I have been here a couple of times and to be completely honest I love their fortune telling station. I highly believe that it is true. My friend also picked one and said it was pretty true overall. I really enjoy the whole experience of seeing them make the Boba and also picking out my own fortune. I highly recommend coming here if you're in the area to grab a fortune or to try one of their brown sugar, Boba. I definitely want to try their ice cream the next time I'm there, however the multiple times I've been I've never had a chance to try it. Drinks are OK sometimes they run specials. I would say that the Boba is pretty fresh and pretty good. The Boba drink itself is very small so just be aware of that and you can't adjust sugar or ice levels. read more

The reviews for this place aren't that great. Not sure why since they make the boba fresh everyday. I had wanted to try this place when it first opened but we all know how hectic grand openings are for many food and drink shops in the Bay Area. So I waited for the buzz to die down before finally trying this place with my work wife. It was so worth the wait! Not to mention once they rolled out mobile order ahead and were on DoorDash, it was so easy to order it and have it dropped off at our doorstep. As far as the vibe, long gone are my days of wanting to be out all hours of the evening with friends at boba shops. But it definitely has the dance music and hangout vibe of a typical boba shop. With that said, you can order at the giant kiosks or at the counter. I've never actually ordered there but if you want the soft serve, you have to go in store to order it (no online orders). It's worth it! Other than that, the fact that this is one of the newer boba places makes it one of my top three favorites. The boba is definitely more on the gelatinous/soft side than being the typical QQ as it's fresh made instead of made, dried, then reconstituted. The service was great, I wasnt sure on what to order and the workers were very helpful and I was very happy with their help and recommendations. The boba was fresh and I watched them make everything in front of me. I went on a busy day and there was a pretty long line but it took no longer than 30 minutes. There was a good amount of area to sit and be able to enjoy drinks and overall was very clean. You know me, Fresh off the Plane from Asia. Xinh Fu Tang kindly decided to help save me the troubles to travel back, and brought their infamous boba recipes with them opening up a new location in Milpitas. The small plaza that Xing Fu Tang is in has a ton of different boba shops all next to each other because as you know, "keep your enemies closer" Inside was very nice and spacious feeling but only because there was no tables or chairs. Funny enough pretty much all the boba spots in this plaza have the same layout and mimic each other with little to nowhere to sit . These shops also pretty much all have kiosks to order from. My first time here I decided to order the ice cream soft serve with their signature dark brown sugar boba that made them famous. My order came out so quickly, and I had anticipated my order to come with tea and have the ice cream on top, but we were fooled. It's just ice cream, BUT I'm not complaining because it was sooo good for my little sweet tooth m. I actually really enjoyed my order, and I'll definitely be back (after Hawaii). Sorry Xing Fu Tang I got a summer body to maintain, but as soon as cuffing szn starts I'll come back here every time I get heart broken and gobble down their delicious ice cream. read more

