I stopped by to pick up my Hungry Panda order. The door was open and upon arrival, there is a young female shop attendant who said that they are closed. There are still a group of 4 in the shop and clearly their drinks are being made. I was very confused because they are shown as open on the app. Either way I was already charged so I asked for a refund. She said she was not in charge of that and that I can return when there is a manager present and "don't worry. Our shop will always be here so you will get your money back." The money is not the point. This is probably the rudest way for anyone to end 2021. While I understand employes are in a hurry to go home, I would have appreciated a better attitude from her because I would never return to this shop again, refund or not. read more

I went here twice since they opened back in January, as I was looking for a good brown sugar boba milk other than one from Tiger Sugar. Turns out, even with this one costing 50 cents more, it is worth it for the fresh boba and flame torched brown sugar on top. The experience was more immersive, as they make the boba in front of you and assemble the drink in front of you, inside or outside of the place. When I went back in February (before COVID), there was a long line about three weeks after they opened and it was worth it, even the second time I visited in mid-October. The brown sugar syrup stays warm when you received the drink, with nice cold milk. It is considerably less bold than Tiger Sugar in terms of the sweetness of the brown sugar, but still has that sweet taste present. But I will recommend going here in the afternoon, rather than going in the morning, as the boba served in the morning is not as fresh and using the last day's supply, so I would recommend going there in the afternoon to ensure you get the fresh boba as fresh as possible. But definitely, I would recommend this place over Tiger Sugar for their brown sugar boba milk, maybe aim one day for the gold version. read more

While I waited today for my drinks, my mom who was waiting outside was watching them make brown sugar boba and from there you can see directly into the kitchen. A male worker in the kitchen used his feet to stomp on the bag of brown sugar with his dirty @$$ sneakers (my guess to break up the clumps of sugar in the bag). Then proceeded to put the bag on the counter (which was on the floor just a min ago), open the bag and pour it into the wooden container holding the brown sugar. The sugar was then poured into the the boba for mixing. Amid a global pandemic, you really think it was a good idea to put step on a food product with your shoes and not even wipe the bag before putting on it in the counter where you prepare the drinks?!? If I can post negative -5 I will, the worst experience I ever had. First I was excited to give this place a try with my friend that was new to town as this place is the new hot spot. I paid with Apple Pay as it showed on the window the option is available. The cashier confirmed they do take Apple Pay so I did it. My phone send me a confirmation it was charged to my card and said it was approved. However the cashier said it didn't go thorough and she said I have to pay again. Then the manager Gabriella came out with the rest of the staffs all pressured me to pay again, which makes no sense. The man in the front makes the bubble said my card only said it's pending. Excuse me, you don't work for my bank company, how can you speak on their behalf? And how do you know that's what my phone showed. So I showed my phone that said approved on the windows to all the staffs. The manager, Gabriella continues to make me pay twice if not she wouldn't give me my drinks that I already paid for. She said she will refund back to me if my bank statement came out it was charged twice. She said it's her network problem but she can't show me anything that it was broken or what her issues was. Everything is one sided with no proof. Plus why do I have to come back and go through the trouble for your mistake, I don't live in flushing, why do I have to come all the way back? And how can I approve it was charge twice, if you argue that I came here twice instead. Everything was what you said and you can't show me any proof that it was not charge the first time and on the other hands I have all the proof that i paid for my drinks already. With the pressures from all her staffs and the long line, I have to pay twice if not she wouldn't give me my drinks. In the end I made her write me a notes that she will refund me back but I am so unsatisfied with the experience. Now the statement came out I was charged twice and I have to go back be on the long line again to get my refund back which she might or might not refund me, this whole incident was all played by her anyway with no proof. I don't understand why I have to proof what I already paid when nothing on my side goes wrong and to go back and forward for the trouble. Those people there are unreasonable and I must said rude and blaming their customer for their mistake or it's just their set up to get customer to pay twice or no drink at all. read more

Xing Fu Tang is exactly as everyone describes it. Not as sweet as the competitor down the street (you know which tiger I'm talking about) and nicer bubbles. Everything is freshly made and made in front of you as you line up to order. I like that I can see the hygiene practices (very good) and that there's no bullshit regarding how your drink is made. The drink price is on par with everyone else serving bubble tea nowadays and can be really steep. Extra $.50 for "no ice" because of the extra milk they have to pour in. It makes no sense, and I'll tell you why. Did you have to pay extra to get it hot? Was there any ice in "hot" drinks? Exactly. What am I? Stupid? I had the Brown Sugar Milk Boba, Brown Sugar Milk Tea, and the Honeycomb Jasmine Tea. Brown sugar MILK boba was lack luster. It didn't pack the punch of exciting flavor since it had been diluted and almost removed by the milk, however the bubbles stayed soft and succulent even in the icy cold milk. Would not get the "just milk + sugar" version ever again. The brown sugar milk TEA was great - highly recommend. If you were to come here to get 1 drink to try that is representative of what this place is all about, get this. The milk tea adds to the flavor of the brown sugar and it's totally awesome. The honeycomb jasmine tea thing, well - maybe it's my fault, maybe it's their fault but I wasn't sure why they had limes in it first of all, secondly - I was not thinking clearly and did not remove the limes before putting it in the fridge to enjoy tomorrow morning. Purchased less than 10 hours ago, I tried it and it was very bitter due to the thin slices of lime. There was a lot of lime, more surface area = more lime peel essence that seeped into the drink making it bitter. I'm not sure about this one and I'm not going to pretend. Due to the waxy honeycomb bits floating around (broken comb, no honey inside) and the bitterness of the lime, I would not order this again. However, I could tell it was very good Jasmine tea. I am a fair person - they get 5 stars for the bubble tea - it is delicious I am a high risk individual in this terrible pandemic, so I have to be very careful. I was thrilled when they started to accept orders online. We have been dependent on the curbside and online pick ups. The tea is good and I was glad I am able to enjoy it without risking my life. We have been doing online order 3 times in the past week. However when I walked in today and went to the PICK UP area where I see my order sitting there. They asked me to go get in line to the order area with the narrow walkway where you are going head to head with oncoming customers that just placed their order and going to wait for pick up. I felt very uncomfortable and had to wait behind 5 more customers just so I can go to the order register and say I ordered online????? That defeats the purpose of doing an online order for quick pick up. I felt uncomfortable because with their set up. I am not even sure it is following the CDC Protocol. I may have to check up with the city on that. I know it is a chain from Taiwan but you are in the US now and should at least follow the US ways of online orders. When I asked why the girl told me online order is faster - Yes it is faster if you can just pick it up. How is it faster when I still have to wait inside a small tiny area with god knows what kind of filtration system they have to get the the register so I can tell you - My order is right there!!!!?????? Had it a few times in Taiwan and the lines were crazy there too. Only positive from Covid is the fact that there are less ppl waiting on line for drinks now. When the store initially opened it was crazy busy. I hope they stay in business as the store front is big and in a prime location. I've been getting a few drinks a week now. Love the fresh made boba which tastes more like mochi that hard chewy boba. Some ppl like it and others feel it's too soft. The brown sugar isn't super sweet when mixed with fresh milk. Service was really efficient, line moved really quickly. The boba was pricey ($6.50), but that is expected for New York. It was perfect, not too sweet and had a crispy texture (brûlée). They are known for brown sugar milk tea & handmade bubbles The picture depicts the matcha & jasmine tea which were both very tasty although I wish they were less sweeter and contained less ice.
