Was quoted a price of $112 on an oil change for my Subaru Crosstrek and then charged $152. When I complained the guy said there was an oil up price for my vehicle. Stopped in yesterday to get an oil change. Pulled up to the open, empty bay as I usually do (been going here for a few years) and was told quite abruptly by an employee to move my car to the parking lot as I was in their way. While moving my car I was approached by another employee to MOVE my car. I moved car to parking area and walked inside to be helped at the counter by one of the employees that I interacted with outside. He asked gruffly, "what can I do for you" told him I needed an oil change. "you will have to wait over an hour, there are two cars ahead of you". By this time I am tired of rude employees and tell him so and leave. Go to Jiffy Lube on Dimond. They are much nicer and absolutely no waiting. read more

There used to be a super creepy and inappropriate guy who worked there but he doesn't work there anymore so it's safe to go back. They are speedy and I love that. Nice to grocery shop while getting oil changed. They fixed a leaky tire I had and it was very fast. read more

Worst place to go if you're needing your tires switched over or an oil change. I went in to get both and got a call saying the key to take my lug nuts off snapped and I need to go to the dealership and get a new one. I came back to the shop and they told me that the dealership put my lug nuts on too tight and that it snapped. I asked if they were able to get my oil change done at least and they said no. So I headed over to the dealership and I tell them what's going on. The guys at Xpress lube mentioned how they used a gun to get my lug nuts off. The dealership said you're not supposed to do that. They had a mechanic come out and try and get my lug nuts off and he was able to get them off with a hand crank. We notice that they broke one of my lug nuts off completely and cracked another one. When we called to let them know what they had done they went on to say there is nothing they can do and that they can't help us. They were very rude on the phone. I would not suggest coming here. read more

Good service. Got my tires changed over and oil change done for about $160 (synthetic oil). It took two hours but that was because there were 2 people ahead of me and it was first come first serve. Luckily there's a Fred Meyer in the parking lot so I just wasted time there. I'd definitely come back again, this might be my new spot to always go to (last place made me wait 30 mins to tell me they didn't have a filter for my car...? Why not just tell me that before I wasted 30 mins?). Also, the bathroom was spotless. read more

Today I stopped in to ask if they could grease my chassis (ball joints, steering, etc)on my truck, any other time I have had no issue with this store in the past doing any work for me but the guy basically told me he would charge me 90- oh wait 105.00 an hour. they changed the rates according to the guy who was unwilling to even have me " pay 105 to do it myself" that's right the "professional" told me to do it myself, so you know what, that's what I'm going to do. I was willing to pay but even if it was part of an oil change I know my truck needed one and was willing to pay. But now I will be doing the work myself. Best part is after he tells me to do all the work myself, he wanted to have small talk about my truck. Not a real good look. Really irritating. read more

Great service! I can't recall the name of the fellow who helped us... I think he may have been the manager, but he was very friendly , engaging, and heled to get us in and out as quickly as possible. I highly recommend the shop... We were on a road trip from Phoenix to Alaska, I needed to get an oil change halfway through because of traveling so many miles. Manager tells me that the last place I went to left me with a oil leak. 2 weeks later I still have the leak and lost almost half the OIL I PAID FOR.. they are either scamming people or they just SUCK. read more

Past few times I've tried to get my oil changed here the service has ranged from poor to flat out turned away ("we won't get to your car for hours so you better go somewhere else"). They used to be fantastic, but haven't seen the same folks working there that used to. read more

I've had 3 oil changes here and I'm a fan. Service is quick, and they get the job done. This isn't the cheapest spot in anchorage, but I'm a believer of "you get what you pay for." In this case, I get an oil change with minimal hassle and a quick vacuum of the carpets. Plus, it's in the parking lot for Fred Meyer so I can do my grocery shopping while I wait. read more

Honest service at a reasonable price. I drove to Anchorage from Maryland, a road trip of nearly 5,000 miles. I planned to get an oil change and tire rotation at the local Toyota dealer. I called Toyota but they would not accommodate me during my 5 day stay in Anchorage - their next available slot for an oil change was in 11 days, no exceptions. So I consulted Yelp and found some positive reviews for Xpress Lube. The service people were very helpful and honest, and they serviced my Camry quickly and at a reasonable price. They performed a 14 point vehicle inspection, and everything was fine. I drove away as a happy, satisfied customer. If I lived here, I would definitely go back. Oh, as a bonus, the shop is located near Fred Meyer, so we were able to do some shopping while our car was serviced. read more
