There are so many amazing Chinese restaurants in and around the Vegas Strip. If you want the full experience, spend the $$$ and go to DIN TAI FUNG for a legendary experience, but if you want to save a few $$ and still get something "similar" to said business, come to Xiao Long Dumplings! Came here with some friends a few evenings ago, and from the get-go service and food quality (and QUANTITY) was top-notch. For a small party, we ordered a variety of dishes -- some pictures below, others eaten so quick before the phone ever had a chance! The speed at which these dishes came out was astounding. Dumplings arrived under 5 minutes after ordering, while main dishes came around the 7-8 minutes mark. The restaurant is an open floor concept, with very good lighting. Some of my recs? You can never go wrong with soup dumplings, salt and pepper shrimp, and the sleeper dessert -- the toasted milk egg roll! Oh my goodness, give me 5 of these! They are so delicious. Everything was properly seasoned, the waiters were in top of it, and the overall experience was enjoyable. 10/10 do recommend!
I called and made a reservation for a party of 9 same day. They were easy to accommodate. This place is great for big groups. Plenty of seating, and there is never a long wait up front. I really like their menu and their variety of dumplings and other traditional Chinese food. Sauces such as soy sauce, vinegar, and hot chili oil are already on our table. We had a variety of dumplings, Mongolian Beef, Spicy Mongolian Beef, chicken feet, and a large bowl of sour soup. Since we were a big party of 9, we ordered 1 regular Mongolian Beef and 1 Spicy Mongolian Beef, and that was enough to feed our group. Everything is served family style. Our server Thai was awesome! He was quick to get our orders, very attentive, and always had a smile on his face. Having a great server with a smile always creates a positive experience.
Visited Xiao Long Dumplings in Chinatown, Las Vegas on June 19. The restaurant has plenty of seating and a comfortable atmosphere. Unlike some busy Chinatown restaurants, it was not noisy, making it easy to enjoy conversation while dining. Service was impressively quick from ordering to receiving our dishes. We ordered a variety of items, including beef chow fun, braised beef noodle soup, pork rib noodle soup, shrimp and pork soup dumplings, sautéed spinach with garlic, Thai tea, and Thai coffee. The portions were generous, and the dishes offered a nice variety of flavors. The soup dumplings were enjoyable, the noodle soups were hearty, and the garlic spinach was a great complement to the meal. Prices are on the higher side compared with some Chinatown restaurants, but the large portions make it a good value when sharing. Overall, a satisfying dining experience with efficient service, a relaxed atmosphere, and plenty of choices. I would return the next time I'm in Las Vegas.
This is my first time here definitely won't be my last. The parking lot is a little cramped, we found parking on the side. As we walked in, we agreed by the hostess, super friendly and a relaxed atmosphere. We were seated right away and presented our menus and wow they have a lot to choose from. Our server was really helpful. Made a lot of menu suggestions like the soup dumplings, which I highly recommend. We also got the scallion pancakes, steamed pork buns and sliced bbq pork. These are all great choices very well cooked and super tasty. I also ordered some beef chow fun and wagyu fried rice. All the food came out fresh hot and fast. Everything here is very well made. I need to return here. There's so many things that I want to order. As I'm eating my food looking at other people's tables seeing the choices that they made and everything coming out looks amazing. I guess I'll have to wait till next time. The servers here are great they keep checking back on your table to see if you wanna order more food or if you need refills on your drinks. I highly recommend this place for some great service great food and guaranteed to leave full.. so give this place to try and happy eating.
As a guy who spends plenty of time exploring the valley's dim sum and dumpling scenes, I was thoroughly impressed by Xiaolong Dumpling's location on South Buffalo. Very strong 4, maybe a 5 after we try more of the menu. This place gets busy, which is usually a telling sign for a restaurant in this area. Despite the packed dining room, the service here is remarkably fast, highly efficient, and attentive. In our 2 visits, we ordered across the menu to test out plenty of different things, and across the board, the execution was really good. The wrappers on the dim sum were thin, and everything hit the table fresh and hot. While everything was good, especially the house XLB,, the Crispy Beef was the absolute superstar of the meal. The kitchen nailed the texture--shattered-crisp on the outside while maintaining tender beef underneath, all tossed in a perfectly balanced sauce that didn't turn the coating into mush. It is a masterclass in wok execution and an absolute must-order. And it stayed somewhat crisp till the next day! The chow mein was missing the wok hei, which is for me what is holding the 5 stars rating. Good, bit not memorable like the other items. Fast paced, consistently sharp service, and excellent food. It is borderline a 5-star neighborhood gem that holds its own against anything in the heart of Chinatown. I'll definitely be back to explore more of the menu.
