Best breakfast in town! There may be a wait for a table but it's "Worth" it!! Love the servers too!!

I came back to Worth Takeaway a few months after my first visit - and was disappointed that they raised their prices even more. Everything is about $1 higher than a year ago. Still, the consistent high-quality of their food was something I appreciate, as well as their great customer service. I had the cold brew with a dash of almond milk, and was pleasantly surprised as the spicy kick it had. 9/10. Veggie Sandwich: This was good, and you can tell a lot of thought goes into choosing what goes in the sandwich. The ingredients work well together (and look pretty). 7.5/10. Spicy Pork Sandwich: Honestly... this was disappointing. It wasn't spicy at all. It was quite bland, to be perfectly honest. It was cooked right and the ingredients were quality, but the taste was underwhelming, especially for something titled "spicy". There was honestly 0 spice. 5/10. Crispy Chicken Sandwich: THE STANDOUT SANDWICH. Seriously, this was amazing and made my review 5 stars. If you are having trouble choosing what to eat off the menu, do yourself a favor and just get this one. Seriously. 10/10. I'd come back because I am curious about trying the pudding. Unfortunately, only 1 out of the 3 sandwiches I had really wowed me. I'd get the cold brew coffee again, because the spicy kick really interested me! read more

Amazing sandwiches with tons of in-house made ingredients. High quality produce and meats, their roast beef is roasted in house as well. Authentic and well-paired flavors, we got the Italian Grinder and the French Dip, cut in half so we could each have half. I love Cubanas and they made one that was almost as great as the ones I had in Key West. Excellent sandwich and great service!

I will say I did check in here... but I've never been here...let me tell you why. I just spent the last 15 minutes reading the owner's very personal inspiring letter on their Facebook page. I'm sure that was not easy to write. Also, kudos to the owner's for identifying bad reviews here on yelp and actually offering refunds. I have never seen that and been in the yelp family for a while. I will one day visit you if I ever find myself in Mesa for that alone. This is obviously a family restaurant that wants to share happiness with the world. read more

I've gone there for breakfast and lunch. Food is simple, but good. It's very small. Not much seating. Usually take it to go. Breakfast burrito was good. Grilled cheese and homemade tomato soup (very good) is my go to for lunch. read more

Sandwiches are always great. I tried a California burrito last time we were in and I really enjoyed it. Their tomato soup is awesome and the service is usually very friendly. They serve your food up in an appropriate amount of time but my only chief complaint is what you get for what you pay here. We dropped $35 here for a sandwich, burrito, side soup and one ice tea. Got here on Ramen night last monday (once a month) and hit the Shoyu Ramen (I talked to the chef - they're doing a different ramen each month - hey - when's Kitakata ramen night? :-)). Wow - really great - good noodles, great softboiled egg, tasty char shu pork, good broth. Only thing that would've made it better would be a spoon with the hook on the handle that keeps the spoon from going swimming in the broth ;-) If you're in the neighborhood on ramen night, make it a special point to go (if not, go anyway - the sandwiches are really good). read more

This place is smaller than a hole in the wall but the food is large as life. I ordered the special of braised short rib, potato/parsnip puree and carrots. It was all well-seasoned and tasted delicious. Roots were not over cooked - just slightly al dente and they had a sugary glaze. The puree was heavenly but the star was the short rib - tender and juicy. Yes it is all served in a plastic container with plasticware, but the flavor is fine dining. I was totally blown away that a sandwich shop made such great food. And their banana pudding was like mother made - vanilla wafers and perfect banana slices! It was Worth it! read more

