About 10 minute drive from my workplace, didn't realize it would be this much of a hole in the wall. Doesn't really look open from the outside and very dimly lit on the inside. They had a Fantastic lunch special! 4 pieces of sushi, teriyaki chicken, fried rice, miso soup, and salad for about 8 bucks. Definitely beats stopping at a drive through and eating in the car

What a great addition to Charlestown! Basic but authentic interior, relaxing Japanese meditation music and nicer than expected seating and tables. TV I. The back is of tropical fish instead of sports or news. I had teriyaki chicken and fried rice. Just a tad too much salt for my tastes, most will not mind. Fried rice was great! Serveice friendly and extremely fast, again not what I would expect for this area. I'll be a regular for lunch if they keep this up, even if they were in Louisville. Sorry for the bad photos, my cell phone camera is broken and takes odd colored photos.

Delicious and the app is super convenient. My order was already ready when I arrived. Veggie yakisoba was amazing and the sushi is also very tasty.

I have eaten here 3-4 times, and the food has been consistently pretty good. I have always ordered carry out, though, so I can't comment on the dining room experience at this time. I would recommend you try it if you like Hibachi-style food. My friend loved the Spicy Salmon Sushi!

It's good! I'm really glad Charlestown has a sushi place. Yamato roll is excellent. 4 stars because the service isn't bad....it's just not 5 stars.

The last steak and bourbon dinner I had was at my father's birthday dinner back in March…read more The service was incredible per usual and the food did not disappoint. I had a salad and my family members had steak and shrimp that was in essence a reflection of the wholesome nature that steak and bourbon provides you with. We usually try to go to the one downtown but this time we went to the one on the east side for the sake of the reservation. The saxophone player was very talented. Which, made me leave him a cash tip as I love jazz. It is fair to say, that we had a phenomenal experience based on how well we were treated by our server who was a recent transplant from out of state and even the U.S. as she shared her story with us which was very much so moving and compelling. We always have a wonderful time at steak and bourbon together as a family. But, I personally will have to point out that my favorite part of the whole dinner is the live music and the wonderful ambiance that in a way, fosters excitement, and intimacy if the right person or people happen to join you during such a special environment.

We came for my partners bday dinner & we definitely want to go back & have already been recommending it to others!! For apps, I ordered lobster bisque & he ordered French onion soup & we both agreed the quality is the best we've had in Louisville, he even went as far to claim it's the best he's had in Louisville. So delicious!! We both weren't fans of the candle bread, sure it's intriguing & unique but it was too oily, bland, & salty to really enjoy. For entrees I had the NY strip which was made med rare exactly how I enjoy it along with their homemade steak sauce but be wary the charge $2 for it!!! My side was the shepherds pie & I was extremely full & couldn't finish anything the soups were filling!! My partner ordered ribeye and omg it was amazing, sooooo juicy & yummy full of flavors I wish I had gotten it, thankfully he shared. He ordered side of parm broccoli & they're very generous with the cheese that he even had to scrap some off. We had to order the complimentary multi layered dessert to go because we were toooooo full!! Everything was worth the money well spent & I paired mine with extra dirty martini & both my partner & I claim it's one of the best we've had! This place is def worth the hype & we should've gone here sooner!!! I want to check out their downtown location as well, but it's also nice to shop around the Westport area. Love love love!!

Tonight was my first time at Stoney River. I brought my family here to celebrate my college kids'…read moresuccesses this year. When we went we did not have reservations. When we walked in there were about 4 hostesses standing behind the counter. When we asked if they would be able to seat us they looked us over. The one hostess we were talking to kind of laughed and another hostess walked over to the first one, whispered something in her ear. Then the first one said they couldn't seat us. My daughter asked how long the wait was. The hostess paused and finally said about 30 minutes. We left because the vibe they were giving us was that they didn't want to seat us which I didn't understand. We were well dressed so I couldn't imagine it was our attire, but that was the vibe they were giving us. When we left, I told my kids it must be because we didn't have a reservation. I was trying to the hostesses the benefit of the doubt. My daughter got online and made a reservation for 30 minutes out, as we all decided we really wanted to try Stoney River. We walked back in 5 minutes before our reservation. Now there were about 5 hostesses behind the counter. I could tell from their faces that they recognized us and a couple of them were whispering again. I walked up to the counter and gave them our reservation information and they said ok. While we were eating we saw them walking by the kitchen looking at us again. This was not a look as if they were checking on us. Our server was nice and did a good job. The food and wine were fine but I have to say the experience with the hostesses really ruined the experience that I couldn't even focus on the food. Unfortunately, we won't be back. It was the oddest experience I've ever had at a restaurant.

We were greeted with an anniversary card and complimentary champagne for a toast - a very nice touch. We ordered a mimosa and red sangria from the brunch cocktail menu - $8 each. Wife enjoyed the mimosa and the sangria was a generous pour and very tasty. Then they brought out a basket of fried biscuits with cinnamon butter - outstanding! For our entrees, she had the Lobster Avocado Toast, which came with two large slices topped with avocado, sunny-side up eggs and massive chunks of lobster served with a side of roasted, parmesan crusted tomatoes, and I ordered the Crispy Chicken & Waffle, Nashville Hot style, which also came with thick-cut bacon. Both dishes were magnificent! I cleaned my plate and she could only finish one of the pieces of toast, so we boxed up the other. Finally, we unexpectedly received a large slice of chocolate cake as a complimentary dessert. We were so full we had it boxed up to take with us. The staff really went above and beyond, and the food and beverages were outstanding. All of this for less than $60, plus tip. Could not have been a better experience. Don't sleep on this place!
