If ever a restaurant really lived up to its name it's "Wow Kabob" because wow! The food is literally incredible. Everything I've tried has been 5 stars. It's only been open for a little while and I'm honestly embarrassed to admit how many times I've eaten here. The chicken, beef and salmon kabobs are absolute must try's. They are bursting with flavor and perfectly cooked. If you want something a bit lighter, the shawarma bites (Arabic style) and shawarma sandwich are standouts. The baba ghanoush and grape leaves are among the best I've ever had! And I'm not sure how authentic it is, but the Nutella baklava is an experience all on its own. It's stupid good. I really can't say enough about this place. The flavors are so authentic. I came here on the advice of a friend who is from the region and she vouched that this place is the real deal. I, for one, believe in supporting small businesses, especially business like this! Seriously, eat here!!!If any Mediterranean restaurant that deserves to succeed it's Wow Kabab. My husband and I noticed this place last summer while it was under construction. We found out they just opened their doors this past Friday. On Saturday 1/13/24, we decided to try them out for dinner. My husband phoned in our order before we headed down. I got the chicken shawerma ($15.99) and my husband got the falafel entree ($14.99). The entrees come with rice, pita, choice of 2 cold appetizers and choice between garlic sauce or tahini sauce. We both got hummus and the red cabbage salad. Parking was not a problem. We were greeted as soon as we walked in. Our order was also ready. There's no outdoor seating but there are tables inside and there was already people eating inside when we came in. At the last minute, my husband also got 2 pieces of baklava to add to our order. As soon as we took our first bite when we got home, my husband was immediately impressed. I wasn't sure what to expect but I have to say this place exceeded my expectations; from their service to their food. Everything was delicious and it was a generous portion of food. Wow is correct!! I've been here twice since they've opened and their food gets better each time I order the chicken shawarma plate. The plate is HEAVY because they give so much food. I was really looking forward to trying this restaurant after seeing the pictures on Yelp showing generous portions of meat across the board, whether it's the kebabs or lamb chops. Unfortunately, my experience didn't live up to the expectations set by those photos. I ordered the lamb chops and, while the flavor was absolutely amazing--perfectly seasoned and cooked--the portion size was shockingly small. I was served two tiny pieces of lamb chops that could only be described as baby-sized. For the price I paid, I expected a lot more meat, especially considering how the portions looked in the photos. While the quality of the food was great, the value for money was severely lacking. I left feeling disappointed and unsatisfied. Glad to have New Mediterranean place open up Rancho. When you come in, there place clean and welcoming. My son and I ordered the beef and chicken shawarma combo plate and lentil soup. We got the side of hummus and potato salad. The combo was big enough to share. Rice and chicken were flavorful. Beef was slightly dry but not bad. Hummus and garlic sauce were good but I've had better. The lentil soup and the potato salad might be a lacked a little salt but could easily be adjusted. The soda machine's Coke Zero just came out a little too sweet, probably off on the syrup water proportion. Just minor things and overall a good experience. This place can be hit or miss. The first two times there, everything tasted fresh and delicious. The most recent time however, the beef shawarma was very dry and tasted a bit old. I was there at 6:00pm so it wasn't like it was right before closing so that is concerning. Overall, this place has potential but like all new places, unless the owners/management get on top of their quality control and training, this spot could meet the fate of most new restaurants and close within the first 5 years of opening. read more

The only thing I can review is the item that I received...a Shawarma gyro. The flavor of the meat was OK however, the texture was lacking. The texture was sort of grainy and a bit stringy. Which I've never experienced from any gyro spot. The quantity of food was good for the price but the flavor just wasn't there for me. Sadly, I won't be going back. The only thing that was good was the rice. Super flavorful. Chicken kabob- better than the shawerma but also on the dryer side. Combo special beef- the beef was also super dry and bland. It was so overcooked the texture was almost like mush. Needed sauce to save it as well. I actually quite liked this concept but would have liked it better if the beef wasn't so dry. Fries were good and well seasoned but also a bit on the dry side. Baklava - got the regular one and a pistachio one. Nothing special. One of them was super stale. Wouldn't get again. read more

I was very hopeful given all the rave reviews. I had the Kafka kebob, tabbouleh and pickled onions (forgot the name). The sides were good, especially the onion! But the Kafka, while flavorful, was pretty dry. Maybe they use lean ground beef? I don't know. Maybe it was a bad day. But at $20 a plate, I'm not rushing to return. I am interested in the trying the mushroom kebab, but it too is $18. I know it's a business and they have to make their money, but I'm not paying $18 for mushrooms, rice and parsley. I have a grill too. Anyway, the space is new, smallish, clean, bright and seems like a chill place to eat. The staff were fine. I am SO glad they opened! All the other Mediterranean spots around here sucked. Especially Luna Grill I had to go all the way to Pizzita in Chino for my fix. The only critique I have is that my chicken comes out a bit burnt most times. Other than that, the combo plate or one entree plate always hits. I get the garlic sauce to dip my meat in. Their tzatziki (cucumber yogurt salad) tabbouleh (parsley salad), cucumber salad and hummus are great options for sides! I tried the beet salad last time but it's a bit bland for me. Love that they give pickled turnips and pita bread with each plate. The rice is always immaculate. Expect to wait 10-15 minutes for your food since they grill everything fresh. read more