Rating this place was pretty hard to be honest.. I almost gave "worth takeaway" 2/3 stars but I decided to give them 4 and here is why.. I was in the area and decided to try this place out since I notice that it had so many good reviews. I wasn't sure what to expect from the food or the place do to their prices. Once I walked in I was greeted by one of their employees and she was definitely friendly, the place definitely had a cozy vibe, the inside is not very big but they spaced it out pretty well, they also have an outdoor seating area which is really cool and both inside and outside were definitely clean. They do offer you a complementary water with a purchase I believe so that's a plus. Looking over the menu I notice that there wasn't a huge selection but The options were definitely there, since it was breakfast when I went in and i really enjoy breakfast and sandwiches I decided to try the Pastrami Croque Madame; now again due to the price($9.75) I wasn't sure what to expect from the sandwich.. also just to try out at least two of their sandwiches so I could get a better gauge of their food and taste between prices I also ordered the breakfast Sammy which is roughly around $3.50 I believe. Now to the food.. this is the reason why i was going to give them only 3 stars.. Both sandwiches took right about 15+ minutes to come out to the table and I pretty much the only one there. 1st sandwich up... Pastrami Croque Madame: it comes with bechamel, pastrami, aged white cheddar, dijonnaise served on sourdough; baked and topped with an over easy egg. - i was so Excited for this sandwich but it really failed and the sandwich really only looked nice.. the Pastrami was kinda cold and not really cooked which is weird due to the time they took to make it and the bread really did not taste baked and when it comes to sourdough you can really taste the difference.... so it just made the whole sandwich feel undercooked and the whole thing just ended up having an odd taste to it.. I ended up just eating half of the sandwich... Now for the winner of the food and the reason why I could give them back a star is sandwich #2... Breakfast Sammy: comes English muffin, aged cheddar, sriracha aioli and a friend egg. It's super simple and it tasted good the English muffin was toasted on the outside and it had a crisp taste to it on the inside, the aged cheddar and the sriracha aioli mixed amazing with the muffin and egg. Man I scarfed the whole thing down hahah it's also a surprise due to the cost of this sandwich. Over all it was not a super bad experience the employee, cleanliness and the breakfast sammy made up for it. Hah My stomach was turning a bit after I ate the madame but eh. Do I think the place is nice... yes it's definitely nice. I understand the prices are probably high for a reason but if you are playing the Quality versus the quantity factor then you have to make sure that your quality is ALWAYS up there with the taste of the food as well. Saw a post on Facebook about restaurants that were popular and decided to give this place a try. I did a Postmates order and got the Cali burrito, the rubber and the roast beef sandwich and got the fries and chips. All 3 items were delicious! The fries were nice and crunchy and the chips were a little on the over salty side but had an amazing crunch to them. Will definitely try them again but on postmates it seemed like they were sold out of a lot things at 10am. read more

