This review is directly related to the location manager, Ricardo. Date of visit January 29, 2021. Time of visit 4:30 pm. He was very rude and unwilling to help us in our situation. We purchased the XFi Pods less than a year ago, which did not work. We took them to a store location and were told that we needed to send them via ups and a new set would be shipped to us. We received the new set which did not work. We spent three hours on a call with their so-called experts with no success. They scheduled an appointment for a technician. The technician came and was also unsuccessful. He then told us to go to an xfinity store, with his business card, and said they will exchange the pods for a newer generation. When we arrived, Ricardo said there is nothing he could do. He said we needed to go home and do it online without any offer to help. He raised his voice shook his head. We asked if we could have someone in store to help us with the process. Daniel, a sales associate, offered to be by our side as we call the "call center." Just the simple offer of support was very much appreciated over the managers refusal to help. Guess what Ricardo did after Daniel offered to help? Stormed off into the parking lot. The whole Xfinity system is terrible. From the store to online help, to customer call centers, there has been no resolution. We originally just wanted to return the pods due them not working but were told we needed to try a new set. After receiving the new set, which didn't work after numerous attempts with the call center and the technician who came to our house, we come to the store as directed and were treated with disrespect by Ricardo. As a manager, one should be respectful to clients who give the company he or she works for business, which in turn gives him or her a place of employment. Managers should not dismiss the experience that a customer is having with equipment that we purchased. Who ever condones Ricardo's behavior towards customers (who happen to be long standing customers) should also be held accountable. An individual with Ricardo's skills in running a store or working with customers should not be a manager. Cesar is one you want to work with at this location. He helped upgrade 12x speed for my account and 4x for my parent's account for the same prices I was paying before. He really cares that the customer is getting the best deals Comcast offers. I didn't make an appointment and was in and out within half an hour. He was able to handle things very quickly and even reminded me to return my old modem to avoid a $160 fee. Where should I begin... decided to get wifi in my new home with xfinity. Flex box was defective it took me over a month to get that conclusion because the only customer service that is easily reachable is via messaging through app. A lot of circling back to the same "resolution" finally decided to call them and it is so hard to reach an actual human being v an automated machine. While I was trying to get help on the app the SR convinced me to switch to xfinity mobile.. saying I would Pay the same for the same services.. just came back from Mexico with an over $300 bill!!! EMPTY PROMISES... SCAMMERS... had to come in to the store to complain because I was NOT going to deal with another messenger or automated machine. Of course when I explained why I was complaining there first resolution.. "I'm going to need you to call xfinity" I said NOPE I need to talk to a human. This place is so weird. When I changed the service to internet only I was told that all I needed to do was to go and drop the box off. I go in o drop off the box and assume that's it (given that was what I was told) and the customer service folks tell me that I actually have to meet with someone in order to return the box. But here is the kicker, they can take the box and I can either wait in the 2hr line or come back with an appointment to make sure they are not charging me for the box I just returned. I take a ticket for an appointment the next day to make sure they are not charging me for something they have physically checked in and it takes them literally one second to scan the receipt (the one given to me by the rep the DAY BEFORE) and say you are all set. Why, OH WHY, could they have not simply done that when they CHECKED THE DEVICE IN AS RETURNED??? They inquired my credit back in February without my consent. Even though it was their mistake, I had to spend time trying to fix this as it was a hard inquiry on my credit report. They opened a ticket & in a week said that they did not see an inquiry on my credit. So I left it alone. Fast forward to this week. I looked on my Equifax report & guess what I saw, A HARD INQUIRY FROM COMCAST ON 2/10/2020. To fix this they are asking me to call to open a ticket, but I tried calling, I CANNOT GET A HOLD OF AN ACTUAL PERSON! I was going in circles with their automated system. I just ended up disputing this through Equifax. When you go here, make sure they do not "accidentally" run your credit without your consent & I'm sure I don't need to say this, but IT IS ILLEGAL TO RUN SOME ONE'S CREDIT WITHOUT THEIR CONSENT!!! read more

There was a line when we arrived and there were about four people ahead of us. Someone approached us and told us that the wait time will be about 45 minutes and if I was willing, he can text me when I am next. I hate waiting in line so I opted for the text reminder as we strolled over to Home Goods to do a bit of shopping. I got the text message as we were heading back to the xfinity but the guy that was supposed to help us was still finishing up with a customer. The other guy had to leave and we were just standing there confused on what we're supposed to do. Then another guy waved for us to approach him and then we dealt with our concerns. I visited Xfinity today to return a modem and also to ask if there was any plans that was less expensive than the plan that I was currently on. Alonzo waited on me and was absolutely so unhelpful that when I left, I said to myself WTF just happened? What was his problem? I asked questions about the plans they have available and when I clearly did not understand his question or have the answer he wanted, instead of taking the time to clarify himself or my options, his response was to just repeat the same exact question all over again as if I now know the answer. He acted so uncaring and callous that the manager must not be around much to supervise or hear how he is treating their customers. Whatever happened to helping customers with their needs, answering questions helping them make informed decisions and solving problems? At the very least, hold a standard of respect when interacting with customers. Epic customer service failure at this location. read more

Update: I was told by an online tech that I needed a new gateway, an XB8. I was assured that I would receive one at the store. I arrived and was given the "updated product". Returned home an setup everything up, but this did not fix my problem as I was told. A technician responded to the house to troubleshoot the problem. He told me that the "new product" I received was not the XB8 modem but was the same version that I had just replaced, an XB7. What a waste of time. read more