Had to try this place since the reviews claim they had one of the best XLB in Vegas. Before you pop the XLB in your mouth be sure to perforate the top because these dumplings are filled with hot soup that is bursting with flavor, but the skin was a little bit thicker than I like 7.8/10. The pan fried dumplings were fried well and also very hot and tasty 7.8/10. The potstickers had a thinner skin and had a nice browned bottom 8/10. Fried rice was standard 6.5/10. The restaurant is nice and clean.
FLAVOR (3/5): The soup dumplings here are still soupy but the skin isn't necessarily the thinnest and the meat willing isn't like top quality. Still a solid dumpling. The fried beef was huge for the portion size but after a while the texture got really repetitive. Everything else we ordered was mid at best and thats being generous. INSTAGRAM WORTHY (4/5): Decorations and styling of this place is cute and welcoming. The food comes out looking pretty decent for most dishes. SERVICE (2/5): Had to flag like 3 different people down before the person who can actually take our order take the order. Our water jug was taken away and never brought back which we needed to flag for again. TAKEAWAYS: If you're coming here only get the soup dumplings. Otherwise this place was not worth the calories.
The food here was really good, but the overall service left a little bit to be desired. The staff and our waiter were very nice and attentive with the basics, but the interaction felt pretty transactional, just people doing their jobs rather than guiding the experience. It would have been nice to get some solid recommendations or guidance on what to order, especially with so many options on the menu. That being said, the food absolutely delivered: Spicy Wontons / Dumplings: Packed with flavor and tossed in a rich, savory chili-sesame sauce (it was a little heavy on the peanut sauce). Spicy beef: Tender, perfectly seasoned, and served hot with great wok char, (too much onion IMO). Pork Chop Fried Rice: Juicy, crispy pork chop served over well-executed fried rice. (My favorite of the night). Overall, the restaurant is clean, well lite and a solid spot for tasty dumplings and Chinese staples. With a little more engagement and menu guidance from the team, it would easily be a 5-star experience!

It's a little hit or miss here. Xiao Long Dumplings expanded to this brand new plaza in Spring Valley less than a year ago. Having finally tried their original location a couple years back, I was due to check this new spot out to see whether this place is really almost half a star better as their Yelp rating suggests. It kinda wasn't. Their hits will hit for sure though. The House Special Pork XLB ($9.95 / 6 pc) is definitely a go-to. The wrapper is soft enough that one actually burst while I was trying to lift it (properly) from the steamer basket. The broth and pork may not be mindblowing, but they are pretty well-flavored, and they go very nicely with a roughly 3:1 (DIY) vinegar to soy sauce blend and a touch of julienned ginger. There is an actual small dim sum menu at this location, and fortunately we tried the Shrimp Har Gow ($6.95 / 4 pc) from it. This was a surprisingly great version with juicy and flavorful shrimp, certainly comparable to any made-to-order dim sum I've had in town. And the last item I'd reorder is a Handmade Scallion Pancake ($7.95) that was great on its own but went well with a more soy sauce-leaning blend of the tableside sauces that also incorporated the surprisingly mild chili oil. The Fried Shrimp Wonton ($6.95 / 6 pc) seemed like a safe option at first, but it didn't quite work for me. The tail end of the wrapper seemed to be either a little too brown or too heavy with the oil flavor. The Shrimp & Pork & Leek Dumplings ($10.95 / 6 pc) were really bland, enough so that all of the sauces couldn't save it. The BBQ Pork Bun ($6.95 / 3 pc) was the worst item we tried despite supposedly being a popular order. It's too sweet, the meat is too finely ground, and the dough is a little too mushy (especially an issue when I tried to use sauces to save it). Music was light and gentle, probably some sort of Chinese language stuff since I couldn't identify it. The dining area was clean and reasonably well-lit. The cup of Jasmine Tea ($2.95) was reasonably well-flavored, although I could've skated by on the complimentary iced water. The tip calculation on the point of sale system uses the post-tax total, which is a rare issue among restaurants around here but still feels wrong. Xiao Long Dumplings can be a great spot for a brunch/lunch if you order the right menu items. Maybe those marked with the star symbol as a Chef's Special are it? I will be wary about returning for anything other than what I know I've enjoyed.