I finally had a chicken sandwich from here! More specifically the "Buffalo blue cheese chicken" on sourdough to be specific and it was delicious! Lightly crispy on outside and tender on the inside. The red hot sauce to blue cheese ratio was on point! Trust me! I am a chicken sandwich eating connoisseur. I wish I would've thought to take a picture but unfortunately was an after thought. Oops! Great little restaurant. In the area for business and looking for something besides fast food before I had to head home. I was able to pull up right outside and was met by very friendly staff. Ordered my food and it was done in about five minutes, which had me back on the road in a short time. The menu was small, but I'm ok with that if the food is good. If you find it hard to get excited about a sandwich, you haven't been here! I tried their Crispy Chicken Sandwich, which has won kudos in the "Best Of" categories in Phoenix. It was bathed in a delicious Buffalo style sauce that was homemade, not as spicy and vinegary as the regular Buffalo hot sauce, and filled with flavour. Probably one of the best sandwiches I've ever eaten and I've gone to a lot of great and very highly rated independent sandwich shops in Portland Oregon. I ordered two sandwiches so that I can try one of each cold and hot. Their signature crispy chicken sandwich was just perfect. The flavors went together perfectly and had plenty of seasoning and just the right amount of Bread , meat to veggie ratio. There ciabatta Roll must have been homemade it had a light and wonderful flavor. I also ordered the Italian grinder for something different. Can't say I was in love with the sandwich. I'm sure there are those out there who believe that an Italian grinder should included mayo but I'm not one of them it had a lot of mayonnaise. They give you a Generous amount of thinly sliced cheeses, meats and the veggies were really tasty had a little spice just the way a sandwich should be. I will definitely be back to try more of the great sounding sandwiches they had on their menu and of course will always add a crispy chicken to my order. This place is very cute and has a quaint little patio perfect ambiance for a relaxing lunch. Unfortunately the sandwiches we tried were not anything we would come back for. For all the people writing less than 5 start reviews of them during COVID, you're a pretty heartless person. You want more ranch on your sandwich? They are MORE than happy to give it to you, don't go writing a three star review about it. This is a local business, pouring their heart into what they do and it shows. They are killing it! Not many people, unless you have worked in restaurants before, know how hard this time has been on the local economy. I'm honestly surprised how inexpensive their menu items are with the quality of product they use in this time, and before COVID even. 1000% worth the menu prices, I would even pay more. Their handling of safe practices, how they have been taking care of their team members is admirable. I wish every place in the valley was as cautious and caring as they are. Sum up: if you aren't here to put an amazing sandwich in your belly and enjoy life, maybe just order McDonalds. I went there for a take out because I saw all the really good reviews here. But it wasn't impressive at all. when I called, the waiter sounded rather impatient with me. I saw the menu online that says they have a veggie sandwich, so I asked for that, but it turned out that they don't have it anymore, but 2 different vegetable sandwiches now instead (so a heads up for everyone seeing the old menu!) And instead of explaining that to me and the differences of the two sandwiches, he just asked me to go check menu online first, which I did... Anyways, so I got the bruschetta eggplant sandwich. If it tasted good I would be satisfied. However, I honestly don't think the taste and flavor live up to the hype. Super thick bread with no texture, thick plain eggplants with a smear of hummus and vinaigrette. Everything tastes just like themselves but you have to eat them together. The flavors just don't blend at all, leaving me feeling that there's no "cooking" involved in making it. It tastes just like something you eat to get full, not to enjoy. I've been going to Worth Takeaway for years, every time I'm in Mesa, but always get the same thing because it's so amazing. The Crispy Chicken. I do switch between the fries and the homemade chips, both are fantastic and the salad is so fresh. This is an adorable restaurant with a wonderful vibe. Round two at Worth Takeaway and as hard as it was to pass up another amazing Crispy Chicken Sandwich, I had heard they offered a special sandwich each week and had to venture astray. I can not remember the name provided for this great concoction but dang it was good. I swear, they took everything my Grandma made well and jammed it all together for a scrumptious meal. It took me back to my grandma's table and reminded me how great homemade grub is. Why oh why does this great place have to be so far from the west valley? Finally tried this place and it did not disappoint. We ordered the crispy chicken sandwich and a Cuban with a root beer from Sun brewery, and everything was fantastic. Cuban was mostly traditional but Worth adds their own homemade pickles so it gives the sandwich a unique taste. It could use a bit more Dijon spread. Overall it was great. The crispy chicken is juicy and somehow crispy at the same time! Awesome! House made pickles also on the sandwich and the bread wasn't too thick. Good sandwich. Been going here for years. The food is always amazing. Jim bobs burgers on Halloween is one of our favorite events and will always leave you wanting more bobs burgers. A little on the pricey side for a sandwich shop. Came back for the second time and boy they out did themselves again. I went back to having the Cuban but tried a Reuben for the first time cause my wife wanted me to try it. The Cuban reminds me of living back home in Miami. Needless to say... I will be having the Cuban and Reuben again! The meat was tender and the condiments added just the right touch to each sandwich. Crispy chicken sandwich was delicious! Their entire menu looks wonderful and I'd love to come back to try more. Iced white peach tea was also great! What I noticed most though was the incredible staff. I sat on the patio on a hot day and the lady came out multiple times to fill people's water glasses. (This kind of service is not typical at a place where you order from the register and seat yourself). Another staff member noticed a customer out on the patio getting ready to leave and came outside just to ask him if he needed a to-go cup for his drink.