I think their drinks are ok, I got my roasted oolong less sweet so that might be why it didn't hit. Though my gf said her smoothie was just ok too. I tried Xing Fu Tang for the first time, it is known for their brown sugar drinks. The Taiwanese Boba milk tea with less sugar is pretty good, love the milk tea flavor. I like how the boba is on the chewy side. You can really taste the coconut flavor for the Coconut Dalgona boba, it pairs really with the brown sugar boba and dalgona. Finally tried the famous Brown Sugar Boba! There were both good and bad things about the drink. The good part was fhe boba itself. Perfectly soft and chewy and coated in a delicious caramelized brown sugar glaze. However, the drink was just okay. It is simply plain milk from the grocery store (we actually saw them using exactly that). It lacked creaminess and the top was not torched enough, so we didn't get to enjoy the hardened bits of creme brulee I was looking for. I think the boba pearls really saved the drink, or else it would've been very mediocre. Wasn't too busy on a Friday close to closing time. Really delicious, 've been meaning to try this place but haven't been in the Milpitas area much. I wasn't expecting a lot because a lot of people say that their boba is better than their drinks but I had a great experience with my order. I selected the Taiwanese milk tea drink with no sugar and brown sugar boba, as I expected the boba to be steeped in enough brown sugar syrup to sweeten the flavor of the drink. I was proven correct! No sugar is the way. The beverage itself was really delicious and the tea was fragrant, I just wish there was a way to make the non-dairy orders dairy the same way that it is typically possible to make dairy orders non-dairy. I drank half of my drink and left it in my refrigerator overnight, expecting the pearls to harden up afterwards. To my pleasant surprise, they were still really chewy and retained their texture more than average boba places would! Definitely a great novelty that they hand roll all their pearls, it's hard to find that level of quality in the Bay, even amongst so many different varieties of boba shops. I stopped by after dinner because my family was craving boba. I was too bloated from dinner, so I wanted something refreshing (aka not milk). I ended up choosing lychee boba oolong tea because lychee boba sounds cool. It's popping boba though, I don't know why I thought it would be lychee flavored tapioca. It worked out for me because popping boba has less calories anyway, and the drink was indeed pretty refreshing. I only wish that they give less ice in their drinks (it's 75cents to opt for no ice btw), and that the drink is slightly less sweet at the "less sugar" option. I thought my drink was pretty sweet, so their default must've been extremely sweet for this drink. The lychee boba itself is already like a burst of sugar. For those who LOVES tapioca pearl aka boba, you would love this place because they do not skimp on the portion. They weigh the boba to make sure they're giving you 1/3 of the cup. Other places usually base it solely on the scoops. Overall, the quality of the drink was good. Definitely on the pricier side though. Wow! We were excited to try the boba here after hearing about the hype and that this is a much loved chain from Taiwan. We ordered pickup to avoid a wait but the store was surprisingly pretty empty on a Saturday afternoon. For drinks we got the brown sugar boba milk tea and the rose tea with lime. I loved the boba - perfectly chewy and the right amount of sweetness in the boba itself. I was glad I got the brown sugar milk tea with less sugar as the boba itself sweetened the drink and the tea helped balance out the brown sugar flavor. The storefront is nice and clean. They have 2 ordering kiosks and a cute setup on the right where you can draw giant sticks to get your fortune (I forget what this is called and forgot to take a photo). We ordered the earl grey MT and brown sugar MT with stir fried boba. I got my brown sugar MT with no sugar to offset the boba. This was the perfect level of sweetness for me and the tea itself was so good - truly top quality which is why I rounded up to 4 stars. The boba, however, was inconsistent and disappointing. Some pearls were delicious and had a nice bouncy texture but others were straight up mushy. I've heard you had to get it right when it's freshly made for it to be perfect, but I was disappointed that it was so mushy just two hours after opening. Flavor was good though and tasted very fresh - you can even see one of the coworkers working on the fresh boba on the side counter. Solid tea spot. I'm willing to give the boba another chance next time - maybe we'll get lucky with a fresher batch. read more

They're known for their fresh & chewy brown sugar boba which I got with their Taiwanese black milk tea at 0% sweet ($6.50). The brown sugar boba balances out the strong tea and provides the perfect amount of sweetness. The boba has that nice chewy qq texture and they add plenty to one cup. Unfortunately there is no oat milk option but for this drink nondairy creamer is used (not sure if other drinks have this option). If you want a milky taste then I recommend the black tea latte. In a plaza with two other boba shops and more across the street, the competition for boba is stiff in this area. I had high expectations for Xing Fu Tang after hearing the hype from some friends about their house-made brown sugar boba being the absolute best they've ever had. Both times we went, we were fortunate to not have to wait long to order. There were just a couple of parties ahead of us. Orders are done on a kiosk while workers are busy preparing drinks behind partitions that show everything. The showstopper is the giant pot of brown sugar boba being cooked and constantly stirred. Maybe this is how it's supposed to be, but I found the boba to be too mushy rather than the usual chewy QQ. That's probably due to it being simmered in brown sugar for so long -- and again, maybe that's the whole point -- but it wasn't my ideal boba. Signature Brown Sugar Boba Milk Tea. Suuuper sweet. Like, I know brown sugar drinks are often unadjustable in sweetness levels and the name itself has "sugar" in it, so I expected the drink to be sweet, but this was a bit much.