We came to eat as a family here for dinner. There was no wait which was awesome. However, the parking lot was crazy full and a little small. Our order: Honey walnut shrimp, chef-special tofu and seafood dish, beef brisket noodle soup, crab cheese wontons, shrimp tempura, and the pork and shrimp truffle shumai. The shumai had a special that night for only a dollar so of course we ordered it. Our server was nice however I felt like he should've checked on us more. I had to flag him a couple times. The food was fresh and it came out fast. We enjoy the food and we're very satisfied. I would come again if I'm in the area.
Xiao long dumplings is not being mentioned as one of the best places to eat in Vegas It's like eating at a super expensive dumpling place on the strip and also one that's super popular in Chinatown combined, and better! Had a little bit of everything Waygu XLB - broth was packed with flavor Beef Kimchi dumplings (pan fried) - had a good kick. It was perfectly fried Shrimp chow fun - one of the better ones I've had in Vegas, also not greasy Honey Walnut shrimp - Not overly sweet, good texture. Solid. Service was exceptional and the food comes out fast! Usually when you have a menu this big, there's a fall off somewhere because it's hard to do everything good. But they don't miss a beat here. I just need to come back for the dessert XLBs next time. This will be a go to recommendation for Chinese in Vegas!

Wanted a lighter meal when driving through LV. So glad we tried Xiao Long Dumplings! Reservations are only required for groups over 6 so we were seated immediately. We would have loved to try more options, but most dishes are family sized so we decided on the pork XLB, green beans, BBQ pork buns (manapua) & braised beef noodle soup. We enjoyed everything, but the BBQ Pork buns were on the sweeter side and would probably not order this again. The green beans were perfectly cooked and arrived quickly. The braised beef noodle soup was enjoyed even on a hot day as the restaurant is pleasantly air conditioned. The star of the dinner were the pork XLB soup dumplings! The vinegar is on the sweeter side, but a dash of shoyu made it perfect. Would definitely want to try more options as the food is reasonably priced. Soft drinks are refillable and the iced cold pitcher of water was appreciated. read more

Nice space and love the wall dumpling mural, very cute. Why the low review? Well, they served us raw wontons - like totally raw. We also ordered the special pork xiao long dumplings and the fish and chive dumplings. Those were cooked but not very good. Totally lost my appetite for the rest of the day. I think you are better off going to Trader Joe's and grabbing some of their dumplings. Please come and create your own adventure and hopefully it will be better than mine. read more
Second timer! Had a little family dinner and it was exceptional. Our table ordered: The sautéed green beans, 2 orders of the pork xiao long dumplings, 1 beef dumpling, a braised beef noodle soup, and shrimp fried rice. Everything was delicious and came out within 10-15 minutes. Tristan was our server and he did great. Restaurant was clean and overall service was impeccable. Overall 9.2/10. Service 4/5 - friendly overall, fast service, patient, understanding Venue and Ambiance 4/5 - clean, spacious, comfortable, good lighting, many seats available (only problem is the front can get busy) Food - overall rating 4/5 Xiao Long Dumplings 4/5 - texture of meat is perfect, slightly soft with a bit of spring - juicy dumpling, but can use more of that meat juice! - nice and thin dumpling wrap, perfect consistency consistency Veggie Fried Rice 3/5 - nothing special, good quality rice but slightly bland Beef Spring Onion Wrap 3.5/5 - refreshing with the cucumbers - good beef flavour and consistency, not chewy at all - can use a little more salt to bind everything together - not too oily! The restaurant is spacious and kept clean. There are three type of condiments on the table: chili oil, black vinegar, and soy sauce. I do appreciate that each table comes with a water carafe. Spicy Cucumber salad The sauce is pretty flavorful and sticks with the cucumber. Although it says spicy, it is not. On a hot day, this cold dish goes well with any meal. Crispy beef I was told this was a popular dish and I can see why. A lot of asian restaurants is "family style." Pretty much sharing food. This comes with a bunch of beef slices and it is comparable to orange chicken. It does the job and is a good filler so that way you