Every night after 12:3 pm I live in Milpitas the network stop to work for 35-50 min I have an issue when the online agent helps to activate the modem, he told me coming this store to scan the modem. When I was in the line, a man with the tag manager told me that we know about the problem there . I waited over an hour to just find out how do I get an esim for my new iPhone. The person who greets you when you enter doesn't ask you what you're there for and is just on their personal phone all the time. This is not the first time I have encountered this. When I pointed out that I've been here for a very long time then he asked me what I was there for and did not apologize for my long wait time or even acknowledge it. I have an issue when the online agent helps to activate the modem what I got from my cousin, he told me coming this store to scan the modem. When I was in the line, a guy Ricardo with the tag manager told me that will not work for the transferring owner modem. After complaining he told the tech to scan. Unluckily, I call online agent again but still not working, he asked me come back the store to scan one more time. Omg, this time the "manager" guy complained with his face likes a evil monster very rude, but I was so patient to ask the tech giving me a favor to scan one more time, and he did. I requested to talk to the managers on site but I was told that they were on the phone. I left my phone number for them to contact me and I still have not heard back from them. The speeds are very pathetic, especially the upload speed. I don't want any more download bandwidth, I need more upload bandwidth. The technician who came to my house to fix some cable is a complete dumbass. He's trying to educate me about how modems work and that all modems give off the same speed. I prove his ass wrong and he lost a $50 bet against me; very pathetic. What happened in our argument is that I told him that the SB8200 modem will give off faster speed than the SB6141 because the SB8200 has more channels. He told me that I just basically wasted my money on a new modem and that I should educate myself before buying a new modem. I wanted to punch that guy in the face because I know more than this little knucklehead. I don't have a degree in IT and servers, but my favorite hobby is about servers. I own and operate a full server rack at my workplace. Okay, so I forced him to swap out the old modem for the new modem and I was right. The old modem had lower download speeds than the old modem. Then comes the new DDoS attacks that some kid keeps running on me. I think it's my business rival who's trying to fuck me up. I know that I can reset my modem and get a new IP, but it's so annoying because this kid port scans and IP scans a whole range of Comcast's IPs (73.0.0.0-73.255.255.255) to check for an open port (3389) on my Remote Desktop that I use from home. Now you might be saying that there's a bunch of IPs that have port 3389 opened and how does he know which one is my IP? Well, guess what? Things get can more complicated; I believe that he traceroutes the IP so it leads back to my city, so that narrows down the IP pool to only a couple of IPs, then he bruteforces everyone's port opened on 3389 to see the username. And if the username matches mine, bingo. He does not do this by hand, it's like that he setup an automated program to do this. I hope you understand what I said because when I went the the Comcast center and explained all this crap, those braindead people blanked out on me. It's crucial that I need to access my computer at home server from my workplace and when I'm on the move. I can't just close off my ports. I also have an FTP server setup so that I can access my files from home. I work from home and from my workplace. Sometimes that I have to turn off my internet every night because the DDoS attacks will use up all my data. So please Comcast employees, don't tell me to get a new IP or reset my modem whatever. It's even funnier how they offer Xfinity Home; the security is useless when the internet goes down. Comcast needs DDoS protection because my internet is down or crucially slow 90% of the time. Please stop sending technicians over to my house Comcast. You can't install DDoS protection at my house. You need to do it from your end of the lineI mostly share my phone's internet connection and cellular data now whenever I want to access the internet. I'm paying for 300mbps/12mbps for over $100 a month and can't barely use my internet at all. I get stuck on the screen that says something among the lines of "Sorry we can't activate your service right now, please call Comcast for assistance." For crying out loud on all these problems, I just want fast and reliable internet access, that's it! The only reason why I'm with Comcast is that they offer good speeds per price ratio. The only alternatives in my area are Viasat satellite internet (high latency) and AT&T DSL (slow and unreliable). Wireless alternatives have not popped up on my dead area yet. AT&T fiber is for the apartments over the block--they never go through my street. I'm living in the best tech city, the Silicon Valley, and the internet is so poor. Our city leaders needs to do something about Comcast or our internet service providers because this is ridiculous. Hence why's there's no competition in internet service providers because the big companies, Comcast and AT&T, had claimed all its ground and rights, so you can't just start digging up the ground and using THEIR poles to wire fiber. Book an appointment online! I didn't see it advertised in the store or even mentioned by employees but you can book appointments online at the xfinity website. You can book appointments as close to an hour ahead of the current time, that's what I did. When I went to my 4:30 appt the people ahead of me were quoted wait times up to 1.5hrs! All the employees I met were super friendly and were thanking me for making an appointment. read more

So quickly came in today to try to get some quality service but yea not great. First, they are playing loud music, and I cannot even hear myself think. If you are going to blast music, can it be something soft and not loud? Second, there isn't a clear indication of where to stand in line or how to be helped. It was uncomfortable and awkward. Location is in a very busy complex. I had an appt so was served relativity fast. However they were not able to help me and gave me what j believe was correct info, but the rep bad mouthed the Xfinity customer phone service staff as not knowledgeable. Which may or may not be true, but still they are their coworkers. Also she could have found out how to help me out. Her advice about calling the loyalty group was also incorrect and eventually was routed back to customer service on the phone and he was able to help me. We only have TV cable service with Xfinity. Our 15+ year old set top box stopped working before Christmas. Called the Xfinity customer service where I did live chat with a tech. After over 30 minutes of running through the same "tests" over and over with no fix to the box, he declared that it was broken and that he would send us a new one along with a new remote controller. Called a second tech to confirm the replacement order. The new tech gave me a "shipping number" and said the new box would take about two business days to arrive. That was 10 days ago. It is now nearing New Years Day and no new set top box has arrived. Tried phoning but could not get a live person to straighten out the mess. We decided to drive to a local bricks and mortar Xfinity/Comcast store to see about talking to a human there. The website recommended making an appointment. Unfortunately there were no appointments available on the date we picked. Tried to go with an alternative date but that option was grayed out. Would welcome advice. read more
