I walked in and told them my last lady messed me up so I had to grow out my toenails and if they can make it square she massaged me for 10 seconds cut my toe nails to where my under skin is and basically made it worst then what I came in cut off all my growth that I grew for nothing and forced me to get gel polish.. Do not come here for french tips! I was recommended Vivian and I'm sure she does a great job and has a loyal following of clients. She told me to come at a certain time through texts and after seeing her laying down the acrylic powder in the beginning, I was already really concerned. She did it extremely quickly and was not attention to detail. My nail shape took a lot of fixing and me having to tell her it doesn't look even at all. Now, the final part...the design. I wanted french tip with chrome and showed her a photo and asked if she can do it. She said she can, but she clearly could not as I come to find out. I kept telling her I was not happy with the crispiness of the french tip and now that I'm returning to Yelp for some insight, it looks my experience is comparable with many others. The reason I have no photo to show is because after being so frustrated of being critiqued, she acted like a baby and said "okay you are not happy with it I will remove it" and proceeds to pull out her nail clipper and wanted to remove my acrylic full set that I just sat there for 50 minutes for her to do. It was so childish I had to sit there and explained to her I think the acrylic tips are fine, what is not okay is the french tip and if anyone else can take over. She proceeds to yell over to her colleagues "She's not happy and doesn't like my work, anyone wants to do it" and that was that. When I got up after she buffered my naked nails I asked how much because she did do my nails half way and she said oh no charge it's free, then I tried to tip her $10 and she gave it back to me because she was too prideful. Which....in retrospect thank you because my shape was horrendous on closer examination. Uneven and sloppy powder overlay. I wouldn't trust this salon to do any intricate design work, or french tips. I hate getting my nails done but decided I probably should for my wedding day. There was a new coffee shop opening next door on the same morning we were getting our nails done, so that's what influenced me to pick Lynn's Nails. I called a few days before to make an appointment for 4 manicures and pedicures. We arrived at 9am and they had 4 open chairs for us and started our pedicures immediately. They had enough people to work on all of us simultaneously so that was nice that nobody had to wait. I was the only one who decided to do regular polish while the other girls chose gel. I ended up changing my mind to gel because it would last longer. I appreciated that the ladies working there didn't pressure me to get gel instead just for the more expensive price and let me decide on my own. They finished everyone's manicures and pedicures by about 10:15 so it was way faster than I expected. I liked the quality of my gel polish but I'm probably not the best judge since I don't do it often. It looked nice and didn't feel too heavy. Unfortunately I accidentally chipped one nail right after my wedding ended. I found myself in the area the next day so I just stopped in the nail shop and asked if they would be able to fix it. Cindy did my dip powder and it started to chip the next day. Went into the salon and requested it to be taken care of. Cindy was very rude and very disrespectful. Kept pointing at my nails and talking to her coworkers about it in her language the entire time i was there and sounded very angry. After finishing, I asked hervto clean around my nails. She took a nail file and started filingmy skin, which hurt. She didn't even want to clean underneath my nail even though my nail got glued to the skin. Came here with my sister for a 6:15 PM appointment for a basic pedicure which is $23. There was no other customers waiting when I got in and it took about 5 minutes for the nail technician to start my toes. I didn't mind however, everything after that is why I gave them a 2 star review. The technician did not make any conversation with me except if the water was okay or what nail color I wanted. Okay, fine... but let me tell you, if you want a fast pedicure this is the place. All sarcasm aside. I guess the nail technician had an appointment with another customer. As soon as the customer came in, she asked the nail technician if she was ready. She told her where to sit and rushed my pedicure. I barely got a massage on my legs. I went in for a spa manicure and spa pedicure. Each service was done by a different nail technician. My toes look great. But my finger nails are bad. The only difference between the 2 is the clear nail polish that each nail technician used. Maybe that's what caused the issue. I have some sort of bump, ridge, or uneven nail polish on each finger nail. Very disappointed. Especially considering that I did not ask for anything extra or special to be put on my nails. Made and appointment for this place and I was a couple minute late but still let into the salon. I got there still contemplating of what design I wanted. I communicated with the technician and she helped me decide which one and gave prices on the spot which was helpful. The total cost was $40 for this set. I have gone to this shop twice now. Maybe the only reason why I come back is because the ladies here don't gossip as much while doing my nails, and they don't make small chit chat, which I like sometimes because I just wanna relax in peace. But twice now, since I came, both nail technicians clipped my toes and they use so more force that my toes end up hurting the next day. The first time she just put glue on my bleeding toe, and didn't say sorry. My nails that day were perfect and lasted a long time. Second time around, which was yesterday. The lady dug deep into my big toe and clipped the side of my toe. It hurt but she just smiled because I didn't say anything. She did do a good job finding my burgundy color polish I would like because I didn't like the first color she put on. Luckily I was paying attention after the second time. Now I'm waiting for my hands, and the technician who I showed a picture to assured me she would make my hands looks beautiful. Which I thought she did when I left the store because I was tired by then. I didn't want bedazzle on my nails, but she convinced me her glue was the best and it would stay on for a long time. The bedazzle looked nothing like the picture I wanted. But I went with it, because it was shiny and different. It's one day after my manicure and one of the stones fell off already. Bye bye to good glue! She also didn't clean the edges of my nails and missed a couple of spots on my glitter nails. I wish I would speak up more but she was so nice to me and she was confident that her work was beautiful that I didn't want to hurt her feelings, or was scared to complain because you know what happens to those who complain! Shunned and they will remember you if you come again as the girl who complained. I came back the following Monday and someone fixed it for me, but because I didn't remember the number they had to improvise. Instead of matching my gold fingernail, she gave me a silver fingernail. So now I have one gold nail, one silver, and three red ones. Smh I won't be back any time soon. read more

Normalize telling someone that you can't do what they asked for, I would rather you say we don't have xyz right now so we can't do that, I can change my game plan. Came in ready for appointment, with a style in mind and the picture to match, even before I was done with my pedi (which I honestly loved) I showed the tech what I wanted and what color I wanted as well. Sat down with a new tech ready to get this full set done, picture out and ready, she even zoomed in and saw exactly what I wanted and what was different. Comes down to it and we're off to a great start I feel like we understand each other, colors are right and length is good, application is on point, then it all turns to sh*t. Now we don't have the things needed for the style, we can't marble because it's powder not polish, you couldn't have said that before. It okay I have another style in mind this should be okay right, nope. The lines are crooked and the gold flakes needed for the previous style are no longer on the table. At this point I'm done, do what you want because you're going to charge me regardless since the set was on, she kept trying to come up with things to make it better but I was past damage control I wanted it over with so I could leave. $45 for a full set that I didn't what, was lumpy, and over panted, she even got some gel on the PALM of my hand like how. There was no meet and greet or noticeable name tag. I always think it'll be quicker and more convenient to stop and get it done somewhere but this was pretty useless. $5 + tip for a lip wax and I should've known the way the wax was applied and torn off that it wouldn't be ideal. I didn't have the chutzpah to say, 'You're doing it wrong.' It wasn't very hair removal-y which is totally what you're looking for. Lesson: Don't get hair removal at a nail shop. read more