don't have to order a bunch of dishes. I can see why it is popular due to the orange chicken taste, but I am really not a fan as it is fried and I really can't taste the beef. Flavorful, don't miss this dish, but not for me. XLB pork (not pictured) Very good soup dumplings. Should not be missed. It is pretty much the same then the other fancy restaurants. Mini fried pork dumplings Pretty sure this is a smaller XLB pork, just fried at the base. Still delicious. Steamed dumpling beef and onion (not pictured) Pretty good steamed dumpling and very flavorful. Something that you don't see other places offer and a must try. XLB Wagyu beef (not pictured) I prefer the pork over the beef. The pork is a bit more sweeter and well the "wagyu" may read fancy, but pork is where it all begins. Opt for the pork if you have to pick one. Steamed dumpling shrimp, pork and leek (not pictured) This was one i was expecting to be good, but i was not impressed at all. It was meaty and there was a piece of shrimp in it, but it wasn't seasoned to bring out the flavors. I would skip this and purchase it from a frozen bag in the super market. Service was great and the staff was very attentive. The food is comparable to the fancy dumpling restaurant and should be given a shot. Drop and don't miss the braised beef noodle soup. I've been here twice now and can confidently say this place is a 4 star restaurant all day, but I'm giving it 5 for several reasons: The wood ear mushroom salad is out of control delicious. If you are a mushroom person, pleeaaaasse order this. The texture is fabulous and the flavor is a vinegar bomb in the best way. The lamb dishes (specifically the dry pot) are out of control. Perfect spiciness and the lamb was super tender. The soup dumplings are very, very good. The first time I went was a 5, this last time was a 4. One thing I'd love to see improve - the timing of the dishes. We specifically asked for certain items "to start," but everything in whatever order, both times. However - I looooove that there is actually space for a little elbow room in this place and I'm beyond stoked that we have a Spring Mountain quality Asian spot in south summerlin! We decided to try Xiao Long Dumplings on Valentine's Day for lunch with the 3 kids. We came at a good time. It wasn't very busy. My wife and I been to the other location on Spring Mountain. This time, we both didn't think the food was bursting with flavor. Food was kinda bland. The fried rice was for sure bland. The only thing that stood out was the salt n pepper pork chops and the dessert xlb's. Service was good, attentive, and friendly. Restaurant was clean and tidy. We came out to Xiao Long Dumplings for date night this last week, and wow were we impressed!! The soup dumplings are absolutely to die for. Delicate, hand made dumplings packed with SO much flavor! The broth is beautiful, the fillings delicious...our favorite of the night were the wasabi ones, but they were all delicious. We also had some of the shumai and the steamed dumplings, all of which were phenomenal. Service was prompt and polite. We cannot wait to go back again, with friends! OH! We also ordered Kung Pao chicken to go, and a Tom Yum shrimp noodle soup to go as well. Both were phenomenal, and they packaged my noodles separately to keep them from getting soggy! We tried this location recently. Have been to their other location on spring mountain. The inside was nice and very modern. Loved their decor and the mural of the colorful dumplings on the wall. Also the back wall with the illustrations of how to eat a dumpling was cute. The inside is very clean and the table setting was nice. Their menu is expansive with lots of choices to pick from, they even had dessert dumplings. We ordered the traditional XL soup dumplings, spicy shrimp and pork soup dumplings, wonton with chili oil & peanut sauce and green beans. The soup dumplings were delicious and filled with a good amount of soup. The green beans were good as well, had good flavoring. However, I personally didn't care for the peanut sauce in the spicy dumplings. It was a creamy texture and I prefer wontons with just simple chili oil ( that's just my personal preference). The peanut sauce kind of reminded me of the peanut sauce you get from a Vietnamese restaurant for spring rolls. Also they don't give you much of the shredded ginger as I found myself asking for more at l least a couple of times. Overall the place is good and they have alot to choose from. We were in the area and decided to stop by since we've had the