smells like stepping into a thrift store. If that was the only issue, I probably wouldn't have left a review. The bigger problem is that whatever chemicals they are using are far too harsh for delicate dry cleaning. The clothes we dropped off were returned looking 5 years older and seriously faded. The texture of the fabric also feels stiff/damaged. Very disappointing, especially considering that the attendant commented on how now the items were when we dropped them off. Obviously that did not translate into care being taken. Also, several of the pieces were returned shrunk. You can tell in particular on the items where the collar is now wavy and doesn't lay flat. Fortunately, we only had a relatively small order, but still 5 of the items are now basically ruined and unwearable. I guess I'll have to chalk it up to a $2K mistake and lesson learned. Do yourself a favor and make sure your cleaner understands what they're doing before you leave them anything nice. read more

I've been going here 15 years and they have new ownership. The guy that works there that does the work is amazing, but the new owner is terrible. I pointed out a stain and he didn't mark it and I asked "are you going to note the stain" and he brushed me off. Sure enough I picked it up with the stain now embedded in the shirt. Then I went back and they no longer do next day dry cleaning. I get it that Thursday's can't be picked up until Saturday but no Wednesday for Thursday is new. I never write Yelps but in case you are looking for a dry cleaner this is not it. They were the best for so many years. I have been going here for two years now. It is located conveniently across the street from where I work. The people are always very friendly and the turnaround (every other day) is great! The pricing is reasonable for the area too. My most recent experience, I had recently bought two jeans from Levi's that needed hemming. I usually have my mom's tailor do it, but I decided to give World Cleaners a try since their dry cleaning has never disappointed me. The woman took my measurements in the store and they were ready in two days. When I picked the pants up, one of them was still too long. I went back and asked if they could give it another shot and they accommodated me without charge!! It was very nice and a testament to their excellent customer service.