Chinatown location before and remembered it being really good. The restaurant itself is clean, looks fairly new, and our waiter was extremely friendly and helpful. Service-wise, no complaints at all. Unfortunately, the food just didn't live up to our expectations. Here's what we ordered: Pork/Shrimp Xiao Long Bao & Beef Xiao Long Bao - 1/5 We came here specifically for the XLB, and honestly... they were a huge letdown. We loved them at the Chinatown location, but these were nothing like that. The wrappers kept sticking to the paper liner, so the moment you tried to pick them up, all the soup spilled out and the dumpling tore apart. The skin would separate from the filling and just collapse. We told our waiter, and he kindly took them back and brought out a fresh basket. Same exact issue. As soon as you lift them, they break and the soup is gone. Even trying to gently peel them off didn't help. That's just not how Xiao Long Bao should be. Stir-Fried Green Beans - 4/5 Probably the best thing we had. They were flavorful and cooked perfectly. No complaints there. Shrimp Dumplings - 2/5 The filling was pretty bland, and the wrapper was too thick. They also looked dry inside, which made them even less enjoyable. Salted Yolk Shrimp - 4/5 The shrimp weren't as crispy as I expected and were slightly wet, but the flavor was good and they weren't overcooked. I honestly felt bad for our waiter because he kept apologizing for the XLB falling apart. They did remove them from the bill, which we appreciated. But at the end of the day, we came here for the soup dumplings and left really disappointed. I won't be back unless they fix the XLB -- because sadly ... that's the whole reason to come here in the first place. read more
Came to Xiao Long Dumpling on a Sunday and was pleasantly surprised--no wait at all, which already put things off to a great start. The staff were honestly some of the nicest and most sincere I've experienced. Super welcoming, patient, and genuinely kind throughout the whole meal. Ordering is simple and efficient--you mark your choices with paper and pencil, and the food came out relatively quickly. Portions were solid, especially the braised beef noodle soup, which was large, well-seasoned, and very satisfying. We also tried the Siu Mai dim sum (not bad at all), along with the soup dumplings and wontons, which definitely hit the spot. Everything tasted fresh and comforting. Overall, great service, smooth ordering process, good portion sizes, and a relaxed experience with zero wait. Will definitely be back next time I'm craving dumplings in Vegas! read more

The space features a more modern interior with charming dumpling pictures that gives it a fresh, welcoming feel. Service was excellent throughout our visit -- the staff was friendly, attentive, and helpful without being overbearing. We ordered a variety of dishes including dumplings, XLB, soups, fried rice, and the sautéed string beans. String beans are always a must for us, and this version did not disappoint. Everything we tried was well prepared and flavorful, but the standout dish was the crispy beef, which is a definite must-order. All of the dumplings are fresh, juicy and flavorful. Personal favorites are spicy pork wontons, Waygu XLB, pork and truffle dumplings and the bok choy. Another great thing about here is when you order, the food is FAST. I'm talking we were in and out in less than an hour So if you want a quick but delectable dinner, this is a great spot. And don't let the check in time fool you! It said a 35 minute wait and we got in at 15ish minutes. Now here is my only complaint. We ate here yesterday and today, I'm two lbs heavier. No regrets. The xiao long baos, we tried the pork and the foie gras. Love the pork. We also tried the pan fried buns and they were a big let down. Each one was tiny and underwhelming. I'm glad we tried that so now we know. :) The foie gras, I didn't really taste that in there so I'd stick with the classics like pork and crab. The dim sum dishes were decent but not spectacular. We got the shumai, the har gow, and the BBQ pork buns. My favorite was the shumai. The har gow tasted like it was frozen and the BBQ pork buns had poor meat to bun ratio. We loved the beef chow fun, can't go wrong! And the salted yoke shrimp. I love that dish. It's so rich and yummy. A win on the stir fries. The decor here is so warm and welcoming. Clean. Wonderful service. I'm happy with the large menus instead of having to use a QR code or a little piece of paper. Very happy to have tried this spot.
